Do you think your life would be worse / better / the same if u had completely avoided the -ev games? Obviously you'd have more money but do u consider the lessons learned worth the losses you suffered? If you hadn't beaten this impulse would it have ended you? I read the whole thing at the bar while slowly getting hammered and as a pro player that grew up with english teachers as parents, the way you relate poker and life experience through professional writing style is both fresh and highly addictive. No wonder your blog is so successful. Eagerly awaiting the rest of this story

Don't think that rash was from the extinguisher stuff fwiw .

Spoiler:
Really enjoying the story by the way and can't wait for the next instalment .

Yeah exactly, it wouldn't matter much for the story, its still captivating. But it would be bad future publicity for the author if the autobiography proved to be false.

So I'm in no doubts so far!

Yeah don't get me wrong I was in no way implying I had any reason to believe this story was not based on the truth. I was just merely pointing out the stupidity of the post I quoted. It would certainly be difficult for >99.9% of the worlds population to "make up" a story like this. But that is simply a product of the fact that <0.1% of the population are fiction novel writers. It certainly would be possible to do so, OP just clearly has no reason to do so .

Lesbian story is sick. ****ed up situations like that always seem worth it to me, as even though they're so messed up in the moment it always provides such a good memory and (maybe more importantly!) an awesome story to tell later on. Also I guess being chased by a gay guy around an apartment that smells like **** while lesbians are making out on the couch is much more interesting and entertaining than your standard night even if it is a little scary

Again, thanks for writing this. Very keen to read the rest.

Not sure if it was in this thread or not but someone said that reading this thread is like finding a new show online that's 7 episodes in and watching them all in one sitting then having to wait for new episodes once a week. This is exactly how I feel, can't wait for your next post. Great read!

Lol who the heck makes up stories in which they are seduced by lesbians only to have a gay drug addict attempt to rape them?

Yet you still want to go broke, because being broke means being free. Being broke means that none of the negative emotions associated with poker can touch you, because you can't play. You are free to do whatever you want, you no longer have to experience the adrenaline rushes, your heart beating faster and faster, the disappointment when you catch an unfortunate river. You are free from checking your bankroll 10 times every session, you're free from the stress. You're free, because you're off the bandwagon. The only way to not be able to play poker is to be broke.
''Losing all hope was freedom'' & ''You're not free untill you've lost everything'' - Fight Club

This is so true and I feel exactly like this. I love being broke, but always end up depositing when I have some money.
