When reading this to myself I did the same thing and had to read it again thinking I had misread the board

Re: Surefire signs that internet poker is taking over your life
A few years back I had an interview at Deloitte w 2 partners, 1 of them definitely was interested in me cuz I had a linguistics major applying for a tax job. When the interview was basically over I say "I can calculate odds"...he's like "wht?" -I play poker...He was so happy that he offered me the job and stopped by table every day to brag..))

When you are watching the bit in Hitman where the girl comes onto 47, but he stuns her and then think to yourself "he's a solid TAG. gg"

You start seeing prices for items in terms of buyins.

Everytime there is some highstakes action with a lot of railbirds watching, someone will eventually start spamming "RIP Doyle Brunson".

Re: Surefire signs that internet poker is taking over your life
This year was my first time at the WSOP, and I soon got used to all the bad beat stories and general poker talk among 99% of the people I encountered at the Rio, but the encounter I am about to tell you about is classic poker nerd fail. Anyway, I get involved in the last hand before break and find myself in line behind 30 people or so waiting to use the restroom. Seeing how the line isn't moving very fast, I decide to strike up a conversation with a rather large, younger player who was in front of me. I say something like, "man, this line is crazy," or whatever, and he replies, "yeah, it's pretty standard." Not thinking anything of it, I go, "how's your table treating you?" His reply: "it's pretty standard." Now I start facepalm.jpeg-ing in my mind, and want to see if this clown is really going to say it again. So I thought of the first thing I could think of, I don't remember what it was, maybe something about the weather, and he goes "yeah, it's pretty standard." I'm pretty sure poker had a solid grip on that dude's life...

lol at you calling him a nerd. also dont give urself to much credit, ur probably not that interesting with your small talk boring questions. he just didnt want to talk to you, thats why he was giving you one line answers without trying to keep the conversation going.

I simply don't remember what it was I said to him so I filled in the blanks to make the story easier to read. Also, try holding the shift key down as you type the first letter of a new sentence next time.
