Nothing at all, he’s grinding beyond what would drive most folks insane. That’s got a whole lot more to do with it than how hard the game is getting. And poker is not just about grinding tables, a real grinder (like Spacegravy) can do what he does because he trades off higher ROI on less table for lower ROI on more tables to produce greater profit. It’s just that simple if the games have gotten harder that might have more to do with a given player not figuring out how to adjust to the specific table or the overall new environment than it does to how difficult the tables have gotten. If he was playing outside of this bet and had the liberty to clear his head and not chase an arbitrary result he’s crush this level.

I’m not playing 9 man events any more, and I don’t play @ $60, but I’ve watched some of these and realized how freaking soft they are and jumped in two of them with Spacegravy, while I was observing this crazy circus show. He did not cash in either and more so IMHO had nothing to do with this skill, but possibly more related that it’s harder to adjust to retards if you are playing 18+ tables. I cashed in one and finished 5 in the other and yes I know two events mean nothing but playing two while casually observing a few others granted me the liberty to adjust more specifically to the players in the game. Just that simple…

Don’t write him off on this early start and don’t assume that games have become uber hard, that’s absurd without real data to back it up….

meh he'll be fine. He'll sleep 14 hours, wake up and say "yesterday sucked mang" with a laugh. Then he'll have a 6k day.

Re: 40K in 30 days at $60 sng's prop bet

First of all people call him extremely light now what I've seen - imo too light!

I wish him good luck with the bet, he might still win it - it's early.
On the other hand, if he loses people might reconsider getting into playing SnG's and won't perceive them as easy money anymore.

I'm talking about last prop bet.Definitely people started paying closer attention to SNGs once spacegravy got the recognition that you can make 25K in 21 days playing like a robot.

people seem to forget that he can easily have a 10k day with the volume he is playing. i doubt he is worried much at all.

No doubt, I still maintain the position that it was foolish to bet against him. I don't care if he's down 10K come Saturday morning. Feb might be a short month but it's long enough....

Is there one person who actually knows Gravy IRL that doesn't think he can do this?

Re: 40K in 30 days at $60 sng's prop bet

i would think it would be smartest to stick to the 9 mans. Seems like putting in huge volume and maintaining a high level of play would be hard when playing a variety of formats.

Re: 40K in 30 days at $60 sng's prop bet

Of course he can have a 10K day but it really comes down to ROI...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, or this has been posted elsewhere coz I didn't follow the whole thread.

I calculated the ROI he can expect, second number is the number of games he has to play in 30 days in total, the third one gives the avarage number of games per day.

5% 14545 484
6% 12121 404
7% 10389 346
8% 9090 303
9% 8080 269

It's hard to imagine him gaving ROI higher than 7%. Can he really play 346 games /day ? I guess he can afterall, but no idea how much sleep he will have after this epic session. In order to pull this off you need to support your brain with some chemicals =/

I haven't played 60's but 5% ROI is considered ok, and he needs more than that to win.
