Doyle Brunson once told me a story, a poker story, not like a cool story bro but a real story with feelings and deep emotions, and it went like this,

Several years ago in December during the Doyle Brunson 5 Diamond everyone was in Bobby's room playing. I went outside the poker room to take a break and met a very nice older gentlemen that told me he had been waiting five hours for Doyle to come out so he could get a signature. Several hours later I saw him again still waiting when Doyle suddenly flew out of the poker room on his scooter. The poor guy yelled Mr. Brunson could I get a signature please as Doyle flew by and luckily Doyle heard him, reversed and signed his index cards. What a Legend even after all these years he still is a true ambassador and took time out to make someone happy. Side note: Shortly after Joe Cada walks up with a group of five guys but the poker rooms packed so they are stuck in the front. The older gentlemen asks Cada for his signature but Cada does not hear him. One of his friends turns around and tells the man "what do you need" all security guard style lol. He tells Cada and Cada signs the index cards and is very polite.

When he asked nicely for me to pump his gas I did not think anything of it. Little did I know he was about to give me a book and actually take time out of his day for me. My brother in law thinks thats the best part of the entire encounter. Definitely could not make something like that up lol.

He had a brand new SUV, but I would rather not disclose the make or model though.

This weekend I will ask him if he's around at night playing in Bobby's Room.

Yeah cause that would make it to easy to distinguish between the other million out there.

Did I just get leveled for the first time on 2+2? I'm pretty sure if I listed the make let alone the model, it would be pretty obvious what vehicle he was driving. Just trying to add my personal experience to 2+2 nothing more nothing less. I really enjoy all the threads/posts on this forum and just wanted to share my story.

More Vegas stories please

Two or three years ago at Bellagio I'll never forget the day when I was cashing out and Johnny Chan happened to be at the poker room cage doing the same. Obviously it's Johnny Chan so I'm trying to check out how many chips he is cashing out. He turns around looks me up and down, whispers a few words to the cashier, enters a side door and disappears. Now I'm just a 1/2 fish and had no clue a side door even existed lol. The next day when I go to cash out one of the cashiers who I have established a good friendly relationship with starts laughing hysterically when I walk up. He goes on to tell me that Johnny Chan told the other cashier that I looked like a thug and he wanted to cash out in private. Damn internet punks!

Phil Ivey:
Now we all know Phil Ivey is the stone cold nuts no question. During a WPT event the poker room was packed obviously, I'm taking a break outside, when here he comes. Phil mf Ivey! He is with Patrik Antonius and three girls 7/10. It was packed to the brim with people waiting for seats, yet they showed up and the red sea parted instantly. Two minutes later I walked back inside and just happened to be at the table next to Bobby's room. Unfortunately it was so packed that they left shortly after they arrived. Normally I never take pictures, but one time I could not pass up the opportunity. The high stakes area was basically dead at the time so I figured no big deal. "Sir you are not allowed to take pictures" OOPS! Oh well I would have plenty more chances the year Ivey final tabled the Me. More on that later.....
I will post more pictures later and take new ones now that I am able to and have a reason to do so.

Doyle is a cool mofo. His autobiography that he signed is pretty interesting read as well.
