I don't know his childhood n upbringing and all that but I wouldnt be surprised to find out he never really had a father or even any father figures growing up.

Thing about him though is you can tell its actually possible for him to man up, the problem is it would take a lot of work that he probably wouldn't ever wanna see through

Yes, this is long overdue. Have you thought about potential undertitles? "The Degeneral" is my favorite.

WD's undertitle has to be The Degeneral.

Oh when Max was just the slot guru. I was thinking about that in traffic yesterday and how excited he would get to be "feeling it".

I wonder if in another life WD was the owner of a puppy rescue organization because he sure has a heart for stray dudes and their nonsense and trying to get the best out of them.

Laughed out loud at the mall and freaked out a bunch of white people minding their business when I read the Strip Poker Steve update - the mom already had a restraining order on his dumb ass. Lol and he does look a bit washed up/rode hard and put away wet

BOOOMMM! It has been granted. Missing "The", but I'll take it. Shout-out to the Mod that got this done!

Needs the "THE" to set him appart (and rightly so) from the rest of us losers.

+1.

There can only be The Degeneral.

Warm Deck has bad habits of alcohol and extreme gambling, but his life is anything but degenerative. People living boring lifestyles and not doing the things they want to in their lives while aging and withering away are the real degens. WD is successful in all of his ventures, girls, gambling and businesses. Kind of a paradox IMO....

I thought Degeneral was cleaner than The Degeneral personally, but who am I to judge?

Degeneral is dead. Long live The Degeneral.

I have to give a formal Thank You to wombat4hire for personally making sure this task was handled swiftly an appropriately. The Degeneral is now official!

*I just finished a story, but be warned it turned into a total derailment once I got writing. Likely won't appeal to most readers.

C-dog Introduction AKA Hip-Hop Derailment

Looking back I don't think I've ever mentioned this Degen comrade of mine. Seeing as how I've got to a point in this thread where I'm giving recent continuing updates. It's definitely time for a formal introduction.

I'll start from the very beginning in the Fall of 2009. My younger sister was turning 16 that November. Sweet Sixteen parties were huge at the time. MTV had a series on them that had all girls wanting over the top bashes. My sister knew I was the one to turn to when she wanted something that our parents wouldn't allow. It didn't take much selling from her, I was in. Just another excuse to party for me.

Now one of the big gimmicks on these MTV parties was getting a popular music artist to your birthday. I figured I would try my best, even if I could get a C-list musician for her. First thing that came to mind was a friend(Greg) I grew up with. He actually lived across the street from me growing up. We would play sports in the neighborhood and a ton of basketball together. We were both also into hip-hop music from a young age. We really took a liking to the Dj aspect of hip-hop. I can remember being about 14 years old and taking the city bus downtown to the record store for vinyl, so we could practice on the junk turn-tables I picked up at a tag-sale. But after reading The Source magazine, we quickly realized we needed to get our hands on the Technics 1200s. So as freshmen we started saving by making money doing high-school parties. We would bring our stereo equipment, setup, and blast music while the older kids drank their keg beer.

Over the course of that year Greg really went in on the spinning. I was more into making mixes with instrumentals and acapellas I would rip off Napster. Using the Acid program I would put together some pretty good mix-tapes. I wish I still had some of those CD's, I was ahead of my time(brag). There was also MIC(green-thumb), my close friend from the house burning down story. He liked to rap, wasn't that great at it, but what do you expect from a young white suburbian kid in the late 90's. I can't rap, but I can beat box, if you know what I mean. Anyways, all 3 of us spent a lot of time together enjoying hip-hop from each angle.

<broken video link removed at the request of OP>
(Embarrassingly old, I was always the camera man lol)

Greg finally got the 1200's and would practice on an ironing board at my house. He continued to improve and started even getting into break dancing. By this time I was 16 and was really getting into drinking and girls. MIC was still busy recording millions of untold hit tracks in uncharted labs across Western Mass. So we all took our separate paths in life. Greg continued to grind and left his original Dj Echo handle behind him. He was now Dj Wreckineyez and promoting hard. I would bump into him occasionally over the years at local clubs. He was grinding, I was getting drunk. I started to realize he was making a name for himself when I seen him out with Dj Green Lantern. Who many people were of fan of in when he was popular in 2003-04 with the 50 and Eminem mix-tapes.

<broken video link removed at the request of OP>

As time when on Dj Wreckineyez grew in popularity on the Dj scene. He was booking shows all over the place, just gradually bigger and bigger. He linked up at some point with Asher Roth, an up and coming rapper. That was probably the height of his DJing career. It was awesome to see his dream from a young kid actually panning out for him. I would even see him on MTV at this point.

Which brings us to 2009. Asher Roth was somewhat popular and his song "I love College" was catching a lot of air-time. Knowing Greg travels home every holiday to see the family, I figured it was perfect timing to try and book him, and possibly Asher for my sister's sweet sixteen. She was aware of who he was and excited at the thought of me being able to pull this off for her.

