1. FTP runs the shortstackers to Pokerstars by the end of January
2. Pokerstars gets flooded with shortstackers
3. Pokerstars raises their minimum buy-in on their standard tables
4. Shortstackers either learn how to play a turn or they get a job at Burger King

It looks like you shortstackers got about a month left on FTP and probably a few more on Stars. Later, parasites.

My theory. This will probably be good for the game regardless, although I don't mind playing against bad shortstackers.

1. No way the serious shortstackers choose FTP cap games over Stars
2. No way a shortstacker could make a living off of cap games--without leeching off full stacks who are battling each other, they've lost their only real edge. The rake will eat them alive.

I was under the impression most shortstackers arent the serious/massive multitable/earn money kind. A lot of the serious ones are breakeven as it is and can likely continue to do the same in cap games while getting their precious rakeback in spades. All the non serious, and just plain fish, shortstackers, will conceivably either at least give cap a try, or stick around for a while and lose with 30 or 40bbs at fullstack ring games. But I don't think too many will instantly flock to stars so at least for a while, one way or another they're all going to be still on FTP, out of their element and very juicy.

If short stackers are such a huge problem, why arent more 50bb games running?

Re: BRAG: The beginning of the end for shortstackers

don't celebrate just yet. the update still won't come until the 2nd or 3rd week of january (lol at this bull**** after guaranteeing us it would be by the end of the year), but the "that's not all we're going to do" could easily mean they are going to open up some new backdoor for ss'ers to abuse in order to keep some of their business

cautiously optimistic.
