SLOWROLL AFTER NITROLL AFTER SLOWROLL... [Warning: Strat inside]
Just a frustrated venting post here. Been running so bad that it had come to a point where I would have to be putting together a buy-in from the spare change in my room in order to be playing the regular stakes (2/5 NL).
So this maniac who's raised just about every other hand preflop and c-betted every time before giving it up on the turn, makes it $15 to go. A few other people call and I call on the BTN with A3. Both blinds call.
Flop ($90): 542
The original raiser bets $50. Everyone else folds.
Now I know here that if he has any high club, he's not folding to any raise. So I decide to take a safe card and promptly let go of my hand if another hits. I call. The blinds fold.
Turn ($190): A
Kind of an action killer card. Not only do I lose action from any overpair but there is an apparent 4-straight on the board.
To my surprise, Villain fires $200. I only lose to a flush here. What are the odds that he has just that? I mean he did bet out the flop into 5 people, why not slow-play a bit? Either way I have pretty much the 2nd nuts here. It's either flush or way behind for him.
I go all in for $500 and change total. That's about $300 more for him to call and he goes into the tank. I'm like **** I should have raised him on the flop now he won't pay me.
But then I did not expect him to believe me for a straight or a flush and to call of the last $300 with any Ace or high spade. He calls.. with a disappointed crying-call look on his face and his head tilted about 15 degrees downward. I announce "Straight!".
As soon as the word hit his ears, he rapidly and aggressively reached to flip over his card. Between that moment and before the cards were even turned I could relive a holocaust in my heads; *********** MOTHER****ING FML ANOTHER ****ING SET-UP/SLOWROLL FOR A 3 BI POT ON MY LAST BUY-IN BEFORE THE ****ING PAYDAY......

- What are you waiting for?
- I wasn't sure
- I mean what are you slow-rolling for?
And of course the nit to my left agreed that it was a "tough call" and went on to berate me for accusing a slow-roll and how it was clearly not a slow-roll. Didn't want to burn any more energy. Back to the rail. Whale status lost
