I mean it sounds like your searching for some deeper meaning a little bit, I think most of us grinders feel that at times, working at McD's is not the way to find it.

why not just offer to work the 55 hours at the normal wage?
surely your biggest risk is your manager screwing you by not giving you enough hours? maybe ask for a written document stating that he will give you 55 hours a week for 1 year provided you are doing your job well?

bc im pretty sure there are federal laws stating he must get paid OT for hours over 40 since he is not salaried (although maybe im wrong on this)

this is a pretty ***** hilarious statement considering the circumstances, particularly the bolded parts.

Re: Official McDonalds PropBet Thread for AlReturnslol
i'm interested for how much $ other online poker players would do this exact bet for. it's pretty relevant how much you make from poker currently.
i make ~200k/year and there is no chance i'd do this for 1 mill

once the novelty has worn off i.e. 4 hours in on day three, you can start discussing buyouts. dumbest bet ever

No chance this will happen as the scheduling manager has to report to the store manager who reports to the area manager. So unless you bribe all 3 of them somehow, i dont think it will happen.
A guy earlier said you should try to work in the back because you get to work at your own pace but from working at Mcds for like 3 years in early life, I defintly would recommend working in the front line of the store. You at least get to communicate with new people everyday and get to enjoy hearing the ridiculous complaints people have, which will go well in future TR's. It sucks doing the grill constantly when it is busy and you will be getting burnt often from cleaning/scraping it. You won't be working at your own pace at all ever lol your working at the stores pace.
Also depending on which one you work at, you might actually work with some random high school girls/single mom types. The one I worked at was all white high school kids and somehow the girls were cute, although I think this is rare.
And let me know which Mcdonalds this will be going down at if its in Vegas and I will be sure to check up on you weekly lol! Good luck bro

This has nothing to do with reading comprehension, I understood everything you said and inferred that from your post.
If you are actually well off and not taking this bet to gain money, but you want the opportunity to do this bet, for whatever reason including, but not limited to; you love the smell of french fries, you enjoy working around hot oil, you want to pick up chicks who go to McDonalds, you want to set up some elaborate scam to rob McDonalds, etc. Than I apologize for falsely inferring that you are busto and that is why you wish you had rich friends who would offer this bet to you.

im poker busto, but not real life busto, although i think this is irrelevant. you obviously didnt and still dont understand what i meant in my post.. all i meant is that my rich friends are not stupid and wont make bets like this.
like i said i would have little to no chance of completing this bet despite the monetary gain, so your inference there was way off. and since i wouldnt have much of a shot at doing this bet, i dont wish it was offered to me. so your inference there was off again.
seriously learn to read posts if you are going to say ppl are making bad points. or at least learn to understand them.
p.s. just for the record 110k is a large amount of money to me, and even if i thought i was capable of completing this bet, there is no way i would sell off a year of my life for 110k working 8 hours a day every day for 365 days. maybe if i was in 110k debt or something... but al why do this? is a year of your life going to be worth 110k when youre on your deathbed?? there are so many more constructive (and some more lucrative) ways to push yourself.
