He was even so fat and jolly enough to buy everyone around him (including me), cherry cokes.

So this happened to me at Hawaiian Gardens Casino a few years ago.

So I'm about 25 years old at the time but since I'm asian I look a lot younger than I actually am. I've been playing at the 300nl table for about 2 hours when I look up and see a security guard talking to another security guard and they head towards me. When they get to my table, they ask me for my ID and said that the security room called down to check my ID since I look young. I think nothing of it since I do look young so I give them my drivers license and keep on playing. The security guard says he'll be back and goes away. After 5 minutes he comes back and tells me to get up because I need to cash out because my license is fake. Of course my license is 100% real so I'm pissed. The floorman comes over and tells me I need to get up. So I tell him fine, I'll get up but when this mess is all cleared up I wanted this exact seat again(because I was in a profitable situation at my table). So I'm escorted into this back room of the casino and I give my chips to the floorman. The security guard stays with me in the room and I tell him to check the card again. When the floorman comes back he gives me my money and tells me that I need to leave. I tell him to check the card again and he goes away for 5 minutes, comes back and tells me that the machine says the card is fake. I tell him I'll leave if I can see the machine run the card as fake. He tells me that he can't do that. At this point I'm frustrated and just want to leave so I ask for my card back and they refuse to give it to me. So after about 10 minutes of telling them I can't leave because it's illegal to drive without my license, the security guard says he'll call the cops. I tell them to please do so. I can press charges for theft that way. The security guard gets really mad and tells me that when he was my age, he made mistakes and that I just need to learn from them. I tell him that he's making a mistake right now and that he needs to learn that maybe he's wrong. Anyway, they don't call the police so I look around for the police phone number so I can call them myself. The security guard blows up and takes me by the arm and escorts me out into the parking lot while the whole casino is watching me being ushered out like I did something wrong. He walks me to my car and says, "You're going to get in the car and drive away now." I said I can't, I don't have my license. Eventually I tell him that I'll be back with the cops. I drive away, head home which is 10 minutes away, get my passport and come back. I tell them that if they don't give me my license, I'm going to the police. The security guard comes back with the floorman and gives me back my license, doesn't even say sorry. He offers me a free meal, but I've lost my appetite. I said that I want my exact same seat again. Of course, my seat is already filled up when we get there, so I start telling the entire table how the casino took my REAL ID and lied to me. The floorman looks really embarrassed and he tells me he can't give me my seat back because someone was already there but I'd be first up on the list for the table. I tell him that he just lost my business as a customer(I am a regular there).

Yeah I know I rambled on. This was about 3 years ago and it still irks me thinking about it.

a local gamerunner runs a $220 tournament and winners get a $1500 WSOP seat + $500 cash. The gamerunner was also throwing in a free $1500 seat. Im not old enough to go to vegas but I thought I would play for the cash anyways. The tournament was pretty well structured and there was a pretty good turnout for this (43 people). When the tournament starts im talking to one of the dealers and I inform him that i just want the cash if I win. He tells me that the gamerunner said if people just want the cash then they would only get $1500 and not the $500 travel cash. I was suprisingly fine with that as long as the $500 went towards another pay out spot. When I asked about that no one seemed to know the answer. Anyways I steamroll that tournament and we are now down to the final table

My cash is locked up I have 125k in chips av 35k
now since were at the final table I asked the dealer if we could stop the clock and discuss whats going on w/ the extra $500

the gamerunner is in another room and people were trying to get him and he wont come out, everyone is starting to worry now.

eventually he comes out and tells us that the prize pool is only 4300 plus 1 free seat, 4 people would be getting $1500 cash no seat and no travel expenses, 300 for 5th

so it turns out gamerunner ran a tournament and everyone who plays at his game was able to get into the tournament for free, anybody else would have to pay $200. funny how half the people who were freerolling didnt mention any of this and all the people who paid were pissed

Player to my left and myself agree to do a flip for stacks. Ie: all in blind. House cannot enforce that because it was at a casino. We were about to be SB and BB respectively. Everyone at the table agrees to fold blind and we agree to shove blind. It was $700 each.

Everyone does fold to the BTN, who says "fold", looks at his cards, shows them to his right neighbor and mucks.

I go all in on my SB.

BB tanks. I'm like dude we agreed to go all in blind what are you waiting for? BB now looks at his cards, and tanks some more. The whole table is disgusted. BB eventually calls and takes my stack. BTN claims to have folded AK and his neighbor confirms it. Lesson learned.

Why would you want to do a flip at a full ring table? Just take it to the next table, flip and come back.
