A.C. Trip

It was the 2nd week of 2012 and I was coming off a fresh ejection from Mohegan Sun. My Foxwood's ban wasn't being lifted for another week or so and I needed to gamble. So A.C. seemed like the most obvious choice. I had play from previous trips and was able to book free rooms at the Golden Nugget. I had only stayed out there prior when it was the Trump Marina. So I was familiar with it and felt comfortable booking there. Atlantic City is about a 5 and a half hour drive from where I live. That's an 11 hour round trip, and sitting in a car that long each way is a buzz kill. So this trip isn't something I make often and it's hard for me to find friends willing to accompany me. Now the only problem was finding somebody to go. I knew my options were limited being that I needed someone who was, A) a degenerate, B) has nothing to do for the next 4 days, and C) someone who was willing to drive that far.

After a quick shuffle through my contacts, I realized I only had one option. Strip Poker Steve was the number I dialed. He has a complete disregard for any life activities and responsibilities. He is the type that would leave his daughters birthday party early if someone was staking him in the nightly daily. He has never turned down poker. The great part is, he also loves to drive. He has a GPS mounted on his dash and a radar detector going at all times. He could be dropping me off at my house then heading 10 minutes home and he will still punch in his home address on the GPS. Pretty weird if you ask me. I don't understand the radar detector either. He sets his cruise control and refuses to adjust it for anything. He completely freaks when a car in front of him slows down enough to where he has to reset. I remember a time he got pulled over on route 2 in CT. He was doing 80 and the cop came up to the window and said "Do you know how fast you were going?" Steve replies "Yes, about 80". The trooper than asks why Steve was doing 80. Steve answered "Well that's what I had my cruise control set at." I was sitting there thinking did he really just say that. The cops says "So that's what you do up in Mass?". Steve nodded yes. The cop then greeted him with "Well welcome to Connecticut azzhole." Then strolled back to his car and took his time writing Steve a monster ticket. Anyways we end up talking and he wants to go. Only problem is, Christmas time is supposedly a slow time in his line of work. So he needs a loan. No problem, he is good for it and I just secured a trip. We agree to a $500 loan that he will pay back by the end of the trip if he doesn't lose it. He is a much better poker player at this time then when we first played, but still isn't an advanced player. Either way I feel I got a 50/50 shot at getting it back before the end of the trip. We also agree to split gas and he picks me up in a couple hours.

We get on the road about 930pm. I give Steve his $500 and we gas up. I brought $5k with me and hope to run well. I try to just relax the whole boring ride down. It was about 330am when we arrived. We had some life back in us from seeing all the lights. We parked valet and grabbed our bags. Once we got to the desk there was no one there to check us in. So while were waiting I see a nice roulette wheel nearby. I tell Steve to watch my bags and I figure I will take a pop shot with $200. I play nickels and lose it after 3 spins. I wanted my money back so pulled out $500. That was gone fairly quickly. Pull out a $1000 and I'm not making any ground, but hitting enough to spin for a while. Eventually lost that and looked over to see Steve talking to his wife on his cell phone. I guess he was telling her that this trip might be shorter than he expected. There was no way I was checking into my room stuck $1700. I pull out another $1k, and after 2 hours of total play, I walk back to the desk to check-in with $2700 in chips in my hand. I didn't win anything, but it sure felt good. We got out keys to our standard room and headed up. Steve was eager to play, but one of my loan stipulations was that he couldn't play until the next day after getting some sleep. I didn't want him blowing his roll like he did last time. Especially with my money. So we called it a night.

