Re: Which country produces the worst poker-players?

One fact that I find amazing is that Canada only got 1 vote.
Considering how many Canadians I run into on a daily basis that sure is surprising bc they have to have a playerpool that is comparable to Germany for example but I can't remember playing with one really awful Canadian in my entire pokercareer either.
Seems like Canadians know their stuff

Also no votes for Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and just one vote for Finland (not taking the Northern Europe-voters in account), that is a strong result for the Scandinavians.

Re: Which country produces the worst poker-players?

It's funny how most people mentioning countries producing bad players are the ones that lost a lot of money to players from said country(ies).

With that said, OP prolly lost a ton of money to Russians, otherwise he wouldn't be making this a pile of crap of a rant. Think about it. Did OP actually destroy Russians at Texas Hold'em and make this thread?

@ Vegasboy
I'm up decent amount of money vs. Russians, but I still think they are the worst. Mostly because of their retarded playing style.

I've been playing Poker since the Moneymaker boom and I honestly can't say which countries produce the best or worst players.

Some of the toughest players that I had to play against were young Asians. Then again some of the biggest payoff donks were also Asian (older).

According to most players on 2+2, American players would be the "best" players in the world because of their non-donk one-dimensional play. Bitch plz, I can read and outplay American players like an open book.

Then again, Asians and Americans are also the most populous in Poker while Europeans are the least populous.

Canadian Poker players > American Poker players hands down.

The toughest players to play against are the young dudes in the early/mid-20's, regardless of nationality. Because think about it, those at this age that did not absolutely crush the game did not survive (in the Poker world or in the real world). And I'm not talking about the 1/2 NL short-stackers.

To conclude, the worst players in the world would be Europeans, particularly Italians. I say that because these guys play with too much pride and don't know how to fold a hand. Do I say this out of frustration because Italians played terrible hands and cracked me? Absolutely not. I say this from a mathematical point in that they pay you off with hands that have little to no showdown value and overly bluffed missed hands when your line on the river is clearly check-call any. I think I have made most of my money off Italians and lost the most to young Asians.

I think New Zealand is up there. We have 4 million people. Yet who do we have thats decent simon watt a couple of decent online guys. a couple of cash players at 3/6 level online. There are tons of horrible nz fish playing 1 dollar mtts and sit and gos. If you compare us with netherlands which only has 6-7 million but has tons and tons of good players and Ireland which is the same size as us yet has tons of good players as well.

The casinos have ridiculous numbers of horrible players too. I think we are up there with Russia

This is true, never seen more than a couple of bad canadian players.
I think its because A lot of the info out there for new players in is English, AMericans are well, americans so they dont learn but for most other english speaking countries they seem to do well.
this goes for some eauropean countries too. Germany has some good players.

Seen some good chinese recently, allthough they seemed a little TOO robotic to me.