<broken video link removed at the request of OP>

So we booked a small venue and started planning. Being that this was a party with 16-18 year olds, we needed chaperons and security. I figured one security guard would be enough. I hired Story Cory(hopefully you guys can remember him from my old story about him) for the security detail. He was big, black, and cost effective. Figured he could handle the job of corralling young suburb kids. He didn't charge me anything. Just gave him a shirt that said security on the back, plus a whistle. As far as chaperons, what better idea then Wins and myself. What could go wrong?

So aside from having all the decorations, food, drinks, fog machines, and laser lights. We just needed our big ticket entertainment. I hadn't talked to Greg in a long time, because he was a busy man living in L.A. working the clubs. I was actually at the casino with another childhood friend who called him about the idea and put me on the phone. I still remember telling him I was at the casino and gamble for a living. He then quickly shot back at me about $100 I supposedly owed him. I was puzzled, and asked him what the hell he was talking about. He reminded me that when we were 13, I bet him $100 that I would make it to the NBA. He clearly didn't believe in my skills as much as I did at the time. I can't make any excuses about an injury that stopped me, just wasn't tall enough, or good enough. I was the best in my school though. We had a good laugh about it. The good news is, he was coming home for the Holidays. But the bad news was we were about a week off on scheduling. I probed a little bit about possibly changing her party date to when he would be in town. But didn't want to sound pushy or desperate. As I write this story I would love to say I got him and Asher for the party, but he just gave me the number of a Dj friend of his. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Forgot a second list act, we had to settle for a local Dj. I met up with him and paid him for the booking. Dj Niko, he was a real cool guy. So the night of the party finally rolls around. I wanted to take my chaperon job seriously, so I made sure I had a breathalyzer on hand for any under-age drinkers. As we were getting setup, Dj Niko arrived and had a bottle with him. Of course Wins and I couldn't help ourselves. We were already a couple drinks in before my sister's grand entrance. Once we started getting drunk, we had to find ways to entertain ourselves. That's when the breathalyzer came in handy. I did it to some kids just messing around, and they all passed. But then there was one little wise-azz. He had the Jersey Shore blowout and Ed Hardy Tee on. He failed the test, so I made him sit outside the whole night. We also encouraged kids to sign-up for contests we had. I can't remember all of them off hand, but probably silly stuff like limbo. We started giving kids $5 just to enter, being ballers like Wins and I were. At one point Wins even made it rain on these high school kids, throwing roughly $200 in small bills off the stage. I can remember one girl going ecstatic over scooping a $20 bill.

(notice the fur hat to the left)

As the night went on, us chaperons continued to drink. Then it was time for the final contest, the dance battle. Being as drunk as we were, this seemed like a fun contest. We had plenty of entries and I was ready to host and ref this intense battle. The circle commenced as I controlled the mic. There were definitely some lackluster entrants who were quickly booed and eliminated. Then there was this tall(6'5) goofy kid with glasses. He was wearing some big Russian looking fur hat. He must have been the popular class-clown because all the kids ate up his lame dance moves. They were going nuts for him. There were others who proceeded to the second round, like Wins. He made a late entrance and got to work. One of the girl entrants even came out to accompany him. She was the GF of Win's GF's younger brother. Then there was the clear cut favorite, a guy friend of my sister who could actually dance real good. He was black and had rhythm of course.

It was down to the final four before the GF of the younger brother was eliminated. She was good looking, but that was about it. Wins really broke out the bag of tricks, even humping the floor in front of all these teenagers. But that wasn't enough to advance him to the final showdown. It was the tall goofy kid with the fur hat versus the kid with rhythm. I'll even admit, I was bias in the polling of the cheers. I thought the kid with rhythm was the better dancer. But the cheers for the other kid were overwhelming. I had to crown him the winner and award him his $50 cash prize. That's when I asked him his name to announce over the microphone. He told me C-dog, which was short for Colton.

Spoiler:

So the party started to clear out while I was outside watching everyone exit. Then I heard screaming coming from a car parked in front of the building. Wins GF's younger brother was in the back seat of a car choking his GF and threatening to kill her. I guess he was jealous that she danced with Wins during the battle. I went over to pull him off her so he would stop. That's when I felt Wins push me and tell me to leave them be. He stopped and the driver took off with them at that point. But I was pissed at Wins for allowing that to go on. We were both really drunk, but his view was that it was his GF's younger brother and to let him do what he wants. Right or wrong I wasn't in the mood for Wins to act like a boss and tell me what to do. It got physical. I was chasing him around threatening him while my younger sister is crying and my Step-Father is holding me back, begging me to calm down. I've always got the best of Wins over the years, so most of our fights became him trying to elude me. He was able to leave and I just continued with the threatening phone calls the rest of the night. This was so embarrassing at the time to be acting like this in front of family and stuff.

The next day normalcy was back in place after I made all my apologies to everyone for my behavior. But WTF was I thinking anyway trying to be a chaperon when I need one for myself. Whatever, I know this story became a complete derailment on the main objective which was introducing C-dog. There is much more to come about him in my current stories. He is for sure a Degen and I will follow up with more about him. I'll cover the time between this encounter and present time next.
