Hi Forum! Just wanted a sense of reality as mine is most likely skewed by now...after a solid 6 months of positive results at live 2/5 NL (average $40/hour over about 175 hours), the last 2 weeks have been nightmarish. I have paid off quads a total of 5 times (with flopped boats against flopped quads on 3 of those disasters). The last 3 sets (coincidentally, all JJJ) have been busted as well. Had to turn to the thread for guidance/support after this weekend. Held 2-2. Flop is 9-9-2. A player had flopped quad 9's literally 3 hands before. All in by the river...this time player one seat over was holding 9-9 for the flopped quads. Wanted to know if this is a legit bad run and what you guys do to overcome.

stay away from the 9-9-2 flop. It's a common knowledge that it is cursed.

Also, on the 9-9-2 flop, you always lose 100% of the time you don't win (there is no possible split pots)...thought this was also common knowledge.
