Didn't tell her it's my birthday. Don't have to work tomorrow, spending the day with my father just him and me. I'm taking him out sailing, I'll make dinner onboard (salmon). He's a stage 4 cancer patient and only have a few months left at most, I want to make the most of the few days we have left together. Sunday is family gathering at my place, next weekend birthday party with friends.

Yes indeed, hope you never have to go through something like this, unfortunately most of us will at some point. We have been offered a stay home nurse to take care/help him, but we declined. A family should take care of their own. My mother is of cource there at all times, but she can't handle it on her own. My sister and me are there to take care/spend time with him, almost every hour we can spare of the day. It's not easy to say the least, and has affected me in ways I have never experienced before.
