Refusing to pay good players, signing guys who are past their prime about to retire, drafting garbage players who no one has ever heard of so they don't have to pay contracts, consistently trading away their best players, rigging fake deals to make it look like they are trying to win when they aren't.

The Clipper organization is a big scam. Bernie Madoff has got nothing on Donald Sterling.

Last year during the WSOP i was in vegas for the first time in a house with a couple degenerate friends. At this time i'm a 400nl grinder with like 30k to my name. Friends were in about the same situation.

I don't remember why but a couple days in i decide i want to flip for 1k. I lose and decide i want to flip for 2k. I lose and decide i want to flip for 4k. I lose. I say to myself no more gambling i'm just gonna grind online.

Soon after my friends start doing flips again. This time like $100 a hand. (13 card stud ftw) I joined obv. After awhile we were like **** this and upped the stakes to like $250..then $500 with bonuses (like we each had a card and if someone else got our card they'd give us $100 or something). Eventually we got to like $2500 a hand with bonuses. We also played some chinese...up to $1k a point. We only did that for ~20 hands though..mostly we played $500/point

Anyway we just kept score the whole summer and i ended down $60k. Which i'm just now starting to pay back because i went on tilt when i got home and lost most of my BR. oh and i also bubbled the main event. good times.

I lost 50k in a day.

In relative terms my story is pretty degen. Basically became a student abut 2 years ago. Got first ever overdraft etc

Started playing roulette online. Was winning consitently. Went from £0 to about £250 in a couple of days betting numbers. Also played 3 card poker at the casino. Lost a bit, then hit AAA for about £220. lost a lot of it back, then hit 2h,3h,4h for about £300. After this i was on about +£600. A LOT of money relative to my circumstances.

Running so good at roulette i obv keep playing. Except, for some reason i change from betting numbers to betting on the outside. With some pathetic strategy of doubling my bet when i missed (strategy people try and sell on the internet!) Anyway. I end up losing 13 spins in a row. Im betting black, and there are 9 reds in a row then zero. Then 3 more reds. I literally have emptied my £600 as well as my whole overdraft on these spins. The 14th spin i have £200 of the banks money left, and a black comes in. Pretty close to breaking down im left -£700. Again, it might not seem a lot compared to other people. But to me, im a student, i eat beans out of can 3 times a week for dinner. Im f**king £1300 down in about 30 minutes.

A year and a bit later i only gamble on betting on football and golf, where ive got a huge edge relative to most betters. I grind at 25nl on FT. I'm like -£1000, which is pretty ok considering i was -£700 after a week of being a student.

The most tilting thing about my situation....my housemate claims to have pretty much figured out the number generator on an online roulette site. Well he can see specific patterns after about 50 spins. He makes probably £250 a week when he plays. He's about 5k up this year from that site. And i won't dare go near a roulette table ever again :/

Meh, kinda hate myself for doing it but will post on more, since I just drank my last bottle of JW Blue Label (brag?), and have nothing to do since I am a super busto fool.

One time I was really broke, and kinda homeless, I didn't have my own place, I just asked the people I knew to sleep at their place. I had zero cash, and ~60 comp dollars on the IP players card, which I could use only in the casino stores, cafes etc. So I went inside a restaurant and asked some guys to pay for their meal with my card for cash. Got $30 and went straight to the video poker machines. Put a $20 ran it up to $100 hit and running several machines. Went to play blackjack, won another $100 and decided to take a rest and go to watch movies at the Palms. Right after the movie went, played video poker and hit a Royal for 2k, was happy as a mother****er, next 6 hours were kinda blur, but I remember jumping from machine to machine table to table like I was on crack just gambling like there was no tommorow. I was going up and down but managed to leave the place with ~ 3.2 k, very proud of myself, lol.

So I decided to call it a day, rented an apartment and went to sleep. Next day I took my remaining $1000, and went to play some 2/5nl, was kinda pissed that there were no 5/10nl games running, cause I really though it was kinda stupid to play 2/5 when you have 1k. Won ~$300 and left with my busto friend I met in the poker room. We went to eat at the Harras sports book, I put my friend in a 4/8 limit game and went to play video poker myself. Then just started losing hundred after hundred, but on my 5th hundred I hit a royal for 4k on a $1 machine, ****ing awesome second royal in two days, life is goood. Cash out pull my bud out of the poker room, told him about my win and that it was time for some ganja, hookers and candy. We went and bought some candy and ganja of the mexicans who give out cards with hooker ads, and went to find us some nice chocolate babes to have a good time.

