How do I find a fold in this spot? How do I find a fold in this spot?

Some Im holding AA UTG so obviously i think "this is a raise". I raise double the big blind to not scare anyone away but because im raising UTG people are still going to think I'm strong based on that alone.. So I feel like a double big blind bet in this spot is going to be EV+ in the long run.

The BB is the only caller the flop is 10 J Q. He open shoves and I call even and am shocked to see him holding AK. Why didnt he repop me pre flop holding that hand? Should I have just called UTG with the AA as to not scare ppl?

I put him on garbage as I knew he would be calling light just to see a cheap flop. Im so angry but there is just no way i can find a fold here? Can youse?

OP wtf do you beat on QJT that Villain would be so compelled to steal the 5 BB pot with that is not expecting a (UTG min raising) hand that could absolutely be crushing?? 22-99 bluff targetting AJ or better? Or two pairs+ looking to stack off against AA/KK/AQ/lower two pairs?

No strat in BBV. Theres actually plenty of ways to find a fold on one of the worst boards for AA. Really depends on how big his shove was relative to your stack. If he's piling 40BB + all in here, and you have more then 30BB. Its a clear fold.

why is he flat calling my 2 bb utg raise with TT+, AK? i could understand some bad K9s that hit or protecting AQ . am i a fool for thinking he can only make this play with the nuts but at the same time cant have the nuts in that spot? it's a paradox.

For the exact same stupid reason you decided to min-raise.
Except maybe in BB when all table limped and just to piss them off, there's never any good reason to make a min-raise.
It's like betting 1bb in a pot that makes 30bb+ yet, that's the kind of fish's non-sense move that will always make poker still profitable.

I think folding is pretty easy and makes way more money than raising or calling. That's why I don't understand people that can't seem to fold in the most easy spots ever, especially on the river.

Fold.. unless u know OP is doing this with absolute air, which seems to very rarely be the case here. Not sure why didn't want to play post flop with the nuts and extract more value but some people hit the nuts and just open shove cause they don't know how to play them otherwise. Normally shove here has at least 2pair +

Pretty standard shove on flop. Knew OP was a calling station.

Perfectly played.

I saw your join date and was skeptical. Then I saw some of your posts and decided that you're a sincere fellow who is looking for answers.

Obviously we can't put v on a hand on the flop. We're not Daniel Negreanu right? Psssh. You'll have to give v a range here.

I have him on AK, AKs, 98, 98s, K9, K9s and the other AA. A fairly wide range here. I'm going to call on the flop while still having a live backdoor full house draw and--if the flop's not a rainbow--backdoor nut flush outs. Fold the turn if none of these come in. Likewise fold river if you improve on the turn but not the river.

No. It depends on the stack sizes. I don't play online but I've watched YouTube videos where they dissect hand ranges to the tee. It's scary.

I've watch a video where one players hold TT on a T9JQQ and the way the hand plays out, they talk about how we are beat 100% of the time on the river but we could make a better hand fold by representing the straight flush, since we are blocking both straight flushes. That "better hand" included quad queens. That's right. Turning a FH into a bluff!

To answer to your question, I am almost never folding AA on that board in a cash game under 60 BB. I am not happy but I am putting Villain on a hand like KQ/KJ/two pairs and maybe a few sets. No straights. I am either ahead a little, or still have some outs to win against a better hand.

so much this. IDK why anyone else is talking strat.

OP you got cheated, report scam and post conversation with support here. There are plenty of other bbv'ers that have gone through this and gotten there money back so we can help.

Open shove pre. You will look weak to the other players and they won't think you have a pair. As played, easy fold on the flop, your opponent never has worse than one pair here.

^^ Not sure if trolling but second part seems legit. On QJT/JT9ish flops, an overpair is hardly good online. At best you're facing pair+ big draw. Live it's usually a fistpumpsnapcall.
