Don't really want to go into that many details, just want to say that I had one of my biggest losses on BJ a week ago. Absolutely brutal. I ended up losing two times where I split/resplit and double, none of them getting anywhere near 17 and dealer fails to bust.

Also somewhat funny story at the end of the night/early morning. I kept running so incredibly ridic bad that on every 10/11 when doubling I kept yelling 2!!! I had at least 10 or so doubles in a row where I had 10/11 and got a 2 or a 3, dealers could not believe it either and the dealer would simply NEVER bust.

Hands like 6 for dealer, obv draws 7 and 8 for 21. Worst tilt I had in my life, not life changing money but can easily say it would be a pretty huge amount for a normal person, the amount I managed to burn through in one night.

Edit: always makes me so incredibly sick after such a huge loss to look at the converted value of money lost. While at the tables live or online it is easy to bet/lose/win. You do not mind doubling down (and possibly losing) 11 vs a 5 for loads, but the next day it obv hurts even more thinking back at it and imagine how much nice stuff you could have bought for that money.

I've lost over $170,000 in the last 3 years at our local casino and online roulette. ONLINE ****ING ROULETTE. I used to crush PLO online. When I went to the casino, I'd bring $40 and play a few hands of blackjack. Double my money, get a few drinks and leave, or lose it all, get a few drinks and then leave, no problem. And then I played roulette one time. I don't know what that game does to me, but it is the ****ing devil. Nothing in my life has made me lose control as much as roulette does. It ****ing sickens me.

Nowadays I can never put money online, as I'll torch it on roulette. It always leads down that road. This time would be different I told myself. I would put on $2,000, 40 BI of 50PLO. Grind, grind, grind. Get things going again. Start actually having spending money. My goal was $10,000. I reached my goal in 3 weeks. I wasn't playing incredible PLO, I was just on the biggest sun run of my life so far. My BR hit $3,000 and I took a shot 2 tabling 100 PLO. I ended one table at $1670, and my second table at $930. Smashing every flop in 3b/4b pots, hitting perfect turn cards floating, backdoors, everything went my way. I hit $10,300 from $2,000 in three weeks.

I decided it was time for a 2 tabling shot at 400PLO. I instantly lost a buy in, no big deal. Lost the second buy in as a 93% favourite, and went berserk. I fired up roulette, shut it down.. only to load it right back up. $200 bet on third 12. Comes 32, sweet. I bet second 12, comes 18, sweet! $800 profit in two spins.

Two spins, I recouped my 2 BI shot. Hell yeah, what an awesome game. I start two tabling 400 PLO again, and honestly, played too loose, got myself in bad spots and whatever, lost it. Deserved to lose. Fired up the ol' roulette. $200 on first, plus $25 on 7 and 11. It comes 7! I'll remember it so well, no bounce, nothing. Just boom, 7. At this point my BR is at the highest it has been this deposit, awesome. Just one more spin, I feel like a roulette wizard. I put $500 on second 12, and $15 on 18, 21, 20, 17. Bang! 18! Unreal! I'm really on cloud 9 now.

Fast forward a bit, I'm at $22,880. Holy ****ing ****!! Three weeks ago I wanted $10,000, and that seemed like a pipe dream. Now I'm at $22,880, ****ing rights. I request a $5,500 cash out, and go playing on my merry way. No more ****ing roulette, I can stop forever with my $13,000 roulette win, right? Screw all the losses. Mhm.

I get brave and try 5/10 PLO and decide if I get below $15k I'll quit. Hell yeah this is my time, time to sun run again, the sky is the limit. I haven't had this much fun in online poker in years, roulette has always ruined it. There's some swongs, I'm up a little, down a little.. mostly even. Lose a couple big pots, I'm at $15k.

Fire up roulette. I put $1500 on second 12, and then take it off. What the hell am I doing? $1500 is a lot of money, three weeks ago I was dreaming of $10,000. I'll just quit for the night. I stay to watch the spin, and it comes 16. ****!! My ****** roulette mind engages, me being a pussy cost myself $3,000. I have to play now.

I bet $2,000 on second 12 this time. Lose. $1,000 on second, lose. What the ****. Okay I'll stop when I'm below $10,000.

I bet $1,000 each on second 12 and third 12. Lose. **** ME.

