Canada is good, except I can't find a place to move to after the 20th.
04-04-2017 , 12:18 PM
Wait, how long are you in Canada and did you leave LA permanently?
04-04-2017 , 12:26 PM
I don't live in the USA. My visa only lets me stay there for 6 months. So, now I'm in Canada for 6 months.
04-04-2017 , 12:27 PM

We got other Canadians itt too, right?
04-04-2017 , 12:28 PM

Nah but I do QA work and program a machine to do stuff, so I'll sit waiting for my program to finish and can't do a whole lot else in the meantime.

Waiting to hear back about grad school....

Yeah, his name is Kevin O'Leary. lol

Not a terrorist btw but he's Trump ******ed cousin.

Tell me if this looks familiar.

I actually hope Trump doesn't **** **** up too badly and wish him well. As far as O'Leary is concerned, when I look at the USA experiment with Trump and the global uproar over it, I have no interest in O'Leary getting too far.

As long as my late night shows are funny AF, go trump go.

territories, not terrorists Majik

what program did you apply for?

How did you learn to write code? I am looking at an MBA, but I want to get into tech somehow for obv reasons. A lot of B Schools have Data science degrees, but it looks really watered down on the technical aspect
04-04-2017 , 01:02 PM
No coding, there's a GUI thankfully. The most I'd ever have to mess with is rules/layout and I just make the vendor do that stuff.

I just finished applying/interviewing for Doctor of Pharmacy programs because manufacturing industry without engineering/managerial experience = for the birds
04-04-2017 , 01:09 PM
What is a doctor of Pharmacy?
04-04-2017 , 01:10 PM
Well, you see fid, when a pharmacy gets sick they have to go and see the doctor. The doctor then gives them a sticker and a lolly until they feel all better!
04-04-2017 , 01:13 PM
Just kidding. Doctor of Pharmacy = professional degree required for Pharmacy practice in USA#1
04-04-2017 , 01:21 PM
fid, it's like 90k/year right out of school to hand out pills at a local cvs, if the computer says you can do it.

Easy job placement, easy day to day work, can do it anywhere in the country.

Fiddles, the degree is titled "Doctor of Pharmacy." The degree is not titled "pharmacist."

tl;dr need degree to do thing
04-04-2017 , 02:38 PM
I find it odd since a doctor is the one who prescribes, while pharmacists basically dispense.

Are pharms overtly claiming drs are racists?

My degree was Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering

I call myself a Civil Engineer.

You do it for the chicks.

Pharmacists in certain jurisdictions have the power to prescribe. In certain localities pharmacists can also prescribe things like birth control. And then you have clinical pharmacy, which is more of the earlier medication therapy management type stuff.

Times are-a-changin'.

I prefer to hurrrdurrr though