Next morning we wake up with the Borgata poker room in mind. Steve gets on the list for 1-2 NL and I'm waiting for 2-5 PLO. A seat opens quickly and I sit with $1k I think. Not sure if that was the max. I was getting involved, seeing flops, and winning some small pots. I opened 5478 double suited and got re-potted by a lady at the table. Flop was Jh6s3s giving me a flush draw. I lead for $50 and she makes it $200. I call and the turn is an off-suit 9d. I check call $400. River is 4s which gives me a flush, but I obviously wanted to just hit the straight. I figured my flush wouldn't be any good. I call her last $250 anyway. She rolls over the AKK9 with ace high spades. I pick my hand up and moan a little bit about the monster draw I had. When all of a sudden I realize I have the 57 of spades for a straight flush! This lady was furious. I didn't mean to slow roll her. I honestly didn't know I had it. She didn't believe me. I continued to win and then came a hand where a good player at the table was value betting my QQ on a board of T42TT with his KK. The way the hand played out I wanted to make the call on the river and had the chips in hand acting like I might call as I chatted with him. This lady was so tilted she demanded that my motion was a call when I don't even think it was close. She called the floor to voice her argument while the dealer and a few players took my side. The guy in the hand just shows his KK and says it's not a call don't worry. He was cool and I never had to put the money in. I picked up shortly later, up about $800 after giving back some winnings with top set. I checked on Steve and he was up $300 so we grabbed a bite to eat.

So I'm trying to enjoy lunch while having to listen to this guy tell me how he finessed every hand he played to book the $300 winner. I couldn't take it no more and decided to give the Borgata roulette wheels a shot with my profit. These wheels weren't that kind to me. I didn't like the wheels at all. No dividers, shallow pockets, a ping pong ball. Either way I lose my $800 profit and steam chase it for another $2,500. I had $2,500 left in my pocket after losing that and was able to walk away somehow. I figured I would get it back at poker. I went and checked the board for the biggest game I could afford. Mix games was and still are my favorite games to play. So I took an open seat at 50-100 Mix with a rack of green. There was TD and Badugi in the mix, which was nice because they don't spread these at my local casino. Only interesting hand I remember was a TD hand. I started with T8743. I seemed fairly tight and I opened early, Button 3 bet and I thought the BB capped. BB only called but I put in the cap calling chips. I realize this when the button goes "really?". They both call. BB draws 1 and I'm thinking "well a 10 is decent and now that I capped I can't draw." Maybe bad logic but whatever. Button draws 1. I have to bet and they both call. Now the BB pats. I have to keep my story going and I pat. Button draws 1. BB checks to me, so I'm still representing the goods. I bet praying BB breaks. I felt he would given my image and the way he was acting. They both call. BB breaks thank god. Button draws one and I just bet the hoping neither of them make a hand so I don't have to show. They both folded and I drag in the pot. BB says he broke a 9. I told him I had an 8 perfect. BB and button start talking and come to the conclusion I'm lying as they both held a deuce and the Button burnt through 2 of them drawing. I continued to do well and the game got kicked up to 75-150. Shortly after Steve had came up to me to say he won another $300 playing 1-2. I decided to pick up with $7,300. Was a nice comeback after torching in roulette.

As I was selling my chips to the next guy on the list who was taking my seat, a nice guy who appeared to be a supervisor came over to greet me. I can't remember his name off hand now, but he seemed very popular. He realized I was new and asked if I needed anything. I told him I was staying at the Golden Nugget for another night. He then upgraded me to the Black Card and booked me 2 comp nights for Friday and Saturday at the Borgata. He said I would much rather stay there than the Nugget. He was right and this was definitely cool of him to do. So I'm back in the black up $2kish. Steve and I were both in a good mood and I end up treating him to dinner at an expensive seafood restaurant there. They were very formal and made me remove my hat. I told Steve I would pay as long as I didn't have to listen to his dumb stories about beating AK with KQ on a K high flop. Dinner was good and we headed back to the Nugget because it was only Thursday and I couldn't check-in until tomorrow.

We got showered and dressed and planned on a night of drinking and gambling. I was being smart and made sure I left $5k in the safe. We played small stakes black jack and roulette with nothing too exciting. We then found out they had a poker room there. There was one table of 1-2 NL and we sat in the open seats. We tipped the waitress good and were getting wasted. We played like complete idiots, making huge over-bets and non-stop jokes. The table pretty much broke after one of us would bust a player one at a time. After tipping and rake Steve was up $700 and I was down $100. I lost my winning's playing a blind all-in with him. When he headed to the cage I told him to give me the $100 I was down and he said sure I only owe you $400 now. I didn't like that at all and got pretty upset with him. I said "No, your going to give me $100 to break me even on that table, and STILL owe me $500." I mean he just took a $300 blind all-in from me, I took care of the hotel stay, I paid for his $100 dinner, and lent him $500 to come down with. The least he could do is break me even so I don't feel like I lost playing in that pathetic game. He did and we decided to take a cab to the Taj Mahal.

