So I just submitted my Kickstarter for review. I have a feeling it is going to get denied after being referred to the rules and regulations page. I think the problem will be gambling and some of my rewards I listed for humor. Going to copy and paste them.

1-You will receive access to the live trip report through a private Facebook account. There will be continuous updates as well as many photos and video.

2-Along with the trip report access you will receive all uncensored and explicit video outtakes through e-mail or private links to the posted site.

3-In addition to full access to the live reporting, you will receive an edited copy of the Documentary on DVD. You will also be given film credits. Unless you wish to remain anonymous.

4-On top of everything else described, you will have Poker Jay at your service for the day. His assistant skills are impeccable. This will only be available to someone who is on site for the week of the trip. He will be at your service from noon of the day you select until he passes out. Making this a club night is preferred. He is very handy with an iron

5-This pledge will get you a personal phone-call from the Slot Guru and he will divulge all of his slot machine prowess in a 15 minute Q&A. You also will be able to select a tattoo of your choice that he will have done. Will be flexible, but within reason. DVD and trip report access also included.

6-The beauty of this pledge is that you have a chance to break even. You will be playing Strip Poker Steve heads up in No-Limit Texas Holdem. It will be a freeze-out structure with $1,000 being awarded to the winner. You also having the option of being included in the documentary for the filming of this intense heads up battle. DVD and trip report access also included.

7-A chance to place a sports wager with the legend Ocean himself. He will give talk sports and book the best game the two of you can select. For this you do not have to be on site, but would be preferred. You will make contact through phone or trip report blog to select game. You will also be shipped the profit on the $1000 wager. DVD and trip report access also included.

8-For anyone's entertainment pleasure they will get a date with Strip Poker Steve for the night. He will not disappoint. Women preferred, but he is also flexible. DVD and trip report access also included.

9-For this premium pledge you will spend the whole night with us. Will be complete degeneracy and debauchery. At the high point of the night we will strike a roulette wheel with either red or black. You will also be rewarded the winnings. This is an on-site must and you have option of part taking in the documentary. DVD and trip report access also included.

10-You will call the shots and have exclusive creative control over the majority of the trip. Of course DVD and trip report access also included.

I am a total degenerate and have lived on the edge for the past 10 years. I make poor decisions and enjoy almost every minute of them. Some love me, some hate me.

This is an idea that I had recently thought of and wanted to make happen. It all started here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/54...ively-1447213/. I had decided to share some of my life experiences on this forum in the form of short compact stories. I found mixed reviews on what I actually had to share. Did find that an overwhelming amount supported my stories and was interested in me writing a book as I have many more to share. I also found that many enjoyed the characters in my stories and found them entertaining. Everything I have shared is authentic and real. This is non-fiction. I do enjoy writing and definitely enjoy debauchery. I have a strong gambling background and would love to set a platform of Vegas for a week long trip of total documented madness. I have never really tried this in the past and think that now is the time. I'm looking to provide a gonzo journalistic approach. If you take the time to read my stories in the link to the thread I provided, I am sure you will realize I will deliver. I don't know if this has been done before and am looking to take this to the extreme. As far as funding goes, I am going to need to provide five degenerates and a couple groupies an all expense paid trip. It will include flights, room, board, gambling funds, and all other miscellaneous things that will come up during this time-frame. I will need to provide adequate film, photo, and writing coverage of this adventure. On top of that I will have to provide copies of the final cut of the Documentary on DVD.

The main challenge here is funding. I hope to find enough people with interest in this type of entertainment to pledge. I will be able to cover my way and handle any financial strains that may unexpectedly arise. This is all in good fun and nature and hope to provide what is expected. I think this will be a melting pot of National Lampoons Vegas Vacation, The Hangover, Owning Mahowny, The Cooler, and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas combined. In the reality TV/Documenary form of course. I believe I will be able to arrange for everyone I described in the thread, that I listed to go to make it. So good luck to us and anyone who wants to see this goal obtained.

