Biggest casino bet ever, close to 10k USD on Player om Baccarat = Won that one
Biggest sportsbet, 11k on Vikings ML vs Atlanta last season.
Biggest pot in poker, 11,9k 25/50 shot on PLO. A873, 287 flop, A turn and get it in against open ended and flushdraw, 7 river.

So had good luck on biggest bets.

my most recent and worst big bet loss was after heavy gambing for almost 24 hours straight. I had started the night intending to bet a total of around 500-1000 max. But i lost 1000, then 2000, then won alot back on Mississippi Stud, getting dealt pocket rockets and pulling a full house for $1400 win. I went up and down, but finally at the end of seriously around 24 hours of straight gambling, smoking weed, and drinking I find myself with 3 green chips left of over $3000. I say **** it, bet it all at BJ. I won, i bet 150, i won. I bet 300 and win. Usually I would quit now, but being down 3000, i know if i stop betting big and just bet 25 ill still lose it all. So i bet 300, win. I say one last time, and bet 600. I win again, getting nice hands like 19 20 but no blackjacks. So now i got 1200, the dealer changes, the cards are waiting. Its a auto shuffler at Mohegan Sun pocono downs. Im sweating some, high drunk and exhausted. But full of energy for one more big bet. I casually slide a 6 inch stack of green quarters out. 6 5=11 me, dealer 5. Double down i annouce, and shakily slide a equal 600$ stack out leaving me with not even one dollar in front of me. I tap the felt, the next card is a 7 for 18. Dealer turns a queen, and looked at me with a look i'll never forget, it was like I'm so sorry ahead of time, but your ****ed, and pulls a 4 for 19. Just by one, just a ****in lousy one number, all day i got a face when i hit with 12-16, but now just a lousy 7. $1200 gone in seconds.

Gross, SF.

Nitpick: 600 in chips isn't even close to six inches. I always think of a stack (20 chips) as pretty large, but in reality its the length of my thumb. Less than 3 inches.

My biggest sports bet, poker pot, and loss all came in one night. My wife was out of town for something so of course I get a 12 pack and bottle of scotch. I fire up Bovada and put $1500 on Redskins/Eagles over (back in 2012 when RG3 was good). Game goes over by something like two TD's.
12 pack is gone, I'm pumped and ready for more action. Take my winnings to 5/10 PLO, open the bottle of scotch and lose 2 buy ins in about half an hour. Buy back in with my last $1k. Obviously I'm pissed I lost all my sports bet winnings and then some. Played like a maniac to get about an $1,800 stack. Get AJ109 double suited I get it in on KQx flush draw board against trip K's and turn a straight, river holds for a $3,600 pot. I feel like God and move up to 10/20.
Last thing I remember is the sun coming up and me losing my last $2k when Aces rivered trips against my flopped trip 10's. Finished the bottle of scotch, called out of work and passed out. Fun night. Wife never found out.

As long as you were ok with losing the 1500 sounds like you had an action packed night. Love drinking and online gambling but man is it a recipe for disaster. Add in some coke or adderall and I'm playing til the credit cards stop working.

Quick update- lost 1400 over the weekend in AC. Decided to throw 300$ on betfair ( legal NJ site ) last night with 100% deposit match to play some slots. After about 2 hours I played thru the rollover requirements and had 1100. But that wasn't enough, I had to make back the 1400 I lost in AC. So I moved to 3 card poker and was betting 30 a hand. Next thing I know I'm down to 700 real fast. Fire up my fav slot 50 lions and get a bonus betting 5$ a spin and win 670. Still don't quit and place a 30$ bet on blackjack. Lose. 60 bet, lose, 120 push, 120 double down lose, 240 lose, table max 500 push with a 20. 500 again lose with 19 as dealer was showing a 6 had a 4 underneath and pulled a face. This is when I kinda lost it. I have a semi weird ritual to rip whatever shirt I'm wearing right down the middle like the hulk. I then proceed to start punching a pillow in a fit of rage and miss and hit the back of the couch. My wrist starts to swell and I know I've messed it up. I make my way back to the laptop and see I have around my original I deposited left, like 318 or something... I decide to smoke some green and pop a few xanex to calm down before I play again. This is something I rarely do while playing online. Normally I would just fire another 300 on BJ and lose. But I actually got some ice put it on my wrist and hung out for about 30 minutes.

I planned exactly how I was going to play the remaining $ left, 50 lions at 10$ a spin.... I was doing ok and got it to about 500 without a bonus and then hit a super dry spell and was down under a 100 bucks... I hit a normal spin for like 90 bucks and finally decided to use the "gamble" feature. This online casino lets you chose red or black on any slot win to double your money ( they must pry on degens )... Black - win - 180 Black - win- 360 Red win 720..... And everyone knows what happens next I say there with the screen blinking for about 2 mins contemplating what to do, I let it ride and chose red again and lost. Lost the remaining money in one spin of roulette...

So back to my response to SKYHIGH... Yeah I got a ton of entertainment out of my 300 but I was so close to cashing out.. Degens gonna degen.

This was actually when my wife just went back to school full time so the $1500 was pretty significant. Luckily I control the finances and she never suspected anything. All of my significant losses have been fueled by alcohol. Only one time did it work out in my favor. Got black out drunk on 1L of Crown Royal, woke up with $8k in my account. Didn't remember playing one hand. Looked back in my history, deposited $1k and ran it up in 5/10 PLO.

