It's an attempt at the lulz, but it's getting kind of old and just creating unnecessary clutter in the thread, just stop it guis, it was funny 10 pages ago, no its just annoying.

ok this is what you shouldve done... i know i know, it's not about going straight up.. STLL...

take your friend, go to the top of a tall building, get out, throw the ball off of the building, you have now won the bet.. you threw the ball, in the air, 100 yards +.

Ya, you should've pulled a Titanic Thompson on him and threw it off of a building, if the building was 90 feet tall, you olny have ot throw ti 10 feet in teh air... er wait...

V(i) = 82 mph (said u could throw that fast)
theta = 45* (for ball to travel furthest distance w/ negl. friction)
y = 5 ft (initial displacement for height thrown from)

...so change V(i) to ft/s which is 120.27 ft/s .

Now initial y-direction vel. is (120.27)*sin(45) = 85.04 ft/s

X(t) = V(i)*t + (1/2)*a*t^2

Solving for t, you get t = 5.34 s

Now solving for x-direction using t = 5.34 and theta...

X(t) = Vx * t = (120.27sin(45)) ft/s * 5.34 s = 454.13 ft

So basically it is possible when thrown 82 mph and friction is neglected. Unfortunately, that still doesn't say anything about the actual outcome... My guess would be a big fat no thou, and I've watched a decent amount of baseball.
Lol dude WTF are you talking about????. You’ve neglected to take into account the permeating non-sequential factors of {x}*^ 60% mass * velocity

You haven’t even accounted yet for the G-factor of y*z {a*b}+ 50% / (40)* {5*60} = 50^5 - r~ 70

And lol at your assumption that x = {80%*90%/50^}* 2×22 + 1, 72 = 2×52 - 1, 172 = 2×122 + 1

That withstanding the only perceivable outcome that does not conform with the mitigations of {x=7^} is that it seriously detrimentriates against the oblivical intangible force of disconbobulese. Therefore x=r^6%

QED

Wow, never seen so many idiots in a single thread get leveled so easily.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT HOW HIGH SOMEONE CAN THROW AN OBJECT. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT HOW FAR SOMEONE CAN THROW A BALL ON A FLAT SURFACE, NOT COUNTING THE DISTANCE AFTER THE BOUNCE.

100% doable.. id get in inthe action that you could
300 feet / 100 yards = 1 foot

ya, that would be doable... book it and ship it

There's so much leveling here, I don't even know where the **** I am? Can I be on level 2?

Also, I would say that there's about 0% you can throw a ball 100 yards up in the air. That's pretty high!

100 yards far would be doable, imo

Just read the whole thread. Some thoughts:

1) I really don't think it's possible to throw a ball that high

no chance you can throw a ball 300 yards straight up this is redicouluos

if you want to get to 100 yards straight up in the air the ball needs to leave your hand straight up with a speed of 94.6 miles per hour.

not a chance in hell, unless you're throwing it on asphalt and you get to count the roll or something

or have you thought about possibly just throwing it straight up?

Phil Wellman attempts to break the record for throwing a baseball base at 1:03 and fails. He is in the minor leagues and does not even come close so i doubt that OP can do this.