Next day went to play some 20/40 limit ran really well and won ~ $2k. Went to the $40/80 game and after loosing $1k quickly realized the game was kinda too tough, and left for a BJ table to play small just to drink, socialize and have fun. Sat down with $300 and started with $15 bets, but 4-5 hours later was sitting with a ~5k stack, I was on fire and betting from $100- $500, left the casino with 9k and change.

Next 10 or so days I tried to spend more time playing poker then the pit games and was doing very well winning around ~ $8k and was kinda proud with myself, but life just seemed to boring. I started spending more time gambling again, and gambled pretty much non stop for the next two weeks going down and up ~5k every day, I had breaks from gambling just for few hours of sleep,some ganja and hookers. Got my BR up to ~ 22k at the highest point, but then **** hit the fan, and I just stoped winning, the sick comebacks were not there anymore to save my BR, and I ended up losing 15k in one 50 hour marathon session. Next day went to the WU and sent 5k to my parents, figured they would have a better use for it, then me and spent most of the moneyon to pack my fridge with a lots of food and bought ganja and some clothes, for the upcoming busto times.

Last year during my WSOP trip I played so much craps that all of BBV yelled at me to stop.

I'm a winning poker player but sometimes I go a little nuts with BR management. I deposited $200 into poker more than 2 years ago and haven't put anything in since. Have withdrawn probably $25k. It's all been spent on life though. Had a $2k roll a couple weeks ago, but I lost half of it last week after taking suicidal shots at $128 hyper-turbo sats and running bad. All this in a desperate bid to build up enough cash to play in the WSOP again this year. Cashed out down to $200 to start over AGAIN, bottomed out at $120. Currently sitting at $320 grinding 6/45s. Should have 2k again within a few weeks. Will probably repeat this cycle... but will probably find somebody to stake me for the WSOP again, so it's all worth it.

Finally, an older (slightly) degen story:
Summer 2003. I, along with the rest of the country, was just getting into Hold 'Em, even though I didn't understand it at all yet and was only comfortably playing Limit. I was working for my cousin (he owns stylinonline.com) at the Comic-Con International in San Diego, part of a 5-week RV work/road trip. (Pretty crazy summer.) I find out about a local card room ("Lucky Lady" as I recall) and beg someone in the crew to drive me out there. No distinct plans on how to get back. I spend the whole day and night there, ending up about $400 ahead and feeling pretty proud of myself. The best part was that the homemade Asian food was half off for players. At the end of the night, I ask one of the random players for a 10 mile ride back to my hotel, and they (a husband and wife) oblige. I give them like 10 bux for their trouble and am grateful they don't take my cash and leave me by the side of the road. After a terrible night's sleep, I return to the cardroom the next day (via $25 taxi ride) and play/run bad, losing back almost everything. At least the food was still good...

Whats degen about this!?

P.s. why do people cash out to start over again.. you done once already why not play higher stakes until you plateau??? People who start again make no sense to me unless you have lost all your bankroll?

I go on heater of all heaters on Prima network abt 3 yrs ago, A few hands i remember, raising 24ss flop 356sss vs a10ss, calling BB w 45ss vs QQ flop 448, getting KK 3 times in a row in the BB, flopping set of Jacks vs AA and getting it in...in about 3 weeks im at 40k, but cant cashout on Prima, i finally hit doomswitch and cant win a hand...

I frantically email support everyday asking if theres anyway i can cashout, they say they are working on it...I go on uber tilt and a few days into my downswing im at 13k. I decide to sit at 50/100 nl, which ive never played b4. I sit w 3k hoping to double up then im done on this site...So my first hand ever at 50/100 i get none other than AA, Marc Karam is SB, folds to him, he makes it 350, i raise to 850, he calls , flop 842ss, he check raises me all in, i snap call he has A9ss, he hits flush, I buy in with my last 10k...Few rds in i get KK, Karam raises to 350, i make it 1200, he calls flop 952, he checks i bet 2500, he calls, im now almost ****ting my pants, turn 3, he checks i figure he has set but dont care and go all in for last 6k or so...he doesnt instacall, whew...he types in "AK?", i reply "NO" he types in "AQ?" i say "NO", his time bank is now counting down 3....2....1... he calls, river 9...i think ive lost to trips, but i get shipped the pot, he says he had TT. I myspace msg a dude from UK i met on PP but never met in person, I tell him im transferring 20k to him and for him to mail me checks, he says ok, Luckily he didnt scam me and i get 20k in checks a week later