Bet on an NHL game and stay up all night watching the game. The losing team ties the game with 10 seconds remaining. Tilted by this "suckout", proceed to make a hail mary bet (Blackhawks to win Sharks 6-1 or something like that), or play ******ed online casino games like virtual horse racing or some ****. Repeat x1000. Weeeeeeeeee.

2001 Trip to Vegas from California. Lost 8.8K on Sunday night NFL football game Arizona Cardinals versus Denver Broncos. 4K on first half and 4K on second half. Image from this game is idiot Arizona coach Joe Bugle jumping up and down on the sideline waving his arms (full circle like a clock) at the end of the first half trying to get his team to rush up and spike the ball and stop the clock...lol.

Sunday, September 23, 2001

Denver Broncos (8-8-0) 0 17 14 7 38
Arizona Cardinals (7-9-0) 3 7 0 7 17

Wake up Monday, sell some stock, wire to bank, go to bank, get 10K. Play the Washington Redskins with Jeff George plus 9 points against Green Bay, on Monday Night football.

Packers shut out reeling Redskins - ESPN.com

sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=210924009
9/24/2001. 0 Shares. Email ... (AP) - ... The Packers routed the Redskins 37-0 Monday night.

That was Jeff George's final game. He never took another snap in the NFL...lol.

Washington released George on the heels of a 37-0 Monday Night loss to the Green Bay Packers. After the game, George had a 34.6 passer rating, ranking last in the NFL

Drive back to California, gather my thoughts, sell some more stock, wire to bank, go to bank, get 18K. Drive back to Vegas and play $17,600 to win $16,000 on Pitt Panthers plus 28 against powerhouse number one ranked Miami Hurricanes on Thursday night football on ESPN.

Pitt down 26 (40-14) with 1.18 left and Miami coach Coker sends in field goal unit instead of running it out (or courtesy run into the line). Kick is good, from a reasonably long at the time 38 yards (no reason to kick there). I am sitting at Caesars Palace away from everybody in the racebook. The announcer Lee Corso goes: "Oh My Goodness" or something to the effect, knowing that the kick covered the spread. A guy from over on the sportsbook side (at the time), let's out a "Haaaaaaaaaaaaa" kind of laughing that they would kick. I am stunned. Miami 43 Pitt 14. Pitt plus 28 is gonna be a loser. Wow. Pitt gets the ball back with just over a minute, down 29, and I am on the verge of losing another 17.6K, for one of the great bankroll blowouts of all-time for me.

So Pitt drives the ball a bit during that last minute and is down 43-14 with 21 seconds left (down 29, getting 28, gonna lose this), and it is 4th down, but they are at the Miami 20 or so. The other announcer Mike Tirico goes: "Perhaps the final snap", and the Pitt QB goes back to pass and throws it over the head of a Pitt receiver in the end zone to end the game. Incomplete.

But wait, Miami redshirt freshman Sean Taylor launches himself into the receiver's head after the ball had already flown over his head and landed and they throw a late flag and put the ball 1st and goal at the 3 yard line. Sean Taylor died a few years ago (Redskins player). Looked like a questionable call, but it gave me life.

First play from scrimmage Pitt QB Rutherford take the snap and makes a nifty semi bootleg and lunge to the end zone (game over if stopped on the play). Extra point is good (not that it was important), and the score is now 43-21. I am now covering, but there are still 15 seconds or so left. Miami was just the type of team that would try to run back the onside kick that I knew was coming. First of all, why even onside kick it? But they tried the onside, and I never was so nervous in my life of having something so highly improbably happen to me. I mean, the odds had to be thousands to one that Miami would run that squib kick back. Most would think it was over, but I sweated it. Pitt tries the on sides, and Miami tries to grab it and run, but Miami gets stopped.

Now I am sweating them running a play up the middle for a score with 10 seconds left. I mean, if you are going to kick a 38 yard field goal with 1.18 left while up 40-14, why not run it in on me for the worst beat of all time? Can't remember if they ran it up the middle or took a knee, but it was finally over and I got even for Sunday and Monday. 43-21 final. Winner.

Here are the highlights that I found online a few years ago. They show the late field goal that put the dagger on me, and they showed the pass interference that gave me life. They didn't show the Pitt QB running it in though, but you can see that it happened by the score changing. It was unbelievable to go through. Wow.

It is still the biggest bet I ever made, and since I won it, I figured I would not go down that road again. I can say that I won my biggest bet ever, and it was one helluva journey. Here it is.

If you go to 9:43 of this clip (clip just 11 minutes long, so watch from 9:40 or so), it shows the field goal that almost ruined me, and then it shows the 4th down attempt by Pitt that was incomplete and about to make me a 100 percent loser with under 20 seconds left. Then the flag comes in (bad call, too).

On the field goal Lee Corso is talking about the point spread. He says: "Do you realize this?". Then, as the kick goes through he goes "Oh my goodness". Brutal sweat. The 4th down incomplete was the 4th in a row from inside the 20 (saved by the roughing call). That was my last shot. These are the types that you have to come out the right side on in life, or else you can be haunted every time you see these players and coaches. I still hated Miami Coach Larry Coker for quite a while after that, and rooted against him until he quit coaching, all because he sent in the field goal unit with just over a minute left up 40-14 (and it wasn't even a chip shot). He for sure knew that Miami boosters bet the game. This team was one of the all-time great Miami teams, so coaches were well aware of the spread.