I play a bit smaller and am winning and losing, hovering around the $11,000 mark. I get tired of betting second and third 12, and decide it's time for colours. I bet $1,000 on black. Lose. $1,500 on black. Lose. $2500 on red, lose. $2500 on red.. ****ing lose. At this point I'm hysterical, breathing heavy, swearing at the screen, talking to myself, cursing the entire world. I load my entire balance on second 12. I feel my heart sink I already know I'm going to lose. I keep telling myself at least I'm up with the cash out. I load my entire balance on second 12. Loseeeeee.

At this point I'm freaking out trying not to punch my laptop, swearing, screeching, replaying the last hour in my head, replaying all the big hands in my head that it took me to get there. Thinking about how three weeks ago I would have killed for that money. And then I check my cash out. Pending. Cancel it. Fire up roulette.

**** the details, I inevitably lose it all. I feel like my head is on fire, I'm dizzy, I want to ****ing die. I don't know why I want this written down, I just do. Like once how much of a ****ing loser I am is out there, it'll convince me to stop this ****. Just ****ing stop. I torch $23,000 in an hour lol. Most of it in half an hour.

I can't win. Even when I win, I lose. I keep telling myself if I somehow just grind or bink a tournament, or this, that. No. I'll never win in gambling ever again. I'm ****ed. **** all of this.

I have to work in the morning, but its 3:25 AM and I'm going to go into a gambling induced depression half coma.

This happened during the most recent superbowl (patriots miracle comeback)

I had been running well during the playoffs winning about 150-200 a week. I know $160 isnt a big wager but thats what I had on the Pats -3. It was significant for me because I have bills to pay and was only working part time.

I get a solid pre-drink in while ive been in a $22 tournament for a couple hours and grinding up a stack. The game starts and its looking terrible right away, but I'm still building up a stack in the tournament so I'm not in the worst mood. Just keep guzzling booze and building a stack while watching the debacle of a game.

So we're approaching the bubble around the 2nd quarter and I'm losing my mind over the football game. I get into a hand maybe 5 spots from the money with the only guy at the table who has me covered. KK vs his QQ, we get it in on the 10 high flop and he binks the river.

2nd quarter ends, I'm so mad I say "**** Ladygaga" and decide to take the dog for a walk and maybe cool off some steam, but it was unlikely. Not only did I have money on the game but I'm a legit patriots fan and have followed the team since Brady's rookie season. I see one of those 'Slow down Children at Play' signs on someones lawn and decide to yell "HEY GOSTKOWSKI THIS IS HOW YOU KICK A FIELD GOAL" and punted it into their neighbours yard.

I make it back to my house without incident after this and its still half time. For some reason I buy into a $109 tournament and bust 3 hands in QQ vs AK.

The games on and the patriots are making the comeback. I think to myself if they some how win I can deposit again and be relatively even and be okay with it. So I put on $50 for live blackjack with the intention of playing $10 hands.

Things go decent at first im up to about 120. I lose a double down on 10 and hit 20, dealer drew a 5 card blackjack and this just sent me into a rage for some reason...probably the continuous flow of alcohol. I decide to bet $100 and bust.

Games still on and im wasted and still wanna gamble.

I was pretty disgusted for weeks afterwards and self excluded myself from live casino games. Having to wake up for work the next day was the worst feeling and not cause I was hung over. I just kept thinking of how long it would take me to earn back what I lost.

I was mad that I thought the Patriots were going to lose as well as the money I bet on them. Proceed to lose around 1k trying to win the $300 I thought I wasn't going to win, then won it and lost it anyways. Also was so angry I couldn't enjoy the best superbowl ever.

I read this thread while at work and I notice that you trash other people's stories. I dont get it, maybe contribute your own story if you think other people's aren't worth reading.

You think because 1k isnt a lot to you that what i did wasn't worthy of being labelled Degen? The dollar amount doesnt matter, its how much youre betting in relation to what you have that makes it degen. At the time of my story 1k was probably 1/3 of the money to my name on top of only having part time work, its a significant **** up.

2 weeks ago I did the almost the same thing but I have a much better job and full time hours this time around, I still consider it degen but not as painful or funny. It reminded me of my superbowl story which is why i posted it 4 months after the fact.
