yah you need to go somewhere with this thread. like i said before it has potential. 20k is alot and you know that its alot easier to get people to come in here raed stories and give rave reviews another thing to actually start shelling out real cash. but I like what you are doing and where you are going. I like the idea of a documentary and a book. its a start and you are heading somewhere. be flexible and most importantly keep writing documenting the past and present and plan for soemthing.

maybe a little less ambitious. maybe the goal is vegas but there are spots along the way. imaging a degen reality series starting in CT heading across the country hitting up casinos with Vegas being the end. start with your crew and pick up characters along the way. document it all then edit it. you could get some good people to help out with the post video editing. then you don't have to limit yourself and **** you might end up dead, strung out, in jail half way across the country but it would still be awesome. obviously it would need a little planning but i thionk it could work and be more accessible to this community and multiple people could meet you with you on the way.

rent an RV. plan a route. set up challanges along the way. degens gonna degen. send people how on buses, pick up new characters for stops along the road. most casinos have free parking for RV which could help costs. players along the way could help out if you get interest.

i also think you could start out with low costs and if this thing grows and builds you gain interest and support. if not and it fizzles you can pack up and go home just work with how far you got. there would be great stories along the way and great times ahd so not a total loss.

There's what, 300 posters in this thread that have replied saying they love the stories and maybe 10 posters who are trolling. Why cater to the 10? Put them on your ignore list and keep writing. Frank Thomas was my favorite player as a kid. Still have a ton of his cards and autographed bat.

I like this idea, but is def too time consuming. I can spend a week away from home. But have to be around to handle business you know. Would be a ton of fun and I'm pretty sure you would need a pretty decent budget to support this.

You might consider attempting to be one of those YouTube Millionaires. You got 50k hits in 2.5 weeks on a cardplayer forum. Depending on how you video tape, edit, and display it, you might get a decent return on investment.

I really shouldn't be posting this story. But posting a story won't be the worst mistake I've made in life. I think I can live with it and should be able to sleep fine tonight. Now where to start? Okay, so I have a friend that we will call 420. He is a very easy going guy about my age. I have known him for about 5 years and is a pretty straight forward good guy. He is far from a street guy, but loves to sell pot. Him having some bad experiences in the past with getting ripped off has made him timid about picking up his supply. He smokes himself and has a decent customer base of people similar to him. They pay good money for their product with the expectation of dodging riff-raff and other headaches. So 420 needs a connection but doesn't want to get screwed. That's where I come into play. I bridge the gap.

420 goes to see a guy I know and picks up his work hassle-free. He doesn't bring cash and there is never a problem. He gets about $15k on consignment and I square up with my guy right after he sees him. Then I wait the 3-4 weeks for 420 to fulfill his obligation. With the consignment mark-up and the his clientele rates, it is worth it to me. This runs smoothly for a long time. 420 never stiffs me and everything always weighs out properly. Never, not once a problem. 420 is the type of guy that enjoys making payments. But he can also be very gullible sometimes since he is so easy going. Which eventually complicated things.

420 had met a guy he had known having some problems and was in contact with him off an on for a year. I never met this guy and had only heard about him. Seemed like he may be on the dirt-bag side, but I couldn't say for sure. Apparently this guy was venting to 420 about money problems and wished he could hustle up some money. 420 then offered to help by giving him some weed on the front. He trusted this guy alot and was comfortable with him. Ate dinner at his apartment, hung out with him, and so on. I guess that was running smooth for a bit. Now, this guy was from Springfield and had a Spanish GF. She hung out with many low-life friends and family members. I heard they actually took a bus to meet 420 at his house to pick up more pot. He was so trusting in this guy that he let him in and showed him his stash. Everything went fine. But then the Spanish GF got a phone call. She said her ghetto friend and her BF were nearby at a mall and needed a ride home. 420 being the nice guy he is, obliged. He picked up these 2 other scumbags he had never met before and gave them all a ride home. I guess the girl was white and the BF was Spanish. They talked openly about the weed and all the types he had. The new Spanish scumbag in the car had asked where 420 lived. He answered, saying he lives one street behind the mall. A major mistake obviously but he did not think anything of it.

I generally would meet 420 at random places while I'm out and about. Sometimes I go to his house for payment, but not often. It was the week after Christmas and he text me saying he had $3k for me and I decided to just stop by his house. He told me to just come in when I get there. He was dicking around on his computer with some sort of role playing PC game and I sat on the couch to bull**** with him a little. He gave me the $3k and his girl arrived. She said hello and they were waiting on a friend of hers to stop by to pick up. Then he had some running around to do. Now I'm sitting on the couch in his 1 bedroom open floor apartment. He is about 6 ft away from me in his computer chair and his GF is sitting to the right of me on the couch. The entrance is about 5 ft to my left and I see the screen door open through an upper window pane on the door. I said "someone is here". They say it's just a friend of the girlfriends. Well if it was, I thought they were playing a prank. Because the door just opened and there was a short Spanish kid with a mask on coming through pointing a gun. There was another taller Spanish kid with a mask on behind him, with no gun. They were yelling "DON'T MOVE!" I was about 100% sure it wasn't a prank as the kid with the gun immediately pistol whipped me over the back of the head. It truthfully didn't hurt and didn't make me wobbly or anything. The kid was pretty small and the gun was tiny too. Pretty senseless to hit me with it but whatever. I guess that's the policy. Kick in the door, than pistol whip everyone.

