you not "blowing" the money on anything. It truly is an investment. Once you go 30, every thing else just seems so tiny. It is addicting though. I have one, but now I want another!

the apple is brushed aluminium and the samsung silver paint.. so it doesnt match perfectly but i dont know anything else in silver.
TY

I think i go with imac 27" and a 24" apple cinema display on the side.

I really want the two portrait mode monitors though, but it seems its only possible with one extra monitor for imac.

If i dont want to put another $1k on the 24" maybe there is some other monitor which works on imac, has the same height in portrait mode as the 27" and that looks good, i.e. silver/white/brushed aluminium?

Also im buying a new stereo.
Is JVC EX-A3 any good?
Or is there a better one which looks good: wooden or white or brushed Ag/Au speakers or something and the rest in e.g. silver. (at least not all black)

Take Dell U2711, it's black but looks good for imac. Same resolution, same matrix, price is around 1k$.

Thank you, but its too black for me. And about the height: I meant that the extra monitor should have about the same height in portrait mode as the 27" cinema display has in its normal horizontal mode.

Nah I'm not too worried, I keep the partying in my room to a minimum (mostly go to off campus stuff/other dorms) besides friends who I trust just cause I don't wanna risk my computer along with my TV and any of my expensive stuff to get ruined.

I got a pm requesting more sea view pics... Here's one of my favourites If anyone wants to see more, I've created an album to avoid clogging the thread with too much Norwegian fjord view
