A few of my ****tier days, not large sums, but def sucked.

1. 18th birthday, step into casino playing $5 blackjack and win about $100. I'm hooked. Go home to sleep, wake up and empty bank account. -$2000

2. Deposit $50 to some online casino. Run that up to $3500 playing Spanish 21. Take girlfriend out to dinner, come home and fire up computer, maybe 10 minutes later account is broke.

3. Bring about $2500 to casino planning to play smaller like $10 blackjack. Lose $500 of that very shortly. **** You. $1000 bet, get 11, double and pull an 8, dealer gets 20. Eat a dick. I'm only putting this in because it's the most I've laid down a on single hand of BJ before.

4. Never drive a far distance to a casino if you are a degen. That's the best advice I can give. The drive home is like licking your grandma's snatch. So... drive about 2 hours to casino with about $200 on me. Down to my last $40 bucks. Gotta turn this around. Run that up to a few hundred and switch tables. Get money up to like $600 and I'm like I gotta find a fun table. Walk around a bit, see this loud $25 min table. I sit down, whole table is sitting around $300-500 stacks. After 2 shoes, we all have over $5k. They all leave. I don't and dump it all back.

5. Friend calls me up, wants to hit up casino. We go out there, drop maybe $100 a piece and go home. Next day I'm sleeping and doorbell rings. Friend is like after I dropped you off last night I went back out there and dumped $500 into some random slot and hit $3k. Let's go back. I'm broke around this time so I dump another $100 and lose, but I watch him slip hundred after hundred into some 500k progressive until it's all gone.

6. Need groceries so I'm driving to store, on my way back, some whore runs a stop sign and t-bones me. Call my ****ty job and tell them I'm not coming into work tonight. ********** says I'll need a note from the doctor if I'm going to miss the next day too. This isn't third grade and to **** off I tell him. Call up my friend to come pick me up and we go pick up my girlfriend as well. We go out that night. We all go over to his place, but I need to **** this night and I don't have any condom. I'm afraid of my girlfriends possible disease at the time stfu. I walk my happy ass to the gas station, it starts pouring.

Next day whores insurance company looks at car and tells me I'll be getting x dollars. x dollars is about $3k more than I owe the bank. Sweet. To bring the story up to speed. I had moved out of my dad's place the week before because he was moving so I was staying at this friends house. Next day they first class this check. We head to casino. GOD DAMNIT. In span of two days, I lost my car, job, $3k and had no real place to live.

Drive out to casino and am playing some small stakes limit, but hit a BBJ table share for $2200. Toke the dealer $200 of that and leave the game. Drive back to original casino from earlier that day and proceed to lose the last $5k I have on me. Get home sometime around dawn the next morning. Have not been paid back that 4k as of yet and most likely won't.

Gambling addiction stories fascinate me... So crazy that the human brain can work like that and make people do all these completely irrational things. Why anyone would play higher than they can afford to lose at a -EV game like craps is beyond me.

I drive 6 hours 2 vegas with only 200 which I got from a cash advance and 7 packs of cigs for my friends weading. I'm stuck in vegas 4 three days because others road with me. I get totally **** faced within two hours and loose all my money at the first blackjack table I walk by on the way to dinner. My freind is fronting me my weading gift of 100 and I demand he gives it to me. I then loose this as well.

Now I have only 10 in credit on my only card which is not maxed out. I had to walk 30 mins to mcdonalds every morning to score a 1 double cheeseburger. I locked mysel in the room chainsmoking everyday until its time to leave. I missed all the weading festivities which worste of all included a free meal. I have never been soo hungry and tired in my life.

A few weeks ago I won 39k in 5 days. Cashed out 19 k and then It culminated with punishing John D'Agastino for 3 buy ins, 12k in HU HORSE 1/2 on FTP. It ended at 2 or 3ish

5 hours and 20k later, I stumble to bed at 8 or 9 and one of my favorite limit players hopefully is in a higher tax bracket. 4 dollars left.

Sigh.

Degen Variance: The worst I've ever run in HU limit poker at any limit was -65BB/100 over around 200 hands. Obv this was at my highest limits 200/400. FML.
