I just started playing again mid/end May.
Started keeping track of my game at the beginning of June.

About 3 years ago I played poker pretty actively for about 6 months.
I studied a lot, posted here a lot and read a lot of books.
Then I quit.

Now I just started playing again.
Watching lots of videos, re-reading my books, posting here, ...

I have a local poker club near me that holds tournaments 5 days a week. Most of them are pretty turbo and some are really hyper.
Buy-in is €20 and the field is usually between 80-100 players with the top 9-12 receiving pay-outs starting at €55 up to €400-€500 for 1st place.

I have played 23 tournaments over the last month and only managed to cash once at 4th place for €105.
I also claimed two €7.5 bounties in one of the few bounty tournaments.

Current month isn't going much better.
I'm down a total of €320 at the moment, which is 16 buy-ins and I haven't cashed in the last 21 tournaments.

Since I have no background as a winning player, this is totally ruining my confidence.

I feel like I'm studying as much as I can, I feel like I'm one of the better players at the club and almost always one of the better players at my table.
I see people make huge mistakes all the time.
I see myself make some mistakes now and then, made a few big ones too, which probably cost me a few tournaments.
But I think I should be able to beat these tournaments easily.

TLDR: I'm insanely frustrated since I've lost 21 tournaments in a row and have no proof whatsoever that I'm actually a good player!

I heard that even the best players only cash/win 15% of their tournaments. So if you're sitting at 23 and you cashed one you're doing ok. Get used to the tournament variance.

I've played about the same amount and have only cashed twice so far one 8th place and one 14th place.

The super fast nature of pub poker, makes variance a *****.

However the level of competition usually makes up for it.

So you have a 85% chance of not cashing. Take that say 21 times and you have .85^21 = 3% chance of striking out 21 times in a row.

That means on any/every given tournament, there's greater than a 3% chance of starting the 21 car fail train.

In a vacuum I guess, or you could just lose 85000 tournaments until you die. If you're immortal you'll win/cash the next 15000.

Best advice I ever received was to google "Latina rim job." Find a nasty clip. Jerk it. Blast. Get back in the game.

You could always go work at a Belgian waffle joint to recoup the losses.
