So last month, I remember I was down like 1k in poker so I went to BJ betting $300-$1000 every hand until I dropped $20k in a few hours... I then promised myself never to play it again and started grinding poker and made it back...

Today again, I was down $1500 and repeated the same but this time, I lost $10k..

Feeling so yucky, it's inexplicable.. I don't know why I do it..

I know most will say to ban BJ but everytime I ban it somewhere, I run to another site to deposit/play BJ again...

I can't control my urge to chase losses after being a winning poker player for 5 long years..

I am afraid this might end up taking a toll on my life and health someday.. infact it already is... it just keeps getting worse.. I've been playing poker for 5 years now and built a good BR but this happens to me regularly nowadays with the games becoming more difficult and the reduced ease of money flowing in... it's killing me..

I'm shivering right now..What should I do? Would kill myself if I could..

p.s. right now, I promised myself to win back the $10k in next 10 days.. $1k a day should do it..

Just give it up man. I'm in the same boat as u. I crush 1-2 then as I'm walking out of casino I just have to play BJ and drop it all plus some. It's such a sick game. I'm trying to quit after last weeks debacle.

It happened to me ~6 times but much lower amount (~1000$) and two times out of those ~6 went well for me. Also ive probably ~20 less than 500$ casino tilt (some went well including one that went super-well, most went wrong).
Even though those losses are stupid, dumb, retarded, those amounts are amount I can afford to lose. So let's call it controlled tilt. However I stoped doing this for 18months and I've no urge to do it.
I've no secret or special tactics to stop, I just stoped when I was sick of it, sick of hating myself, of lying about it, sick of that awful feeling in your guts. Also I make less money than I used to so I can't just go around and be a retard.

Your case is quite different since you seem to have absolutly no control over yourself. I've no idea how you can go THAT far a losing that much money without backing down. How can you continue when you're down 5k ? I think I would have quit gambling/poker forever if that ever happened to me.
I know poker player never beleive that kind of thing, esp winning players but Its likely you have a gambling problem.

That kind of thinking is bad. dont promise yourself to win it back in a super quick amount of time. Just play normal and it will come back soon or later. Again, those kind of things are a sign of gambling probem

You need a break. The fact that you mention you're going to get back your 10k in the next 10 days should provide insight that you're still chasing losses. Take a moment and remember that poker over the long term is bb/hour investment and not a strike it rich quick event. I was in the same spot and losing my life roll to BJ I had to take almost a year break from BJ and learn discipline and self control and financial management from means other than poker. It was tough going to a 9-5 when I could make much more money quicker playing poker. But brcause i was losing it all in casino game, it didn't mean ****.
