Bought my mom some weird painting my wife told me she wanted but wouldnt pay $400 for. Bought my brother a nice air compressor for his shop, just cause he said he needed one.

Re: Times you felt slightly baller
One time after a sick blackjack session me and 5 friends walked into a bar we had never been to. I went up to the cute bartender, slapped down 200 dollars, and asked for 100 dollars worth of shots of Jack Daniels. That was a sick night.

I turned around to see who was talking and that is when I realized it was Phil Ivey. I proceeded to tell him that I have a good luck charm and he should go back and try to win with my lucky charm (A foreign Coin). At first he was like who is this guy then I told him a short story about it. I then gave it to him and told him since I was playing at the tourney, I would find him and get it back later.
Well, three hours later I'm at a table with David Williams and Paul Darden when Phil Ivey walks up and hands me the lucky charm along with a 1k chip and says "it worked". Pretty sweet.
I then proceeded to river flush out Paul Darden and then two hands later I coincidentally get knocked out by David Williams on a river flush.
I don't like David Williams.

Unless this is somehow widely known to be untrue...this is by far the most baller thing in this thread. Why isn't it getting any love?

Told my gf we were going to an italian resturant. She was a bit surprised when I handed over the flighttickets to Rome.

I almost believed it but the part of "I never told anyone" is just such bs.
This guy is obv lying after that.

Re: Times you felt slightly baller
If i were giving odds on the Phil Ivey story,
I'd probably say 10% chance it is true,
40% chance it is true-ish (i.e. he met Phil Ivey, heard the conversation, said hi, and that's about it)
50% chance it is bs.
But its been my experience that the big ballers like Phil Ivey and company don't have to wait in line for Jack S*** so I don't think the story is true.

Didn't wanna do the dishes, so I left them in my elevator in my apartment. They were gone in less than 2 hours.

BOOM nailed the zero.
Cashed out $3500 and used the money to buy a GQ leather jacket and laptop (back when laptops cost an arm and a leg).

That story was good until you said you bought a leather jacket...

Re: Times you felt slightly baller
Won about 3000 dollar in 2 month live at 2/4, invited my gf to a 3 week Bali trip (5* Resort), had baller dinner every night (steak, lobster, wines, beers, shots) went surfing, swimming with dolphins, made 2 day trips, went to clubs bought big bottles and were just living the good life.
All paid with poker monies with no regrets at all. That was pretty sweet.
