This guy is an old, like should be dead kinda old looking asian with a huge smirk on his face. I'm hoping he also caught a set. Turn is blank, I bet he calls. River is a third spade. I bet, he calls. He gets this smug ass look and announces to the whole table that he never looked at his hole cards. Middle-aged woman next to him (stereotype tourist looking fish to a t, fannypack) thinks it's a god damn riot. I table my set.

He then stands up like hes a friggin game show host and goes "Alright, let's see what we got here!" Starts to flip his cards over ONE AT A TIME (which puts me on insta-tilt anyway no matter what the situation). The first one is a spade, obviously. He looks at me and says "You think I got it?" Meanwhile the dealer isn't doing a damn thing about it. 2nd card is obv. a spade and he scoops the pot.

The woman I mentioned earlier is laughing her ass off, and decides to try the same "don't look at your cards" strategy for the next couple hands. The asian is explaining to her that he loves to play blind because "people are scared to bet into you, you could have anything!"

No bad beats ITT please.

- People that min-raise PF, min bet every street OOP and POT the river.
- People that agonise over folding a hand every single time like they were giving up their first born.
- When facing a bet after the river card has been delt, people that acts like they just got sucked out on. I mean the river is a total brick, "you hit your 2 pairs didn't you", why? are you folding TPTK? No you're not, you had **** all all the way. STFU and fold already.
- Did I mention death breath ?

People that act as though if the dealer controlled the cards. I mean seriously, I never tip dealers at my casino. Most of them are douchebags. They are unionized, they make like $50 an hour + full benefits, and they **** up on a consistent basis.

Montreal. Not easy to be employed by the casino here. I think they hired 4 people out of some 2000 initial applicants or something. You have to go through a whole lots of testing and interviews.

Creepy unnecessary staredowns.

Playing 1/2 nl last night and my table broke, got moved to a table that pretty much everyone had ~$150ish on. I have roughly 400.
The first hand mp raised to $7, I flatted in hj with sc's, cut off flats and small blind flats. Guy in bb is staring at me like I just burned his house down after raping his wife. I will have nightmares about the fire in his eyes.
He's not looking at the original raiser or anyone else in the hand, just directly at me with concentrated rage. I think maybe he's watching the hockey game on the tv behind me or something and actually look back to see if there's anything else he can possibly be looking at. There's not.
At this point I'm pretty creeped out and try breaking the awkwardness by reminding him that the actions on him. His glaze does not change and he moves all in for ~180ish.
The table insta folds and me and the cut off are kind of looking at each other like 'wtf just happened' and laughing a little bit, but not being rude about it. BB proudly tables j10o and says (very loudly to his neighbour) "I dont know what they're laughing at, I won the pot..... Kid thinks he can just come in here and push everyone around with his stack." (Keep in mind I was not the original raiser, and did not have a monster stack).

5/10 game, i raise AA preflop, 3 people to the flop.
flop is something like KT6 with 2 clubs. I bet about 75, next player calls, the third player with a stack of about 600 raises to 210 or something. i ship it, and he goes in the tank for 2 minutes. finally he calls with his set and says he was afraid of the flush draw.

people standing up and putting on their jacket when they are all-in on the flop or before the flop in a flip-type situation, "knowing" that they will lose yet again. i have seen it preflop with AA as well, the guy was claiming he always loses them (but doesnt want to fold them either for some reason).

Slowrollers: When you're HU to the river and facing a large bet, you open your cards trying to get a reaction showing him your 2 pairs. You finally decide to call and he goes "Great Call!" and then turns over trips. **********.

Min-bettors/ie: ****ing LIMIT players at NL tables. I swear to God all this guy did was MIN bet. This one hand there is a straddle to $5 at the 1/2. 4 people limp. He limps in the CO, blinds fill, 7 people to the flop. The flop was Kxx or something. Checked to him and he bets $5. Everyone folds, he shows AA. WTF?! I ask him why he didn't raise a dollar, he said "there is already so much in the pot, no need to raise".

I swear to God, most pots he would bet $2 on the flop/turn when the pot was like $35. Both times against me when I had the nuts and was forced to scare off my customers to the left of me. An $8 raise scares them more than a $12 c-bet.

Short-stackers that flat call more than half of their stack to a 3bet preflop and keep the $11. Usually they either fold on the flop or ship it anyways with 44 on a AK5 board.

People that announce what they think their opponent has, flop is 655 or something and they have to fold to the raiser's c-bet. Then they point to his cards and say "Pocket Jacks!", why did you fold TT? No you didn't, so STFU. JJ would not even make sense with the action to that point.

It's alright. Quite formal compared to what Plaza used to be. The action is a bit slow and lots of short-stackers.
