Wow, like many others here, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the posts in this thread, easily the best one ever. ( took me several weeks)

A.C. Adventure Part 1
Been a while since I shared a story ITT, so I'm going to do a belated trip report. Plus I'm in the mood to write/share. This trip took place in January of this year, in the beautiful east coast gambling paradise, Atlantic City. I pre-planned and tried to round up as many Degens as possible, but we all know how that goes. My anticipated Degen Dozen heading down in a 15 passenger van all of a sudden turned into me in the back seat of Strip Poker Steve's ****box. I let Guru take gun(he's taller than I am).
So I had been putting together plans to hit A.C. like hurricane Sandy. I got in touch with a host at the Golden Nugget and made arrangements for a 2 bedroom suite and 3 additional standard rooms comped for the duration of the stay. I made it clear that I was bringing down Degens who were born losers and ready to do just that. I also negotiated lounge access for us all, which would work out well for the those who went bust early. I wouldn't have to come out of my pocket to keep them fed. I had a full list that started to fall apart the closer the trip came. I had guys that I thought for sure wouldn't back out, come down with rare illness's the day of. To be honest the trip almost didn't go off, if it wasn't for me bankrolling the majority. The day of departure ended up me floating SPS $500, Guru $300, and my gambling buddy James $1,500. James actually decided to not leave the first day with us and would meet us down there the next day. So, now it's SPS driving, Guru riding shotgun, then me and another friend(J.R.) of mine in the back. J.R. was the only one going on his own coin.
So the 5 hour trip goes by pretty smoothly. I'm killing time by clowning SPS and showing J.R. backpage hoes out of A.C.(all disgusting of course). SPS made sure to not break the nickel I lent him by not paying a single toll or drop of gas. Which was fine of course, considering he drove his car. This was Guru and J.R.'s first time there and they were pretty excited once we seen all the lights. We valet and check-in to the 2 bedroom suite and one additional room. The other 2 rooms weren't necessary at this time. The suite was decent, SPS and Mark called dibs on the 2 beds in one bedroom of the suite. I took the master of course. Guru was content with the standard room. Everyone seemed to be thrilled to be there and we decide to hit the lounge for drinks to prep us for the night ahead. We all grabbed some food and SPS wasn't shy making sure he got his "money's worth". Which seemed odd to me when he claimed it. I mean he didn't pay for anything and never tipped. But whatever, I enjoyed the vodka.
I end up heading back to the room to shower and get dressed. At this point SPS being the stingy prick he is, walks to the Borgata to save on cab fare. The kid is jumping guard rails to save that $8 or whatever it is. Once I'm ready, I meet with Guru and JR. We do a little bit of gambling on roulette and order drinks. We each make a small profit and keep it moving. To be honest, as I'm writing this, all the details from that night aren't clicking for me right now. So I'll just get to the parts I remember. After a bunch of drinks and gambling we end up at the Taj Mahal. I remember playing craps, being belligerent, and doing decent. I do remember throwing the waitress a decent tip($10 maybe) for a vodka splash of cran. After that I swear she decided to shadow me throughout the Taj. Every time I looked over my shoulder there she was smiling offering me another vodka. This was a weekday BTW. Don't remember what time it was, but J.R. was playing like 5 numbers on roulette and hitting either $5 or $10 on a number every other spin. I end up losing my dice winnings trying to win like him. So I was back down to my original roll of $2kish, had bank card for back-up. Then when the alcohol had me on the fence I hit Baccarat with the Asians. There was a bunch of winning and losing then I blacked out. I still felt the remnants of walking away empty handed. I have zero recollection of getting back to the Golden Nugget and getting to my room.
Next morning I wake up to the shock/sick feeling of knowing you dusted off all your cash. I go to the other bedroom and SPS is already awake chatting it up with JR. SPS has a **** eating grin on his face as he asks me how I did last night, while having a good read I went busto. I kept my cool and said "Lost it all drunk". He ****ing loved it, think that lowlife blushed. J.R., seemed chipper as **** himself. Had black chips and cash all over the dresser. Gloating about how he was smashing numbers left and right the night before. I still kept my composure, but it was making me sick listening to his basketball references for all the numbers he nailed. "Ooohhh that Jordan was so sweet!!!" Talking about 23 obv, he made sure to motion a fade-away as he said it. But I had no hate for him, just sour I busted the first night of a 4 day trip. I was out $5k cash at the moment with the money I floated, lost, and $200 cash deposits I put on rooms. J.R threw me $500 even though I had my bank card which was a nice gesture of him. He said don't worry about it because I took care of the whole trip. To give it back to him when I win. $500 wasn't going to cut it though, so I needed to hit the ATM. I decided to check on Guru and see how he was holding up with the $300 I lent him. I went to his room and woke him up, he seemed down as me. I asked him how he did and he said he lost everything on slots. I moaned about how I went bust and asked him if he had gave me any money last night. Then I hear, "No, but.. I found a $20 bill on the ground and won all this!!" As he pulls a knot of twenties out of his jean that were laying on the floor. I was shocked, then he smiles and say's it's my money. I was confused. I guess I was doing well on Baccarat and had about $5k, then started losing and he knows how that goes when I'm white boy wasted. He snagged 2 pumpkins when I wasn't looking and cashed them in at the cage for twenties just like I like it. I lost back remaining chips and had no idea he took $2k. I was thrilled
, gave him a hug and replaced his $300 he lost free of charge. That's what friends are for!
We all get motivated and hit lounge for breakfast while we piece together the prior night. SPS is just stuffing his face with 3 plates in front of him and says he lost $40 from playing 1-2 all night. I gave JR his $500 back and heard about how he did so well on roulette. I guess he got real drunk at one point and started dumping drinks on the ground. Security came over to him and asked what was going on. He was real blunt and said he didn't like the servers attitude so he threw the drink on the ground. He then gave security $100 and told him to get lost, which he did. That's A.C. for ya. So all in all it wasn't too bad of a night. I was actually up a little bit even after giving Guru a comp $300 thanks to Pai Gow while waiting for the lounge to open. Hit a straight flush with a $5 bonus and won a few hands. So I was in a good mood and decided to nurse my hangover by entering the little daily tournament the Golden Nugget runs.
Everyone entered except SPS who ran across the highway again to grind Borgata. Ended up being about 3 full tables or so. They busted pretty early on and I just folded and holded my way into the prize pool. Can't remember details on buy-in or how much I cashed, but would say $100 buy-in and $500 cash. 4th place I think. Whatever, it killed time and I profited. I was in contact with James who was on his way down with another friend(Brett). I actually remember 2+2 Degen Pocket Rockets texting me, saying that he might make it down. Never did, but would have most likely added to the entertainment. Once I cash my slip, I catch up with Guru and he has the blues. The slots got him again. I give him a comp c-note and tell him to cheer up.
