Pretty sure it is a raise. The BB is a forced bet. Thus you raise, and if someone else raises you it is a 3-bet.

Hes probably talking about if someone opens to $15 on the flop/turn/river and the dealer announces it as a raise

You check if there is no bet. You call if there is a bet. You raise, if a bet has already been made. If you "call" preflop, what are you calling, if there is no bet? It is called a blind bet for a reason!!!

People who say. " I know I got you beat, then fold"

One of my pet hates.

It's the same as "I know you're bluffing...I just can't call...".

Thanks for the hollywood speech. I'm not impressed that you like loudly announcing reads but don't have the balls to raise.

"I won't be able to sleep tonight if I fold this hand" - just before calling off the rest of their stack on a gutshot.

"Sometimes you just know its coming, eh ?" - some other donk sat at the table when above donk hits his gutshot.

When you see a dealer for the second time that night at your table. First time he was there you where up a good amount, next time he is there you are down after a couple of beats and he says "What happened to your chips?"

Also from same night. It happened between the time frame of last post.
Hand is between me on the button and a drunk guy in mid position.
Multiple limps get to me on the button I raise with KK, fold, fold, fold then the drunk guy decides to reraise me.
I push and drunk guy says to the dealer(they are both of the same nationality)"We ______'s arent afraid of anything, I call". Dealer laughs and then the drunk guy shows jacks. When he sees my kings he says he is not impressed, dealer again laughs. Drunk guy hits his jack and scoops the pot. He again declares "I told you we ______'s arent afraid!" Dealer laughs again. Yeah, really funny dealer.

I love it when people say right before the showdown, "I know you have the flush" but call anyways with a crappy hand it saves their ass and makes them look good if they call it and they win the pot if they don't.

I was playing at the hardrock in tampa, and this kid was at my table wearing designer glasses, some bedazzled hoodie and an affliction shirt, with a gold bracelet and diamond earrings.. he had these 2 scrub looking kids sitting behind him hero worshipping him as he pretended he was some kind of pro. He kept telling the table he was sponsored by some website, but he cant talk about. And he would openly berate all the players for their plays even when he wasnt in the hand. And he would constantly turn around to his friends and be like "i cant believe these donkeys, lol blah blah" and his friends would laugh and keep worshipping him. This guy proceeded to lose about 800$ and it turns out his 2 scrub friends staked him so it had a funny end result. But i just wanted to walk over and throw him the worst beating of his life.

So I played a tourney last night and I had this young asian dude to my left all night. He kept getting pissed when we had a 3 way and one was all in, because the other guy would bet. He would fold and say, "I hope you have him betting like that" He was very active and talked a hellava lot. I knew I was just waiting.

Fast forward to final table. I get AQs and he calls my raise, bb moves all in for 1/15th more than my bet, we both call (of course). Flop comes AAx, I check, he proceeds to bet about 1/3rd of what I have left, so of course I c/r all in. He gives me this dumbfounded look and I say, "you wanted to check it down, should have checked it down" He proceeds to call and shows AJ. I take the monster pot from him there. I told him earlier that I would double through him, of course raking in that pot I say, "I'm a prophet"

Same tourney we get to 4 handed, UTG goes all in, I call (2nd in chips, chip leader is raised almost every pot of FT as he had more chips than table when it started) and sb goes all in with his short stack. BB folds showing A7 soooooted (a monster compared to what he has been showing) I even mention, "I was hoping you would call and we could check down. We proceed to run flop and UTG takes pot with his QQ, but an A flopped and big stack would have taken down, making us hu.

Big stack plays like a moron the whole way getting lucky, and the one hand he should stick some money in, he folds and costs me $600 in EV.

Another guy goes bust on a Js xs 3x board. He holds 8's while his villain holds A3s. After the hand he is like, "how do you call that?" and like the whole table is like, (yes even the donks but they truly don't understand why) "because he had a pair and nut flush draw". How about he got 2 to 1 on his money to make the call and the fact it was pretty much a race. He later found out who busted said villain out of tourney and proceeded to buy a beer while telling the table that he wanted to punch the guy!!!