Steve hit the poker room there and I got drunk in the pits. Lost maybe $500 and called it quits. While I was waiting for Steve, I called a girl I knew that was dealing late shift at my local casino. I tried talking her into taking 2 days off work and driving all the way there. She was getting off work at 5am. So I told her to pack and head straight to A.C. and gave her our room number at the Nugget. I then headed into the poker room and sweated Steve play for a little bit. He picked up and we hit the Showboat. This place was a dive. Was pretty dead but we found a single 1-2 table running. We enjoyed not having a last call and continued to drink at 3am. I made a few hundred and we went out to the gaming floor. Steve goes to a roulette wheel and pulls out his loose money of a $20, $10, $5, and two $1 bills. I found it amusing when they carded him. But was shocked when they hit these small bills with a marker. I never seen a casino check bills like that at a table. I inquired into why they were doing so. They said that Puff Daddy had a show there a couple months prior and that a massive amount of counterfeit came through the casino that night. Steve lost it all that spin anyway. We played some Craps then hopped a cab back to the Nugget. It was about 430am and there were girls sitting at the bar near the lobby. We stopped to grab a drink with these obvious hookers. They weren't too attractive and Steve didn't care. I whispered to him I'll pay half if he ****s the hooker sitting next to him. Just so I could abuse him the next day about penetrating a nasty hooker. He told me only if I get a blowjob too. I said fine and he brings her up to the room.

She gets right to business as I giggle. They agree on $100. Steve is into it and starts getting undressed. Steve and the hooker were making comments for me to participate. I couldn't take this comedy anymore and said I had to go to the bathroom. I took a long shower hoping he would finish and she would be gone. But Steve paid for the hour and he wants his moneys worth. After a half hour, I shut the water off and listen to see if she has left yet. I can hear them talking casually. I come out and find her sitting on the bed dressed, talking to him about I don't know what. I said I'm surprised she is still here. Steve says "Ya I got her for an hour, there's 20 minutes left." She asks me if I want a blowjob. I gave in and told her to take her bra off and I let her blow me on her knees while I stood there facing away from Steve. I told Steve to stop talking and let me concentrate. She was was really into it and I finally nutted on her. I laughed, then hopped in bed. I think Steve exchanged numbers with her and seen her out.

Its 12pm and I hear a knock at the door. I ignore it hoping room service will go away. Then my phone keeps vibrating. More knocking at the door. I finally check my phone and see the girl I talked to the night before actually came. I had forgot all about asking her to come while I was drunk. I opened the door feeling like death. She comes in all bright eyed and I bury my face in the pillow. We eventually pack up and head over to Borgata to check-in to my room there. It was nicer than the Nugget for sure and I didn't want to be in that room any longer after the acts that hooker performed the night before. We all head downstairs to do some gambling. After some small losses we grab something to eat. Steve is on a dating app on his phone and says he found a girl for the night. He leaves to pick her up because she lives 5 minutes away from the casino. Were back in the room when he returns with this nappy headed girl that looks like shes 15. She could have just had a young face. She spoke softly and said she was 20 though. Either way it was embarrassing. I end up giving the girl I'm with $200 to gamble and I head back to the 50-100 mix game. I was stuck then quit up $300. I told the girl to get ready for dinner and took her to an Italian restaurant there. After that we met up with Steve and what looked like one of Bebe's Kids in the room and had a few drinks. Steve asked us to give him some alone time and said he would meet us after. This girl and I took a cab to the Taj Mahal and played baccarat. We got drunk while bending the cards for a bit. I managed to get even after being in the hole $2k. Steve finally shows up there after dropping that girl off. He said he banged her and I abused him about being a pedophile. He came walking in cheesing like he was the man. I said "What do you call that? the pedosmile?" We had some laughs an got a ride back to the Borgata with him.

