Ok, well, I'm finally done with two midterms that I've been studying nonstop for in the past week and since Dartmouth's weather is really looking good, I want to cut out poker even more from my life. Baby steps imo.

First off, I'd like to mention that staking Doug (WCGRider) has been one of, if not THE, most rewarding poker experiences of my life. When he first PM'ed me, I was kind of skeptical but the fact that he was a student dropout that just started grinding for a living won me over. As most of you are aware, it paid dividends. We started off terribly--Doug actually thought I had ditched him after he lost 3k because I wasn't replying on AIM (really, I was just afk for the day). It got worse and eventually it became semi-unbearable for Doug, who dropped out of the stake for a few days before coming back to absolutely demolish Full Tilt. I'd just like to mention that regardless of the results, I had no regrets in doing the stake. When we were 5k in the hole, I didn't lose any sleep over the fact that my roll could be demolished by the next day. Ironically, it was Doug who was more worried about losing my roll, but I guess that's what honest, stand-up guys do. As such, all good things must come to an end. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I am confident that Doug will eventually meet our predetermined goal for profits and play for 100% of himself in the near future. To him, I wish the best of luck in that endeavor because he absolutely deserves all of it for all the hard work he has poured into the game. Because of him, we can move on to....

...the part most of you actually care about: the staking. First of all, you have to have references; the more, the better. I want to stake an honest, stand up guy whom I don't have to ever EVER worry about screwing me over during periods when school consumes my life.

Second of all, I want proof of hand histories and proof that you are indeed a winning player at a certain level. I don't want to stake degens who are going to take my money to 25/50 and blow it in a day. If I stake you for a limit, you stick with that limit.

Third of all, I would prefer you play on Cake poker for the soft competition. Thus, if you are super dependent on a HUD, Cake might not be the place for you.

Lastly, I am BACKING you (i.e. compensating you for losses). I am NOT going to open ship you 10k and say give me half of profits. Don't worry about me upholding my end of the bargain; I have vouches.

Hey I would be down for getting staked on some $50+ tourneys on FTP as well. I'm a successful .5/1 HU player that would like to spend some time playing MTT's but only with a backer. 70/30 is very reasonable.

Ok here is what I am looking for to be precise:

I want to stake 1/2 - 2/4 grinders on Cake. If WCGRider can vouch for you, and you are a solid player, then we can begin ASAP.

Otherwise, it's just too hard to sort through all the data and separate all of you as applicants. Everybody has sent me the virtually the same pm ("Hi i'm a winning player at XXXX looking for a stake....XXXX can vouch for me, etc.) and I have no basis for any information.

IF you are a winning player at .5/1 or 1/2 and would like to be staked on Cake poker at 1/2 - 2/4 and can have WCGRider vouch for you, you are just about guaranteed a stake.

I'm not known around here, but I can vouch for Marshall's trustworthyness. I have lent him several thousand before, and he has paid it back. Since i have lent him money before, I've asked around and everyone who seems to know him will say that he's trustworthy. I have a friend who lives near Marshall, and even though he hates Marshall, that friend also agrees that Marshall will not scam.

I can vouch that Marshall is a good player and is trustworthy. Hes always been willing to helping me out with xfers and I have no problem sending him money at first. He had a sick win rate for a while and made a huge withdrawl and i think the lack of money online kinda affected his play. Once hes properly rolled for a staker i think he can start winning at a decent clip again

I understand this is for backing purposes, but let me take a minute of your time to describe my situation. I am a solid Stud Hi Micro and Low stakes grinder .25/.50 - 1/2. I've been studying the game with a lot of my time. I have taken my only $50 Deposit and turned it into plenty of profit. Because I am a college student and have had to withdraw my bankroll twice I have been left with little to work with, and am unable to grind as I have a Mastercard and sites don't take Mastercard anymore. I also grind SnGs very successfully at the $6.50 level.
I would love to be staked to grind either the .25/.50 Limit stakes or .50/1. As far as SnGs go I would also grind out the $6.50s or as high as the $11 Turbos on Full Tilt.

Here's a few graphs of my progress. This graph is of my Stud Hi Grind to 1/2 where I had to withdraw my money and it also shows my SnG Graph from mostly grinding $2 6 mans through $6 and $11. I also dabbed as high as $24 and $30s.



As far as references go, I'm sure if you visit the Stud board anyone there would work including Andy B one of the moderators. I also talk to WCGRider on AIM, not sure if he would be a reference, but he does know me.
