Couldn't sleep with all the snoring, couldn't resist the temptation to refresh this thread on my phone...
Am now in another room that has air conditioner blazing, noisy but much better than having to endure what sounds like people dying. Can't believe all these awesome posts and people actually sending me $$!!! I'm going to try and respond to all people that take the time to wish me well.

but yeah it's easy money - also, even mine was in London, the vast majority of subjects in my trial were aussies, kiwis and south Africans. Any reason you can think of for this??
Yeah I thought I might have been rejected from this study because of drinking and the occasional drag on a smoke/joint but luckily I made it through. And getting adequate meals provided free is definately not to be sneezed at, and for all the bagging I give it I don't mind the food at all

You should be happy to live in a diverse society where people from all around the world congregate. I hope you're not just making some crude national implications
I kinda worry about this too but I'm gonna go with the hope that no-one would feel the need to ruin this. This thread and you guys are making my day here. They wouldn't go through my laptop. Biggest danger would be if like, 25 days in I get all safari hunter and try to take snapshots of the nurses bending over or something

What's your biggest regret out of this, or do you think such an experience can be good for you....also do you regret starting on pokers
And the last....any chance of your spine recovering ?
Edit : Ok this is last, I forgot : did you try to flirt with the nurses, maybe there's a chance one lonely nurse will give in...you never know amirite
5* from me too btw
Awesome questions.
I have mixed feelings about what to do when I get my money. Part of me wants to have that 5k bankroll that I've dreamed of so I can play the stakes that I would take seriously (because I've degened around at 50c/$1 and $1/$2, it's hard for me to play correctly within my BR when facing a 3bet of 19 cents. My fault for starting out with no BRM)... on the other hand I feel like it would be idiotic considering what I allowed to happen to my savings. I'm going to think about this one.
I don't really regret anything. I am where I am and there are good things. This doesn't mean that I don't recognize the stupidity of my actions or that I haven't learnt from my mistakes. There are many positives about being here andhaving this opportunity. 42 days with no alcohol is a 10 year first for me, and I love it, even if I'm only like two weeks sober. I'm riding 10km's on the exercise bike EVERY DAY THAT I CAN WHILE IN HERE at an average speed of 40kmph in around 15-16 minutes depending on the level of resistance, because I really believe that one of the biggest factors for my mental wellbeing is being fit, so I am determined to achieve that. It's hard though because I'm not allowed to do this, so I have to wait until the day staff go home and I can take advantage of the ignorance of the night staff.
I don't regret poker. I am frustrated that I have made such a mess of it, but I'm accepting how inevitable it all really was, considering that I expected to play calm and rationally when there was nothing calm or rational about my life. I love PLO and I think it's a great game, extremely frustrating at times but I love it.
My physiotherapist believes that my spine will heal, as long as I stick to my schedule (I have a whole list of stretches and things I have to do daily). After the bike while I'm cooling down I do these before showering. Unfortunately I rely on a lil luck to be able to do any of this at all, as intensive days forbid it pretty much.
Hahaha, yeah I'm a little guilty at ******ed attempts at flirting with them. Most of them are so reserved but there is one that has shown me brief glimpses of her true personality, too bad she's happily married eh? There's still time though, there's still time...
GOD when you apply for these studies they ask "Do you drink?" "Do you smoke?" "Do you take drugs?" They should ask "DO YOU SNORE?!?"

Thanks man. I'll be alright, if I didn't go crazy losing everything I won't go crazy in here, not while you guys are keeping my spirits up

Had to be a fit and healthy male between the ages of 18-45. Non smoker, drink less than 10 units of booze a week, be drug free etc. And (and this was the one that got most people) Had to have an everage pulse rate of 65 or over. Anythign other got you rejected. It was tough because 65 is higher than most, and was set as such because of the tendency of the drug to lower pulses. Luckily some of us knew that this could be achieved in a variety of ways, like tensing your legs and sucking short bursts of breath to raise your heartrate hehe. 8k baby, we don't muck around :P

Hahaha yeah I've thought about that. Oddly enough I think that these lads possess the mentality that being on 2+2 would be like OMG I'M OBSESSED WITH TEH POKERZ AND AM A LOOZER. Which is ridiculous considering the fact that several of them are playing ALL F*CKING DAY. When this thread broke I wanted to tell them but I kinda felt a lil wierd and wanted to keep it to myself, like my own lil project, at least for now. I'm struggling as it is to keep up with all the posts and answer all the questions, it's be too hard with them hassling me, throwing things at me, kicking the footy and knocking over the test tubes by my bed (true story :P)

It's legal. Somehow. Guess it's just an invisible part of the whole medicine thing. They pay, and it's tax free. There's big money in this, that much I do know.
