i don't tip dealers after tournaments either. they take money out of the prize pool for staff and dealers anyways

How do you know he is prairie doggin?

According to Urban Dictionary-
"Prairie dogging when you have to drop a load so bad, the head of the turd keeps poking out of your ass then slipping back in. Similar to how a prairie dog pops up and down in their hole, appearing and disappearing."

Dont want to get off topic but this is a common misconception. The dealers at the WPT FW, do not get any of the tournament fees. Yes, I know this for a fact and unfortunately, the entire final table had your same misconception.

Players will use any excuse to not tip.

In most tournaments, a portion of the fees aren't given to dealers, and even if that were the case, when you think of the # of dealers and the amount of hours they spent dealing, that would be like peanuts and is insignificant.

Re: Great laydown then torture vs. Frankenberger WSOP #43

To further the derailment, I was in Vegas a few years ago and a dealer was telling me that when she deals for high stakes cash games that she expects a 10% tip whenever she pushes a big pot to anyone. So I broke it down to a notional amount for her (20k on 200k???) and she was like 'yup, that's right'.

I pretty much laughed in her face and told her to stfu. I think she may have just been trying to get the other fish at the table to tip more.

Also, Frankenberger is the biggest luckbox I've ever seen.

One of the female dealers from HSP, PAD has been part timing it at FW lately and she said that most give $5 per hand.

Re: Great laydown then torture vs. Frankenberger WSOP #43

This thread is now about tipping.

Anyone think the dealers will think I'm a dick if I just throw them a fiver at the beginning of their down and then just stiff them on every pot afterwards?
