Dude, read boywonder's posts. He's the most well-intentioned, nice, brilliant guy on this forum. It's not a level and you should ***** for trolling him.

How long is your average session? Do you use any form of formal meditation?

Re: Brag: really beating the 6-max 1000 NL games

gg boywonder,

You say your emotional state is 80% of the work, i think youre right.
A while ago i checked my stats and found that every tuesday and thursday night my winnings are the highest (very big difference). Why then? because i had soccer practice and all negative energy (subtle tilt) is out of my system, i'm relaxed and my mind is sharp.

Bottomline for me, winning poker = thinking clear. The only way for me to get rid of tilt or subtle tilt is by handling these emotions well, for me working out seems to work perfect. I don't start playing poker anymore without a sharp, tiltfree mind, as its so -ev not too. (ofcourse i dont always need to workout before being sharp, im more concious of subtle tilt, when so i need to get rid of it).

When sharp, i can fold big hands correct, see when someone has outdawn me or even go as far as calling with Q high correct. You stated this in your last thread, and your 100% correct imo.

This is why i stopped playing large volume poker, and started all over (downswing + play bad = -30bi of 100nl) playing HU at 50nl, funding tourneys waiting for the big ship to take me to 100nl again -this time doing it right-, and hopefully go as far as you.

Something else, for a player with such a high concentration, and fast insight on your opponents, i figure you can kill tourneys. Have you ever considered tourneypoker for a go?

Thanks for your insight in your last thread, never said thank you i guess, cause you really really helped me .

(btw @soccer being aggresive in position is key to)

As usual, sorry for the bad english for everyone who reads this. Its getting better i guess.

So the trick is to raise less and call more? Like, the only reason you'd block out your PFR would be if it was extremely low..

Should've blocked out VPIP too instead.