You're stories are great but it seems like you got a bit full of yourself.

If you want to give money to some guy on the internet to have a good time in Vegas then go ahead. I would rather go have my own fun but then again you're most likely some loser in your parents basement jerking off into a box and eating your toe nail clippings.

I don't know why everybody has to turn so quickly on the OP. I think it would be a sick idea. I could only toss in around twenty bucks (I'm a poor college kid lol). **** the haters though. This thread ****ing delivered...it's definitely worth chipping in.

I hear ya. Not a big deal. Definitely got carried away and over contributed my stories because I was getting such good responses from so many people. Also got many personal messages and so on. Felt I was really entertaining and tried to deliver. Then it was recommended to me, that the rounding up of all the characters for a Vegas trip would be "EPIC" by numerous people. Something that would be ridiculous of me to finance for everyone's viewing pleasure. I though it was reasonable for me to think fundraising $10-$20 from any interested readers was not outlandish. I mean were talking $15 and were most gamblers anyway. Its a minimum bet in a hand of black jack. In my talks with my friends I set the $20k minimum bar which isn't crazy for 8 people for a week in Vegas. I thought could maybe raise half and I was match the other half. But I clearly understand there's 2 sides to every coin. Some may say "**** it, let's do it." assuming that I will provide plenty of entertainment. Let's face it, that's what most on this thread for anyway. Then on the other side it gives any haters to look at it like I'm asking for a handout. Which is also funny considering how many poker players continue to borrow and get backed in the gambling world. Everyone is out there trying to profit. Promoting websites,collecting rake live and online, sponsorship deals, writing strategy books, poker TV shows, etc.. Like many have jobs to earn a living, I have my own things. This was just an attempt at being over the top and amusing this community. I honestly got carried away believing that there was a chance this was possible. It's all in good fun. Also to be clear I was never asking with any of the characters of my story even knowing. So it wasn't like they were looking for a free ride. I was going to put them on display for everyone's entertainment. Either way at the end of the day, I did enjoy writing these stories. It has been pretty time consuming anyway. Hammering out 25 stories in 2 weeks was alot for me. I guess I was just trying to take it to the next level. Anyway like I said before, Thanks to everyone who supported, and the haters can eat a dick.

I would definitely throw down some cash but 20k is a high benchmark especially for something like this. Your stories are great and I got a lot of laughs from reading them. The kick starter is good because it let's people get something tangible for their contribution. Good luck with everything.

I never really expected to raise that much. Just thought that was a comfortable figure for a week with 5 degens and a couple girls. It would have been nice if nobody attacked from my first proposal of the idea. Simple things like u saying 20k is too much and everyone kind of recommend a better plan would have been better. Like reducing the trip to 4 days or not bringing the girls to cut cost. I did check out Kickstarter like u said but there really isn't too much for me to offer other than trip report blog and an edited DVD of the trip. My other rewards I posted were more for humor. Also I had thought returning any initial funds if money was made or leftover was a good idea. One of these guys could have got lucky with some of the gambling funds I distributed to them. But I think your right and was trying to be over the top.

Please don't stop posting OP! I'm certain your supporters greatly outnumber these lame haters. I snap visit this thread every time I come to 2+2 and I'm sure many others do, too.

You have a great storytelling ability and I think you should seriously consider writing a book. It would be a constructive project that has the potential to make some money. At the very least it would help hone your writing skills and it would be a learning experience.

Maybe just post stories less often ITT so you don't get burned out so quickly, but for the love of god don't let this thread die!

As a mod here, please don't stop. The Vegas idea may have been a little over zealous, but I didn't, nor did any other mod, shut it down because we didn't feel you were begging. While it toes the lines of the rules here, I whole heartedly approve and hope kick starter picks it up. Would make for a great documentary, not the entertainment but the story of what degeneracy does. Wish you all the best.

