I'll try my best, I'll probably be on top of things. If not the hot dog eater, OP, and some of the main people sweating I'm sure will post updates daily as well.
UPDATE:
He started at April 1, 12:00am and it is now April 2, 1:30am. He currently has finished 18 hotdogs, so is a bit ahead of pace. I suspect he'll be eating again within an hour or 2.

I want crazy poker housemates so I can issue challenges like this with beer or pot. How about 600 cans of Natty Light in a month? 62 grams of weed in a month from a bong? The terrible yet awesome possibilities seem endless.

I agree, but probably not in the way you meant it.

I meant it psychologically. If he gets ahead early he will be thinking more positivity obv and that will make it 10x more easy for him to get through the last week or two. Whereas if you think of it in the opposite way, once he gets behind he will think he can't do it then he will give up. Even being even halfway through has some negative side effects imo

We were actually discussing me drinking 14 beers/day (standard 341mL bottles, 5%) for a month. I'm like 5'9" 175lbs. I'd love to try it but I'd be pretty much useless in terms of getting poker volume in so not gunna do something like that quite yet. Oh, also, I'd probably die.

Re: Hot dog prop bet - april 1st to 30th
they are full of nitrates which are carcinogenic
Q. How could hot dogs cause cancer?
A. Hot dogs contain nitrites which are used as preservatives, primarily to combat botulism. During the cooking process, nitrites combine with amines naturally present in meat to form carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds. It is also suspected that nitrites can combine with amines in the human stomach to form N-nitroso compounds. These compounds are known carcinogens and have been associated with cancer of the oral cavity, urinary bladder, esophagus, stomach and brain."

Following with our ever-popular series on "How to Get Disease," this article discusses how to give yourself a raging case of cancer. It could be breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer or even something like leukemia. By following the instructions in this article, you can give yourself almost any form of cancer desirable and if you pursue these strategies to their fullest potential, you could end up with several different forms of cancer all at once. So, let's get started and learn how to give yourself cancer.
If you're aiming for a raging case of cancer, the first thing you've got to do is start consuming food ingredients that actually promote cancer. One of the most powerful cancer-promoting food ingredients of all is called sodium nitrate. This is an ingredient that is added to virtually all packaged meat products including hot dogs, pepperoni, ham, lunchmeat and other similar products

taking any multivitamin with iron is the worst idea in the world unless you are anemic, then its only a bad idea.

Late in my teenage years, just after finishing high school I was a couple inches shorter than I am now, and weighed ~160 lbs. I remember going to costco, and buying boxes of 25-packs of "Mr. Noodles". I had a challenge with my brother to see who could eat the most in a month.
I won with 240 packages. Since everyone in this thread is saying it's impossible because of the Calorie + Sodium content of hotdogs, I figure it's worth looking into.
Mr. Noodles (chicken flavour, though they're all comparable) have about 400cal and 1560mg sodium per package. Hotdogs are about 148 calories (varies per brand of hot dog I'm sure, just going on the package I have here) and 513mg of sodium.
So since it's 15 hotdogs a day, that's roughly: 2220 Calories, and 7695mg of sodium per day.
I ate ~8 packs of Mr. Noodles per day, which equates to: 3200 calories and 12480mg of sodium.
It's unhealthy, naturally. You know what though, do some exercise and drink some damned water, and this really is an easy prop bet. I still love Mr. Noodles, and I'm not some fat bastard.
If the guy likes hotdogs (which he does), he won't struggle with this. Sadly, I don't know the nutritional info of hotdog buns, but I'm sure that the bread isn't a HUGE factor. Lotta bread sure, but there's more simple carbs in mr. noodles than hotdog buns.
I have no desire to eat that many hotdogs in a month, but I retain the belief that it's not only achievable, but easy. Just my $0.02 cents. I may be misinformed, or straight up wrong.

I agree completely lol
I think some people don't realize how easy it is for some people to eat the same thing everyday. I know many people get sick of eating the same food everyday. I can (and sometimes do) eat the same thing day in and day out voluntarily. Getting paid is just a bonus

all i was saying is that you only have to fit 3 more dogs in after you eat 4 dogs for each meal "snacking" or what ever you want to call it.
if this guy fails i would be amazed. Just look at it like a bonus on a online poker website
he gets 1500 dollars if he eats 450 hotdogs thats - $3.33 payed to him for each dog he eats ( he just has to eat all 450 to get paid )
I could 15 hotdogs a day for a VERY long time if i was getting paid $3.33 to eat each hotdog
Some people are just better (more capable) of eating the same **** everyday without "getting sick of it"
and when you get paid to do it, its even better

I eat pizza every single day, but I still think eating hotdogs only for a month straight is super hard.
