Sorry, you should have kept it going.
Btw just on the .0000005% chance this is not a level, how do you feel that I, an online trained aggressive spew monkey who is 19 years old and has only been playig poker for around two years, have made over $60k this year playing primarily [B]live[B] (your supposed stomping grounds), and am now a 5/10 nl live reg?

you shouldnt be so quick to judge. its obvious his views on poker are different. just because he isnt crushing the 100/200 in iveys room doesnt mean he isnt a good player. life is life anything couldve happened. he has a wife kids and family so there is plenty of reasons he just stuck with 200nl. and 20k in 10 months is solid, he's up 100 buyins which is really great. i predict 150 buyins by years end. gl op!

The lack of content in your op is the real problem here.
If you arnt leveling you are more than welcome to deposit large sums online and play me when poker is available in the US again.

Hil-effin-larious! Definite level or legend in his own mind- but I'll play along...
OP Strategy card (Please copy and laminate):
Pocket QQ - STRIKE!
Observe player "X", if body language shows weakness - STRIKE!
Become weird, then - STRIKE!
Be patient, then - STRIKE!
If table is onto you, switch gears then - STRIKE!
If player is under 30 - STRIKE!
Cocktail waitress waiting for tip - STRIKE!
Dealer has goatee - STRIKE!
Floor is called with 3 security personnel - STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!

Frst of all this is obv. a level.
Second, he came here talking about how durrrr is a massive fish because you can easily trap him and now we find out that he is just a mediocre winner at 1/2 nl live? Hmm... I doth think he protests too much
Third, if this is not a level then it is just sad. He is supporting a wife and kids playing 200nl live and winning at a rate small enough he would be better off flipping burgers and his family wouldn't have to endure the variance of poker.

I'm pretty sure that people have very different definitions of what constitutes a "5/10 nl live reg" and what bankroll you should have to sustain that status. Me, I'm a cautious general, and wouldn't wanna spoil what I've accomplished when it comes to poker. With that said, I now feel an itch, an itch to prove myself on a global scale (not just being told by my local competition) that I have an uncanny ability to put people on holdings, stick to my reads and leave EVERY table as a winner. That's why I'm gonna move out of my comfort zone to strike at the very core of what you call "the online aggressive spewmonkeys". I'm gonna deposit big - and I'm gonna win even bigger.
That's a promise guys.
As for how I feel about your success? At my age I'm way past feeling any ill will towards (really ) young people succeeding at their endeavors so I just feel happy for you.
I'd also like to add that I was hoping for a much more constructive debate on these forums but have now been told that the sub-forum i chose for my premier thread wasn't too clever

The issue is that there is not much to debate in your post. The only strategy point you made really is that you can play premium holdings passively against aggressive opponents to trap, which is hardly a new idea by any means. But you can't play poker just by doing that one thing over and over and hoping to succeed. Obviously patience is important but there is more to patience than waiting for a premium holding to trap with. This abc approach may be enough for you to succeed at the small stakes but once you are playing even marginally competent opponents, you're going to have to find ways to pick up small pots when opportunities present themselves.
Also, aggression may fail at 1/2 nl but that's only because most pots at most of these games are multiway to the flop because opponents play exploitably loose and passive preflop. Therefore, the chances of c-bets and bluffs succeeding diminishes in comparison to the bigger games. In these sorts of games, it may very well be correct to wait for premium holdings (though playing them passively is almost always a mistake).

Re: Things that amaze me about the so-called "online hot-shots".
1. OP's wife gives him a big head.
2. OP comes to talk about his low to mid stakes skillz on a forum full of high-stakes pros.
3. OP realizes he is in way over his head so OP pretends to be leveling - to save face.
Accurate description of thread?

If BBV doesn't have high stakes pros, then I don't know what section would. Pros love to brrraaagggg. No?
Unfortunately however, for every pro -brag- there are 10 noob -beats-, heh.