This broad didn't want to smash while Steve was in the room. Luckily I was still drunk enough early the next morning to smash her out while Steve was showering. I was starting to feel run down from drinking so much, plus I just hit it. So I suggested she should probably get back to work and make some money. She took my advice and left. Nothing too exciting had went on that day. I played 20-40 stud all day with the regulars. I was content locking up my $3k in profit. I headed back to the room and Steve was on his dating app again. He found I think a poker dealer in Pennsylvania. I think it was like a 2 hour drive away. She wanted to meet up. He showed me photos and she wasn't too bad. I said we should run a train on her. He declined saying that she was a good girl and that he really likes her. This was hysterical being that he just found her 30 minutes ago on a dating app. He takes off about 9pm to meet her and I just order room service calling it a night.

About 5am he shows back up saying the ***** was crazy and that she stole an earring from him. He says he met her at a bar, that all the guys in the bar knew her and were slapping her ass. He said she scratched the **** out of him during sex. She also asked where I was because she wanted to **** both of us. Apparently this wasn't the girl of his dreams anymore. We packed up an left about noon time. Steve made $900 profit on the trip and gave me back my $500. He pulled into a gas station to fill up and asked me for $20. I couldn't believe he was asking me for $20 after he made $900 on my coin and I took care of the whole stay. I'm so mad I almost hit him. He finally says he should't have asked me for $20 and we drive off. I abused him more about the 16 year old girl. We make a friendly wager about her age. I take 18 and under and he takes the over. Loser had to buy food at the our next stop on the way home. She sent a pic of her Diploma from 2 years prior. I accept the loss and buy Steve as much food as he can eat at McDonald's. He knew I was paying and I never seen him eat so many double cheeseburgers.

Interesting stories. There are a few things I really have to point out.

Despite being a HS drop-out, you seem to be of at least average intelligence. What boggles my mind is why are you getting arrested multiple times for stupid ****? Getting arrested for stealing, drunk-driving, selling drugs, etc. is respected degeneracy. But, getting arrested for fighting, flashing your penis, resisting arrest, etc. is embarrassing.

Here is a simple tip for you: don't buy used POS flashy cars. Just get a newer reliable car that blends in with the other cars on the road. You'll never get pulled over even if you're drunk (use cruise control), and you'll be able to continue being a degenerate because you can always drive yourself to the casinos.

This feedback comes off somewhat unpleasant. Starting off by pointing out that I am a HS drop-out. Then qualifying stealing, drunk-driving, & selling drugs as respectful. You also grade my intelligence as average. I don't seem to understand how you respect stealing and drunk driving, but frown upon resisting arrest. All of my arrests are embarrassing looking back at them. As my disclaimer states I don't approve of any of my actions. I'm here to contribute my personal experiences. I have never been arrested for stealing BTW. It's not one of my go to plays. Also resisting arrest is almost an automatic charge in any arrest while the perp is under the influence. In a degenerate lifestyle fighting comes in to play more than you may think. Maybe your not familiar and have never fought. But is still funny that you think stealing>fighting. As far as "flashing my penis" I clearly stated that I was ashamed of that. But it wasn't like I was trying to be a pervert. Was obviously claiming IDGAF while drunk. You also not understanding how someone with "average intelligence" could be getting arrested is boggling to me. Many criminals are smart. But everyone makes mistakes, and I've made plenty. I've also got away with a ton. I think I'm running really good for EV of jail time I should have done. Then to top it off you are giving me car/transportation advice. It was obvious in my story that I am aware my BMW purchases have been a mistake. I have never been pulled over in any of my BMW's BTW. Majority of the time it has been a brand new non-flashy car. Then the real kicker is you have DUI's solved with simply cruise control. At the end of the day I'm just here to contribute my experience's. If I could go back in time and do the right things I probably would. But I can't and sure as hell have had a good time not doing the right thing. Cheers

i have never subscribed to a thread ever on 2+2...until now. you are a legend sir.
06-08-2014 , 04:02 AM
I just have to contribute and give props to OP saying this is easily one of the best reads I've had on 2+2 and the internet in general for that matter.

