I've been playing Poker since the Moneymaker boom and I honestly can't say which countries produce the best or worst players.
Some of the toughest players that I had to play against were young Asians. Then again some of the biggest payoff donks were also Asian (older).
According to most players on 2+2, American players would be the "best" players in the world because of their non-donk one-dimensional play. Bitch plz, I can read and outplay American players like an open book.
Then again, Asians and Americans are also the most populous in Poker while Europeans are the least populous.
Canadian Poker players > American Poker players hands down.
The toughest players to play against are the young dudes in the early/mid-20's, regardless of nationality. Because think about it, those at this age that did not absolutely crush the game did not survive (in the Poker world or in the real world). And I'm not talking about the 1/2 NL short-stackers.
To conclude, the worst players in the world would be Europeans, particularly Italians. I say that because these guys play with too much pride and don't know how to fold a hand. Do I say this out of frustration because Italians played terrible hands and cracked me? Absolutely not. I say this from a mathematical point in that they pay you off with hands that have little to no showdown value and overly bluffed missed hands when your line on the river is clearly check-call any. I think I have made most of my money off Italians and lost the most to young Asians.
