I been kinda small degen for last 6 months.First i discovered poker i deposited like everyday 10$ 20$ and so on for 2 months.Played for months in prima network.Playing NL10 PLO running like god to roll 200$.Then blew it all up with 1 hour tilting in tournaments and sit and gos.Now 14 days ago i made deposit to PokerStars.I was doing really well,i made 50$ deposit and played NL5 full ring i was going good with 11 days i was having roll 200$.So i moved up to NL10.played with 20buy ins bankroll maganment it was the first time i ever played with br managment so i was going good.But looks like that gambling thing is like a disease or narcotics or smthing like this.So i played 3 days of NL10 FR i ran to 260$.then one day i was playing really bad and fell down to 180$ or smth.i was totally life tilted.I played no blinds increased Hu-s about 3 of them 55$ buy in and lost them all.Aaa,wait 2 of the,m was 55$ buy in and the last one i but my last cents 33$ into no blinds increased HU.I played that for 3 hours my opponent was tilting me as hell.So i fell asleep on the comp it was kinda late here also like 2am and i was going to work next day.anyway i have lost like 1-1.5k$ during last 6 months which is very big ammount of money for me cause living in small city and its normal monies here in a country like this.I mean alot of to lose not just to earn.Aslo i losed one time my whole one work paycheck in triobet.I was totally screwed never feeled so abd when i losed all one month work withing 3 hours.
Now i feel very depressed losing my whole roll with 2 hours.But i feel a little better reading this thread and knowing im not only one here.And as i see some ppl talk about thousands of dollars losing on hours.so im nothing compared for others,but still its a bunch of cash for me.

you need to go back to that guy, and get your money, plus his. maybe 3k isnt a lot of money to you, but it is to me, and i would certainly understand the basic rules of the game were i betting this much. any bowling ball that enters the gutter is a "gutter ball". if its on the first ball, you reset the pins and roll for a spare. if its on the second ball, its counted as a zero for that ball, and you move to the next player (score for that frame is whatever they got on the first ball).

so after my home game a few nights ago, a friend of mine was stuck for about $1100 on the night. And he owed someone around 400 for spotting him. We decided to go back to someones apartment at 5am and play beerpong for 20 bucks a head. games bumped up to 40, then 50, then my partner and i played my friend for $100 a game per head. lets just say he owed people more money in his last ditch efforts to get unstuck by playing beerpong.

I once played in a 30 Pound Rebuy, made the final table, wore a ski mask and was eliminated from the tourny when there were 4 ppl left and i was chip leader. oh, i was also banned from the casino cus im a moron.

Once a friend of mine who's a complete broke moron called me and my friends to get our home game going (not at his place of course because at the age of 33 he ain't got any). Said he'd'be there "in 2 hours" and asked us to start the tournament and let his blinds go.
So we get together and start playing and his stack windles down so after a few hours we try to call him but he's not answering his phone. Instead we get a weird machine answering in German
. He finally gets there at 4am and looks really tired, about 14 hours after he'd called me.
As it turned out, he had actually called us from Germany and thought he could hitch-hike to Paris, France in time to play the tournament with a decent stack, when it's actually like 7 hours when you actually own a car. Not really degen but we got a good laugh out of that story

last Thursday I went play a home/club game...We had $600 My wife and I. I mainly went becasue I owed ppl money the wife didn't know that though at the time. I paid the $100 back I had $140 to play needless to say I lost it. Now my wife is completly against me playing for money again so my new idea is to deposit $100 practice BR management.
So hopefully I learned something from that experience and get my gambling act together. Oh yeah and the few months before that I was up about $1200 but she isnt a Gambler and cant appreciate it. I guess I cant really blame her becaue of my lack of BR management skills

What was about as funny is one of our friends swore, even in the din of a Superbowl Bourbon Street crowd, that he "heard" it happen from about half a block away.

i started palying 1 year ago, some relly nice guy send me 100 bucks to play, i ran to the tables i made about 1200, the next day i was in the 500 1 million guaranteed, lost it, and lost everythin in the nezt week, since the i stole my mom credit card and put 100, then 200, then 100, then 200, until i was 3000 in debt, sshe caught me, i told her i was going to pay her, but i havent. i skip classes from time to time, go to the casino, put 20 on some dozen, lose and im out, sometimes i bet on sports, i have like 100 tickts on my room, i still live with my parents, im 20 with 0 dollars to my name, im a donk at college also.

