I'm considering getting a 30" to put in the middle of the two monitors I currently have, but like yours, the pixel pitch on mine are 0.282mm. 30" monitors have a pixel pitch of 0.2505mm, which means the side monitors have ~13% larger pixels. Has this been annoying to you at all? I'd really like to hear someone's opinion on this before I decide.

Anyone else who has a similar setup is free to answer this as well.

I don't know how you figure out piexel pitch, but I'm using a 28" and 30" with differn't resolutions, everything looks huge on 28" and you just adapt, not really annoy imo.

I'm keen to upgrade to a a 3 monitor setup with 30" in middle tho, so interested to here more on this myself.

suggestions, opinions?
My current set up is (2) 32" LCD -- I am moving away from those and getting the 30" Dell w/ (2) 20" portrait ...

The TV's were fine, my biggest complaint is that it does dispense a lot if heat.. So if your grinding a lot of hours, gets pretty hot...

The work fine, I'd 24 table - stack and move out of stack to other TV when I needed to play that table...

Re: Most Baller set up

I purchased last week (trying to replicate coltforty5's set up) will post pictures once installed...

(2) 20" DELL 2007FP (ebay: used @ $155 /free shipping)
(1) 30" DELL3008 WFD (ebay: used 1 month @ $1,025 free shipping)

Will be running on a Gateway DX4831-1e w/ Windows 7 64-bit.

Only dilemma I can't figure out in my research is do I need (2) independant video cards to run 3 monitors or can I use the on board video card + 1 independant video card?

Any ideas or thoughts would be really appreciated...

if u can enable your MB onboard graphics as the primary in bios then you can use that for 1 monitor w the graphx card as 2ndary for the other 2. most MBs cannot do this however but its worth a shot i guess. the vast majority of graphic cards will only let run 2 monitors (some high end ones let u run 3 i think) i would recommend finding a dinky little $30~50 card that will run on the same drivers as your main card and running a 20" offa that.

Thanks for posting, was in the process of buying a 2007FP to go next to my HP30's and didn't even think of going the ebay refurbished route! Going to try and see if I can get one cheaper if any auctions are ending late night/early morning...

As the poster above me said, you will need a 2nd video card in most cases in order to run on more than 2 monitors. You will want to make sure that you get the same type of video card as you currently have to make things easier and also that your power supply as well as motherboard are capable of dealing with a 3rd monitors. I just called up my computer company and one of the techs reviewed the specs of my unit to confirm that there wouldn't be a problem.

mh yea the philips thing has like 16mio colors and you can regulate intensity

someone else already said, having a real dark blue in the background is not the best for the eyes while grinding
