Yeah, I had this discussion with several friends there. There are some players at Charles Town who definitely would have bet me off the hand. One guy (known there as "Russian Alex") would have very likely shoved all in pre-flop. He's been known to do this with any pp, just to get the blinds. And I've seen more than one player who would bet huge when flopping the world. With only an open ended straight draw and backdoor flush draw, I would fold to a huge bet.

Of course, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind that I missed a bad beat. It would have just been on to the next hand.

$1k tip? How idiotic are people. Use that money to help a starving child or a sick patient ffs. How hard can it be to pass cards and follow a game sitting in a safe comfortable environment? How much skill/education does that require?
