I already posted this at stoxpoker, but i figure more people could have some fun with this at my expense.

Well here it is. Obviously i suck. The graph with less hands is from this year and it mostly .5/1NL, with about 50,000 hands of 1/2NL and .25/50NL respectively. Other graph is lifetime and covers the last two year. All hands except 50,000 are at Poker Stars. I've worked with two coaches for 5-10 hrs and watched videos here for a year. So, yeah, if this was you would you just give up?

Whenever I see the redline way above the blue line I always say turn down the aggression and tighten up a little bit. I had the same problem as you for 40k~ hands back when I started playing poker a year ago and I eventually just tightened up and played VERY ABC/exploitable poker at these lower limits and so far it has been working. There is no reason to be opening almost every CO/BTN, no need to be 3betting light from SB/BB, no need to be 3betting an UTG's opening from the BTN etc etc. 3.4 AF is pretty high for 25NL-100NL...Anything from 2.0-3.0 should be sufficient enough. No need to run fancy bluffs etc. I am sure you have heard much of this before, but the hardest part of being a successful microstakes player is actually putting these ideals into practice. I play something along the lines of 17/14/2.5 at 50NL and 100NL and I get something along the lines of 5-7 PTBB/100 9 tabling. I am sure many out there can even get better winrates than that. Sadly enough its not over a large sample size, but at least it has promising future results.

Keep on playing, it can really only get better.

Oh and if you watch like 2/4 videos and see people doing crazy things thats because there is a much larger difference from 100NL to 400NL as compared to 25NL to 100NL.

Yeah you have some good points. I think i used to win a lot more money before i started trying to win/breakeven in non showdown pots. Although it doesn't help that i can't win a showdown if my life depended on it.

Yeah, I guess I am but I find myself playing MUCH tighter with 9 tables as compared to 4 tables. With 4 tables I run something like 25/23, but I guess most people play tighter with more tables. If I 24 tabled I would probably be playing like 11/9 LDO

I just don't see enough of a need to build "image" at low stakes. Regs will see my stats and see me stealing 35% and 3betting 8% and will automatically think the exact same thing if I was playing 25/23 as compared to 17/15.

op, in pokers it is important to have a hand when you show it down!

If you you've watched videos, gotten 10+ hours of coaching, put in 100k+ hands, and have a very low/break even winrate, you are very likely misapplying or not applying concepts that you've learned. In short, you aren't playing your A game nearly often enough.

Your problem is likely psychological. There are a few coaches that help with that, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Solid graph for the first 470k hands. You obviously know how to play, just quit spazzing out. solsek's advice is spot-on.

I had something similar happen, where over say 80k hands I was losing a ton\break even, I watched a bunch a video's posted a lot of hands and just worked on my game. Problem was, all those fancy things you see and learn aren't to necessary at these stakes, just crush donks reading hands well and playing pretty much ABC nit poker. My win rate jumped form 3 ptbb to 7.5 ptbb pretty quick, it's mostly you thinking to much and making a sophisticate "correct" play that is the same as spazzing Vs. an idiot. You were winning so you know you can, prolly just hit a point where you got ballsy\comfortable enough to put all those fancy moves to use

ouch.

You better have a rakeback deal to make all that time spent vaguely worthwhile.

Solid post Ivan, A+

Joking aside, I completely agree with what SoUnreal said - just take a break and come back to the pokahs when you feel like you can concentrate fully and will be playing well. There's no point playing for the sake of it if you a) won't enjoy it and b) will probably end up losing due to your negative outlook.

Yeah some good points here. Anyone notice the EV line? LOL. Even getting it in good, or showing down something, doesn't seem to work all that well.
