I was responding to another thread and had to look up some old reviews. I then decided to check out their homepage to see what's new and I run across a 5X27" setup with the monitor enclosure off to make it more lightweight.

What Poker issues are there when running monitors in Portrait?

I like to have the default table size and not a tiny table screen. It looks like I can run 3X3 top, middle, bottom X 5.

Is that a safe assumption? 15 default size tables?

There are several brands of Korean monitors that use the A grade IPS panels that give 2560x1440 resolution, and cost with shipping is about $330 on eBay.

Yamakasi catleap
Achieva shimian
Crossover 27q

These are said to be the same display panels used in apples cinema displays, but apple rejects some because of dead pixels, backlight bleeding, etc. that's what makes these panels grade A instead of A+.

From the research I've done most people receive them with no noticeable issues. If there are dead pixels it's usually only 1 or 2, and on a display this size with this resolution you will most likely not notice the pixel unless looking for it.

Also note that there is one seller on eBay that guarentees less than 4 dead pixels, and others are less than 6. Make sure to read the terms of each seller because their definition of a perfect monitor vary by seller.

Had the same problem with Dell U2711 and MBP miniDP>DP. Had to do a hard reset of the monitor, so at a guess a factory reset of the monitor might fix it.

after reading a bit of the thread, i feel like my dual 30 is far from baller setup

I wonder if I can add two 20' vertical on the side of two 30s or just simply get two more 30 and make it 2*2 setup.