It became a quick commotion. I could hear "Where's the weed?" Then the screaming of 420's GF. This ****ing scumbag pistol whipped her right in the face after he hit me. It cut open a gash near her eye and she was bleeding pretty badly. The guy without the gun kept asking 420 where the weed was. He was very scared and told the kid to go into the room. The shorter kid held the gun on me the whole time. Which was weird considering he had his back to 420. I think he thought I was the guy that lived there. At one point I kind of sat up like I was getting ready to get up because this guy was so small. He then looked me right in the eyes and put the gun to my knee. He said "I will ****ing shoot you, don't try ****." He then pulled the gun back exposing the bullet in the the chamber. To me at that point, it was worth taking a shot in the face trying to be a hero. Plus I like my knees. 420 is just begging them to leave and take whatever they want. The kid with the gun then grabs my cell phone off the table. I told him he wasn't taking my cell-phone. He responded saying that "If your the guy, then we want your phone". I said WTF are you talking about. He then was trying to figure out if I lived there. He asked if the girl was my GF. I told him I was visiting. The other kid came out the room with all the weed and asked 420 for money. He gave him $500 he had in his wallet. The short kid then asked me if I had money. I told him "Ya I think I have some change in mycar if you want it." He never put his hands on me after the first initial gun blow. He was more pre-occupied making sure I didn't make a move. He then asked the taller kid if I was the guy. The kid answered no. He then said if lay down he will give me my phone back. Because I had been so adamant that I wasn't letting him take my phone. Well he gave it to me and I put my head down on the couch kind of leaning sideways.

Then a long 60 seconds pass and they are leaving out the backdoor with the weed, 420's cell phone, and $500. They made sure to demand they wanted 420 out of the neighborhood in a week before they left. They also said he ain't selling drugs around there anymore. When I sat up, we all kind of looked at each other in shock. I wanted to know who the **** was behind it and started prying 420 for answers. His GF was distraught about the bleeding. It was their call on whether or not to report the incident and they decided against it. Feeling they were only drawing heat on themselves. She cleaned up and they were heading to the hospital for stitches. I was on a war-path. 420 sent me on a wild goose chase though. I rounded up some guys and started shaking down Spanish kids he knew that he thought were behind it. I showed up at their jobs and houses that night. After going threw cell-phones and looking into their eyes I knew I was on the wrong trail.

I didn't get robbed for anything and only had a bump on the side of my head, but I was fired up. I let 420 be for the night, and he was even scared to return to his apartment. But I told him to meet me the next day. We sat down and went over any possible leak that would have caused this. There was 1 possible on my side but I showed up and surprised him. He definitely didn't have anything to do with it. Which I highly doubted anyway. That's when the whole story came out from 420 about giving the ride home for that scumbag couple from the mall. He pretty much didn't want to admit to me that he slipped up that bad. I mean Springfield is god awful when it comes to home invasions. But 420 is a sitting duck. They have been much more rampant in the recent year or so because it is so bad financially out there. People just don't care and are willing to do anything. Odd thing is, 95% of these suspects don't get got for the reported ones. You would think with everyone usually having a cell-phone in arms reach now a days, that the cops would be called immediately. That was never an option in this case. Everything happened so fast and his apartment was like a fish bowl. So now he is giving me a suspect who he doesn't know his name or anything about. He felt that the taller kid who came in was the Spanish kid from the mall. That the shorter kid was just an accomplice to carry the gun and split the prize pool with. Either way this wasn't going to be easy to track him down. 420 actually begged me to leave it alone. He was in fear of them returning. I accepted his wishes and gave him some time to make good on the $8k balance.

He made a mistake and he had to make good on it. I couldn't just take a loss for him opening his mouth. He was a straight forward guy and took care of it in full with a loan from someone. I felt bad about his situation overall because I knew it traumatized him much more than it did me. He has since moved and no longer sells. We still communicate and things have been going okay for him.

I got a friend who has a You-tube page he makes money off of. He has been asking me for a couple years to do my stories on there. But wanted to kind of remain anonymous. But so much for that here lol.

I actually think I'm going to Vegas no matter what around that time with my buddy James. Not sure of actual week yet. Definitely interested in meeting some fellow degens.
