And since everyone else is doing it, here's some shots of the place along with view etc. Actually mostly X posted from this thread but might as well.
Wow I love your apartment... Awesome kitchen and most of all the headroom really makes the place stand out. I still think my view is a winner but your apartment wins this thread imo...

Contemplating my next move, maybe I should get some semi-nude gf to pose in my next pic (If anyone beats me to it, thats ok too )

Edit: But yeah ur desk is fugly... Surprising, giving how tastefully equipped the rest of the apt is...

Surprised people don't like the desk. I'm guessing the angle I took the pictures at or the flash from the camera is distorting the actual look because I really like it.

Re: Most Baller set up

well yea, i guess it can be good looking when you dont have that lightning and angle, i mean the second pic it makes it look like IKEA furniture considering that it's not completely solid between the leg and the board itself, it looks cheap when it got space like that due to crappy balance

I loved everything about your place except the desk. To me it doesn't look like it goes with the rest of your place and looks kind of cheap.

Re: Most Baller set up

The desk was actually pretty damn expensive. They originally quoted me a much lower price but I guess the finnish I chose was more expensive. The sample they showed me looked really great. It's a red bamboo look with some dark charcoal color mixed in.

In hindsight I wish I had just gone with something more sophisticated but the entire place is brown and grey and I wanted so mix in some color somewhere and thought that the charcoal red would look really good. I'm pretty sure that when I finally get some stuff up on the walls to accent the room it will look much better and be great fit for the place.

Re: Most Baller set up

Yeah it's metropolis.

It was basically a massive flip between this place, something on the ~20th floor at Azura and then some stuff on Hamilton st. The 5th floor unit in the Crandall specifically.

I ruled Azura out because Crandall and this place were so much cooler and then chose this place over Crandall becasue of the view and the fact that even though I know nothing about real estate, I'm sure that I basically stole this place and it was massively undervalued. Several places in my building have sold recently for 20+k more than mine. Their views have been worse, roughly the same size, and the interrior's aren't even close. The prev owner was the one who did the majority of the work on the place and he put roughly 90k of work into it.

Lol wp.

Yeah, so I saw this thing listed online the day I started looking for a place to buy and instantly phoned the realtor to get a viewing set up. The lady at Remax conencted me to another realestate agent and I basically began working with her instead. i insisted on being shown this place asap and she was like sure I'll set it up for the day after tomorrow.

So we meet in yaletown then and she goes to show me this place and a couple others she picked out. Well, she didn't get the right place and took me to some other place a block away and I was pretty pissed. She promises to set it up for the weekend and then the next day when I look for the listing online I see that it's been sold and taken down. I was pretty pissed off.

Anyways, we go abotu looking at other places in the area for the next 10 days and then randomly I get an email from the website saying that this place was back on the market and for 50k cheaper, SCORE! So obv I arrange to see it that day and find out that basically the prev buyer lived out east and had bought it with a week or something to remove subjects but missed her deadline and passed on the place becasue she wasn't able to actually see it in time. The prev owner I guess was getting married and him and his fiance were both selling and buying a new place so were maybe desperate to sell quick and droped the price.

Anyways, I saw it and instantly made an offer subject to financing etc and then found out that that bitch woman from out east had made another offer but this time with 2 weeks to remove subjects etc but also with i *think* something like only a few days to remove them should another offer be made. So if she passed on the place THEEEEN I got it. So we basically sweet talked the other realtor and offered ~5k more for the place and waited a few days and then put the offer in on Holy Thursday ie. easter long weekend when people are with family and it's really hard to travel, so if she wanted the place she'd have to have financing secured on a long weekend and she'd have to buy it w/o seeing it and w/o having much knowledge of Vancouver so she passed and I picked it up.

just to prove that it was undervalued, the place was only listed for a few days before the first time it was conditionally sold, and then a couple days before it was conditionally sold again + with my offer, and then while I was removing subjects there were 2 other offers made on the place.
