In my brief first trip to Las Vegas one night I find my self playing some $1-$3 cash game about 2 a.m. at the Rio in the big event center where all the cash games are being played....
A highly intoxicated man sits to my right...As you may know its hard to beat the drunk man because it being so hard to get a read off them most the time haha...
Anyways after hours of play at the table Im up about $100 and sitting behind I think like $400 or so when I pick up KJ off suit on the BTN and **** was about to get pretty interesting... 3 limpers including the drunk man to my right ..Action comes to me I raise to I think around $21 to isolate with the BTN with a decent hand..Every one folds ,but 2 players one being the drunk man to my direct right...The flop comes 3,J,5 rainbow (bink)... action goes check,check to me..I bet out I think $35 ...first guy folds .Then the drunk man that has me covered decides to check raise me to $85 all day...making it another $40 to call....I look for a read on the intoxicated mans face but cant get one....I decide to try something very out of the ordinary at this point in a hand where both players still have so much money behind them PLUS two streets of poker left to be played and I flip my hand face up , showing him my top pair with King kicker..Instantly I look for a read and it this point It very obv to me I have his ass kicked in the hand

I decide to just flat the re raise and put in the other $40 just because 1. I'm like 95% sure I'm super good, and 2. I had a pretty crazy kind of double reverse psychology theory that if you show some one your hand HU and they decide to ''Overbet'' the pot after they see your hand then that clearly means they are not trying to get value off there hand ,and are most def just trying to push you off your hand that beats them....
So to continue the story... At this point every one is like wtf is going on here lol.... The turn peels off a 2.. SO board reads 3,J,5,2.....Drunk man at this point with out any thought or tanking snaps in $155 for a bet....I start to re-evaluate my read ,but I want to see if my theory is right and I call after a brief tank.... River card brings a 7.....board reading now 3,J,5,2,7 and my hand being face up on the flop the entire time lol, The drunk man decides to go all in for my remainder like $180 give or take a few for me to call ....I tank which has got be like 5 mins and begin talking to him for reads and he doesn't give anything up...Then I ask him if he will show me if I fold and he says ''yea if you fold I will show you''....This is what finally made me call and which resulted in him instantly mucking his hand and me raking in the chips and the table was baffled on how I made the call haha....
So yea pretty sick way to get value out of your hand lol..... My theory makes pretty good logical sense and obv worked haha! If you got the balls try it and tell me how it goes!
