if uruguay draws i loose half my bet(1250€)which did happen

trying to bring some life back into this thread
when I turned 18 I got invited to take a trip to Turningstone casino coming from boston because it was the only 18 plus place.
we split a hotel room 4 ways stayed sat thru sunday. these kids weren't close friends of mine, but it was around the poker boom and the only kids I knew my age that were really getting into poker in my high school so more of acquantances I suppose
after winning 500 playing 1/2, I actually landed at the 2/5 table with this kid Eric who drove us. I was crushing this game with a stack of about 1500 starting only with my intial 200 buying. Eric was the star lacrosse player and kind off a cocky prick. he was belligerently drunk blowing 300 dollar max buyin one after another. he started on a heater early on and was up about 1k. then he was stuck around 1k in about 4 hrs and pulled out whatever cash he had left on him like 256 dollars lol. he ended up running that up to about 1100 when this happens
I get 109. I limp UTG two callers, Eric is OTB makes it 20, I call, one other calls, the flop comes 78Q rainbow. I check, other guy checks, eric bets 50. I call other folds
turn 6. wow, I check, eric bets 100, I raise to 350 and give him a look of utter confidence. he goes all in for like 700 ish. I snap and flip the nuts. he slams his QQ down as the river is a wonderful A. I tap the table and tell him sorry bro. he gives me a look like I ran over his dog
so I continue to play small ball poker and end up cashing out a few hrs later around 2800.
I return to the hotel room to find that my key doesn't work.. um like wtf. I go downstairs and the clerk tells me 3 kids checked out of that room an hr ago. of course the worst thought hits me. I just stacked this kid and he just straight up left me in Verona NY. of course no one picks up their cell phone. great. these dirtbags left me here.
the story has a happy ending as I offered my buddy Sebastian who recently lost his job 400 cash to drive 4 hrs to get me and 4 hrs back. at this point I was stranded and wanted to get home. I could've gotten away for 200 perhaps but I was so reverse tilted from profiting around 3k in about 30 hrs and realizing kids I thought were my friends totally abandoned me that I just forked it over. come to find out, Sebastian was so enthused with my offering, he actually blew off his own grandfathers wake to come and do this.