I had this hotrun in cashgames and live tourneys (never played online by then) and had the sickest run ever, made close to 100k€ playin 5/5 5/10 and 10/20 and some tourneys througout europe in only 3 months.

One night this idiot (not because he beat me but just because he is, he is nice tho) beats me in a 1000bb pot (at 5/5, max bi = 200bb) with his Aces making a backdoorflush to my set
he gets up and walks upstairs to the roulette comes back 5 mins later sits down and is quiet.

Im playing a cool 2k again (sucked someone out i guess) and tell him to sit down with 5k, and he says he lost it all.

I get like a blackout or so, run upstairs with the 2k and decide to make it 7k to get the money back on roulette/blackjack.

I end up winning like 1k on roulette, but that goes way to slow so I go to the blackjack.

I play 100 euro bets on 7 boxes and run it to 5k, and decide to play my final hand (I have somewhat of a brain), but decide to play 200 a box (so 1400 total starting bet)

i get Aces on two boxes and decide to split em both, rest is fine, after all the cards are dealt down im like 17-20 on all of em

I get to split 5 aces on 1 box and the aces on the other box so i get to put another 1k on the table, the bank has an 8
i get 9 8 7 7 6 4 or so, and cant get other cards because of the Aces split.

The bank pulls a 8, so ideal for me, and pulls a 5 = 21
so Im back to break even on gambling

I decide to put the 2k on two boxes and double up, after 2 more rounds Im on 3k and decide to quit, im like Fk it im up for the day gambling is gay

I meet some of my friends down at the pokerpit and they wanna party, so we go to some party, have fun, I spend like 1k on booze etc. cause they were some poor mofo's

I get wasted etcetc, last thing I remember is talking to the cutest girl ever working there telling her I was 24, only being 19 back then (20 now)

Next thing, Im waking up on the floor of my appartment in the spare room I never use myself, only used by friends if they need a place to crash, and my wallet is empty

I have no ****in clue what happened, but I ended 3k down for the day

At Turning Stone in upstate NY, I once turned 200 into $23,000 on a blackjack run over 24 straight hours of play. Went to my room, passed out, woke up in the morning, sat down and was broke within 2 shoes.

Once at Foxwoods I ran $2,000 into $91,000 in craps in 5 hours or so. For some reason got sick of playing craps, played 5k a hand blackjack on 3 spots, lost every hand save for one blackjack for 5 minutes or so until i was down to $6,000. Threw the $6,000 on black, lost of course and drove home.

At the Wynn this past summer I got talked into playing 25/50NL with 100 ante on the button against a bunch of LA pros, Duthie and Booth. Bought in for $10,000, cashed out for $32,000, walked to the craps table, put $25 on the line, point was 8, threw $32,000 across on the board, threw a 7 right back.

At the 2008 WSOP I got into event 7 ($2k NLH) through one of their $225 satellites, won it, cashed for $7k in the event, sat at a 10/25NL game, got up to $15k, played some Baccarat at MGM, got up to $90k or so which I took to Bellagio and lost within the hour on craps.

My overall summer estimate was +$200k in cash and tourney poker, -$300k in craps, baccarat and blackjack.

I once was playing cash games and tournies in AC at the Tropicana. I intentionally left the credit cards and atm card at home so as not to overspend. I busted out after 40 hours of play straight threw. Went to the bus lobby and laid down to wait and hour and a half for my bus with my cell phone and bus ticket in hand. I woke up as the bus honked to back out and was pulling out and my bust ticket and cell phone were no longer in my hand. I was penniless in AC and someone had even stolen my cell phone and bus ticket right off of me while I was asleep. I had to call my brother to wire me money so I could get another ticket and go home. I felt really stupid.

I keep coming back to this thread and every story is great and has a familiar ring to it and I realize its because my list of degen stories is as long as your arm. Like: Broke in AC and lost a shoe (literally- walked into a casino from boardwalk with one shoe on); Spending my last $20 to enter a blackjack tournament in Vegas to try and win enough $$ to get home . . .

How I'm not life busto after those years is beyond me.
