Okay guys. I went broke <again>. And in order to save my life and set it on right track i made a degen-bet again.
I bet most important thing that i posses (my chair) that i will be in London in 2 days.
So, if i win, the guy pays for my road there.
I i am not in London in 2 days, i'm goin to ship him my chair.
And that is one think i could not do.
I borrowed money from everyone i could.
Got enought money to survive more than week there now, + to get there.
Wish me luck as i'm taking my chances here
Cheers, I'm on my way back to live games at Hipodrom!
May the variance be with you

I am in London now!
When i came here, i had 200£ in my pocket, a bag full of food, and guess what i did?

No! I did not took my shot at 1-2£ live games! I am really proud that i chosen to rent apparment over that, that means i'm getting dyscypline and momentum .

As You already noticed, i am far away from giving up on my dreams to become pro. My degening time is over, time for hard work. I am looking for job right now, but i state here and now, once i got it, the poker will be fully on my mind. I already got my destination place .....

Hipodrom casino at leicester square...
Gameplan set, now i'm going sleep becease tommorow i'm up all day searching for job again. I'm going to run around giving people CV's, and offering to clean theyr god damn garage.

About chair - i don't have it with me. It is really heavy - but it was Ergohuman model, i recommend it as most comfortable chair i ever sat on. Then again - i never had a good chair before.

This model.

I was a few days late in that London, but i negotiated it before it was 2 late and chair is still mine! **** ye i love those bets, i really thought about backing off few times, and then i remembered what was on stake. I literally could not back off

Cheers, Bartosz.

Where are you finding an apartment for 200 pounds?
Amazing Life Archievement! Quote

I've got a room, 85£ per week + 5£ for gas / electricity. Well it's a room but people use to call those rooms Boxes. I paid 85£ in deposit so far, and negociated with owner that i'll pay other 85 deposit next week.
From the other good news - I found a job!
I am sure it's not that kind of news You guys been waiting for, but I'm working tommorow + i got interview for another Job, for evenings. I'm pritty stubborn when i decide to do something, and i feel it's going good.

But i got a story for You guys.

On the begining of it, i want to state - i don't believe in karma. I always stated it is bull****. But ammount of unknown people helping me for no reason made me really re-think that.
(and i still think it's bull****)

I was buying a blanked, becease i can not afford an full cover for bed, and for some times i've been sleeping in my jacket - and some old lady noticed my chat with cashier.
She handled me some sweets and said ''for a better day''.
I was so god damn surprised i made big eyes, and kindly thanked her.
So, i went out, and i'm on my way to nearest KFC to handle more CV's , and i hear someone shouting after me. I turn back - and i see her.
She said that she has all sheets, pillows, etc, and she does not need it.
So i went with her, to her appartment, and we talked for like an hour in way, she told be about ****ed up priests, about a dude she helped cuz he was living on streets, but lately he stolen from her, and she told him he has to move away in a week.
And then she told that he will free a room and i could live in it , if i wanted. Free of charge.
I literally couldn't believe it. I offered some kind of work in return - she refused.
Later on that day a guy that said he needs me for one day told me he need 1 man to work for him full time. And tommorow is my tryout day.
IF karma would be true, i would be like best ****ing person in whole world, cuz all that **** happening to me is soooo higher than expected value.....
So, i'm collecting money, and training to get stacking.
Hopefully i'll take my first shots at live games in 2-3 weeks.
Cheers guys! I'm getting back in game, and, even tho i had to sleep in cold room, eat ****ty food i brought with me in cans, and literally knock to doors to ask for work - i am living a dream. Becease i am getting closer to become a poker pro.
May the variance be with You - Bartosz.

Allrighty Guys! It's getting interesting.
I got accepted at Poliish moving company.
Fun parts :
When i was applying for a job, the boss (who works in it himself) warned me about company mobbing policy.
By saying that i mean i herd : ''You got to be strong, both psychically, and mentally, becease we do mobbing alot and we don't give a ****''
So ye, job is OK, 60£/day, (i worked 2 days so far), the work was easy, but some of staff is really annoyoing. They're symphatic, and i don't really mean throwing insults back-and-forward with them, cuz it is not that bad, but imagine that (if You know how many black people are in london) You drive with someone that every time he sees one he screams ''****ing ******'' or he spits out of window and goes ''****ing somalia''. Like every time. That, + fact they smoke weed in car we all drive, shout ''what a ****ing bitch'' whenever they see a skirt (no matter if its like 9 Y.O).
It is ****ing annoying.
But whatever, atleast it won't be boring, and as i said - You can actually like those people for their honesty.
So,i got like 50£ of cash, not much food, but enought to survive till pay day and i stand on choice.
I can go, and take shot with 25 BB hoping to quadripple up, OR buy food/clothes/live normally.
as You see the decision is hard, but i think i'm going to casino right now, just to see how the competition looks.
I'm also getting second job, so i should be OK even if i lose ( i calculated, or well i pulled number out of my ass that i will double up like 55% of time and go broke 45%).
Looking at this from that Angle i don't have much to lose.
I got to pay second part of deposit anyway, this sunday (85£), and the rent (same ammount), so this friday i wouldn't be able to take shot at those games full-stacked anyway.
Wish me luck, as i go to test it.
Bartosz

Your story is sort of the opposite side of the coin of the story from a few months ago of the fish on a $1/$2 live heater who moved from one hellhole in the US Midwest to play poker in another hellhole in the Midwest, then lost his mojo and disappeared.