Ya $100 would make up for guys who are dead broke or were against putting something up. I was kind of making a joke with the whole rewards thing. The first 3 were $10,$25,$100. But after that I pretty much was just making rewards for fun. I said for $1k you could play him heads up. He obv sucks and anyone willing to put up $1k is huge favorite. So you most likely win the money right back. So if someone was willing to do that it was just for adding to the entertainment value on the trip. Plus entice him into going on this trip for his big shot at possibly winning $1k. Honestly though when I first posted I was expecting more of a group debate on best way to run with this idea. Haven't received too much support but I'm glad to hear a positive response from you.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to keep writing in this thread and give the haters their complimentary lurking amusement. Not just with the writing , but I'm posting pics and video trying to deliver. Its too much to give away to the haters. Have honestly thought about the idea of writing my stories formally and in full. I appreciate your words. If I ever get going on this project I will definitely keep you posted. Maybe go back through the thread and e-mail them to the guys who posted in support of it.

I'm glad you understand. Just kind of discouraging when you are truly trying to deliver for the community and everyone is hung up on the $20k number. I know I'm one of those over the top kind of guys, which is probably obvious from this past couple weeks of posting. I just threw a number out for a week of 8 people and no one countered with any other idea. Never know though, maybe this is something that would get off the ground. Thanks for posting.
From what I read on KS about funding, is that you pledge a certain amount with a CC or debit. If the project doesn't reach it's goal nobody is charged. You have a certain deadline to reach your goal and if that expires, it is over. If you were to reach your goal, that is when all the pledges will be gone through and charges will be processed. Some charges may not go through or default for different reasons. The site also take a 5% commission and there is a 3-5% CC processing fee. So most likely 10% of project funds goes to the house. As far as knowing how many people read this I couldn't say. If I had to guess maybe 500+. But really in the dark. I do know it has gotten about 45k views in 2 and a half weeks. I understand that is alot of the same people going through the thread. Which is clear seeing how the video from a story has only gotten 1500 views. Many probably repeaters there too lol. But the thread is still kind of new I would say, and many in the community may have not gotten to it. Either way, I've said many of times I didn't expect to raise that much. Was just the first bar I set. Also believed there would be others who would be willing to donate more than $10-$20. Personally I would easily contribute a $100 for this type of situation. But that's just me and I have a degeneracy problem anyway.

This is the idea debate that I was hoping for. The Vegas thing sounded good at first when my friends and I were personally discussing it originally. Considering it's the Mecca and would be my first time. Again was just an initial idea and sounded great to me at the jump.

P.S. If you think I'm upset that somebody won't give me and my friends $20k as you just quoted, you are very off on me.

Want to add to that last post. I am currently ejected from both of my home casinos. I have faxed in my apology letters for the 2nd time and am up for review in July. I would bank on one allowing me back at best. But never know. A.C. would make a pretty decent destination.

Another thing I wanted to point out. I was open to any guess list suggestions or cuts. The original guess list I proposed was Strip Poker Steve, Poker Jay, Slot Guru, Ocean, and like 2 girls. The only one in there that I actually have respect for and wouldn't want to make a mockery of is Ocean. He is a monster degen with a great sense of humor. But is on the sharper side and wouldn't give the total embarrassment, sell your soul type of deal the 3 others would. As far as the girls, they would be randomly picked skanks I could care less about. Those 5 would be purely involved for amusement pleasure and how bad they will sell themselves when times are tough at the casino. I am crazy/borderline ******ed when I drink, but I wouldn't do a 3rd of the things they would. With that being said I in no way cared about my "friends" getting a handout. Ocean is the only one that is my real friend.

If you do this in AC I will play heads up for 1k and give $500 win or lose. Let's do this hahaha dg status

Anyone who has any suggestions on a better plan, who does think this is a good idea overall. Please post a game plan. Include guest list, destination, length of stay, budget goal. Feel free to throw in any funky twist to the trip or entertainment ideas.
