if you look at scossett's graph and draw a line between the origin and the last game played then the angle of that line with the x-axis would be proportional to his ROI

do this in your head for 50k/100k/200k games played and try to remember that 200000 games is ALOT, before internet/ multitabling I doubt not even one pro played more than 10000 tournaments

it's truly sick how much variance there is in this game (variance doesn't mean luck necessarily here, also other things like changing game conditions etc)

A reg in one of the games I play... massive nit but I would be too after dumping most of the 5K back

Dunnow if this qualifies, but I think it's quite remarkable.
Guy was playing 20 tables so I figured he was at least somewhat decent. Then I saw him overcall with 77 facing a threeway all in in a donkament.

No learning curve in sight almost 4400 SnG's/MTT's in.
Hope the guy has a good paying job.

^^ Those are pretty sad. Reminds me of high-roller baller "sharks" from my local casino five years ago, always sitting at the 5/5 and 5/10 NLH with 4K stacks in front of them. Bluffing, 3betting, barelling draws, mixing in sets, crushing games, etc. They were very feared players.

Today I see the same "players" at the 1/2 NLH tables with a short stack.

Agree, and just because your outgoings aren't in graph form doesn't mean you're not w*nking away this kind of money yearly on beer, DVDs and pizza