Good luck op, I hope you get some rungood.

Allright guys, an update.
I decided not to take a shot with such small roll.
I realized that it is -EV becease the transport costs are bigger than my possible ROI in that matter, and decided that i can gain bigger edge playing with atleast 80+ BB deep on Friday night, for 4,5hour (due to metro activity hours).
I'll try to accumulate as much money as possible till then, meditate and refresh my game.
Since i went busto right now i play 2 NL on stars (0,01-0,02) and analyze my hands from history + read a book on poker tells. (to improve my people-reading abillity)
I think this is way better choice, and as future poker pro i must concentrate on finding +EV, not gambling in hope to get lucky.
Cheers guys, I'll update freshly after Friday Night.
Yours, Bartosz.

have you considered just grinding like 100k hands or something at 10nl rather than taking shots at live games you're not bankrolled for? i think you could really benefit by just putting tons of hands online and using the option on stars to restrict your account from playing higher than a certain stake (like 10nl or 25nl.) sometimes it can be more exciting to take shots at games that are higher stakes than you're used to but when you think about the people who have had long term sustainable success in poker, they grind out a living by playing stakes within their bankrolls. so if you aspire to be someone who grinds poker for a living, why not approach it from that angle, rather than constantly taking shots, going bust, and starting over?

i really do wanna see you succeed in poker and wish you the best of luck. glgl man.

OPs problem is discipline. He needs to eliminate that problem.

Went to casino, -25£ in 3,5hour, 1-2£ blinds.
Was playing a little bit too loose, but pulled out few nice moves, one bad bluff that had not much of use (most costly play of session), 2 very good bluffs on just-perfect turn/river.
I over-estimated guys range for opening 5x+ calling 12,5BB 3-bet (UTG vs UTG+1), and didn't pulled trigger on flop.
So far it was OK, i got alot to learn.
Next time i'll buy in fully stacked and more confident. Now it's time to sleep, GN guys. Another week of hard work awaits me

About the grinding idea - i am simultanously grinding my bankroll back online, on 2 NL at this moment.
I am working on dyscypline, i think i'm going a little better everyday- but yes, i need alot of improvement.

I got kinda paranoid and didn't wanted to share hands detail last night, but i believe i shouldn't really care that much.
So the hand i think increased my edge on competition and won additional blinds was.
UTG, very loose player that limps too much, calls too much prefloop, but is kinda solid postflop raises to 2 BB
Folded to MP2, that is young guy who just sit down, when i started chatting him up he said he's playing here for living. He raises to 7,5BB and button, a solid and aggresive player call.
I'm on SB, looking at K7s (love to see a blocker, but i would rather to see an ace there)
I raise to 30 BB and suddenly go quiet. No eye contact, no move and i stare at the board.
Everyone folds, i said ''i can show my hand for small blind'' - noone wanted to see it (i was really suprised) and the guy is ''i know good that You had it -you're all talkative and suddenly you go silent''
I'm like ''But i could just do it becease i knew you would fold''
- '' ye sure, why would you want me to fold when you had a big hand '' His tone of voice on last one was literally telling me that he doesn't believe me at all and is 100% convinced i had it. Funny, i told the truth at every single moment, and used the ''i go silent when i bluff'' method one more time, against other observant opponent. I am going to mix it up now, (next time i'll get there) becease i feel like they're picking on it.
I shown this sign in such outstanding manner, i mean i was talking NON-stop for 3 hours. Laughing, making funny comments (at least to me, and mby one more guy at the table) greeting new players and chatting up anyone that wanted to talk. I REALLY really like being friendly, so creating best atmosphere for recreational guys is what i do naturally. You know, funny bets, i proposed 72 offsuit game, paying to see cards (little money, just for the fun of it), and ongoing chat with smile of my face.
I must say playing live poker is what i was born for, so now i must improve my dyscypline and technical aspects of game, and i am god damn sure i'll break thro.
Cheers , hope You enjoyd my story

Another week of hard work after me.
Tomorrow i'll take 85 BB's and try to take shots again.
I realized i lack dyscypline what is striking on me mostly at tournaments, where i do WAAAY worse than cash games.
On cash gmaes i'm doing OK , and vs Amateur i am crushing.
So, thats so far.
Wish me luck 2morrow.

Getting some momentum. last weekend i failed tournament (-80£) but happens. This night i playd so so , like B-C game, and cashed +320£. It's nice start, but i'll need to play better than that to profit.
For now going slepe. GN

How much was the damage? Stay focused and you might want to play ABC TAGish if you are underrolled for the 1-2 game (and it is 1-2, no need to try fancy bluffs).

Damage was bluffing away most of my stack at tourney , and then bluffing 200£ into guy that just call-call-call-call with AA (set from turn). After hand i thought for a second and even if i could stand behind for turn barrel, the river one was plain r-tarded.
Those guys very often play NIT / Loose Passive. Some pros in mix - but on friday night it's really easy money.
After hour or two, or a hand that triggers emotions i started playing **** hands and calling too wide, eventually trying to bluff people that are unbluffe-able.
Those mistakes are so god damn obvious it hurts me - yet i repeat them often.
Mental game it is, eh.