OP I had to get sober a couple years back but before things got unmanageable in my life, I grew up (call it bad influences or whatever) doing degenerate hoodrat ****. Fighting, banging tons of girls, dealing drugs and hustling, general debauchery, constant legal problems and keeping a step ahead of the cops..it was all in the name of what my friends and I considered our brand of fun. I'd like to say as a group we were a smart bunch, just missing that chip in our brains that should have told us "no, that's a bad idea". We still held to a moral code and there were lots of lines we wouldn't cross.

It's impossible to explain or argue with someone who doesn't have the same view on things, in the sense that the person arguing the counter perspective is right. If I ever have a kid he/she will NEVER go down the road I did, because I know the price that comes with it. I'm glad I paid that price bc it made me the (much better) person I am today, but my kid for damn sure isn't going to. That being said, I wouldn't have changed a thing from my formative years.

I don't want to sound too much like a nuthugger so I'll just leave it at that we have a lot in common. I live in NYC and don't drink now but if you're ever in the area or want to take a casino trip let me know.

It sounds like you emerged fairly unscathed considering the trouble you could have gotten into, and you also sound like you've grown up since some of these stories.

Keep em comin, and stay out there on the dirty boogie for the rest of us. You're a damn good writer, a smart guy, and have entertained the hell out of a lot of us. It's much appreciated.

WarmDeck,
Since you don't have a job what is stopping you from selling your house and moving to Las Vegas? It is a degens paradise out there. I noticed none of your degen stories take place in Vegas, have you ever been out there?

The roots hold me back from making a move like that. Amazingly I have never been to Vegas. That would be my paradise. It's been tough to actually find someone to commit to plans to go out there with me. Plus the highs and lows of life held me back sometimes. Being in and out of problems so much, has limited my travel options. I'm also not even certain I would survive that trip lol. Considering how hard I go on Indian Reservations. But I'm sure I will be making that trip at some point. Hopefully soon.

Also SHOUT OUT to everyone who took the time to post positive feedback.

I find it refreshing and comforting to read the honest exploits of a fellow degen. OP doesn't use his creative license to bolster his image; he just tells it like it is.

After 3 years going from Walplole>Concord>the Max and finally being thrown out into the streets from the hole bc of Annie Dookhan (thanks again, Annie!), its great to hear stories ringing bells from my past. OP, different county, but I'm sure we know some same guys that were upstate (not good to mention itt of course). Keep on Keepin on!! Just be aware of statue of limitations stuff and that of your enemies, some of them are rats.

But keep the stories coming! At the risk of being the most unpopular guy in thread, I almost want to recommend spacing them out so you don't run out of material, but Im hoping you have enough to keep us entertained for a while lol.

I didn't mean to come off sounding like an A-hole. Just trying to give some advice and hope for your sake that I don't read any more "I was in jail for fighting, etc." stories. I mean, you said it yourself: some of the stuff you did is embarrassing. Going to jail for high-risk, no-reward behavior is a definite no-no in my book.

You can take my car/driving tips or leave them. But, you should research the reason why most people get pulled over. It's not because they're driving 10mph over the speed limit in a newer honda civic. I can tell you that much.

It's pretty obvious your stories are filled with tons of behavior that most people consider unacceptable. I'm just saying these two things are unacceptable. In my book, no one should be in jail for fighting, etc. (unless the person you fought killed your family or something), and everyone who can afford a car & insurance who doesn't drive black-out drunk should be able to drive.

Good luck.

Ya I wonder if we do know some of the same guys. A sharp buddy I hit the casino with alot told me a story about a guy he knew, that got brought into court from the hole and turned down a cop out of like time served to dodge the subsequent offender guilty finding.. But got case dismissed a couple weeks later and walked mid-sentence or so.. Pretty boss like to turn down plea coming out the hole and having to go back.. If this is same guy.. Anyway I'm trying not to sweat the info I've divulged.. A grow house and driving without a license would make one hell of a cold case lol.. But glad you've enjoyed them and I still have some more gems and a stockpile of decent stories.. I have been shipping them out pretty fast and will most likely slow down anyway. Either way, good thing your out, more time to degen it up...
