And this is the reason their drive thrus are at least 3 times slower than any other drive thru out there, probably 5x slower than Wendy's. It is their excuse for being slow.

No it is not. You need very good table selecting skills along with very good poker skills to stand a chance in these games.

And Jesse...this isn't the forum you want to post on to get 6max online advice FYI, I think you know that, but I never see you posting in there, don't be scared.

Instantly turning your hand over when you know its good or if it is your turn to do so.

Say you bet the river with the nuts, the second your opponent has called, turn your hand over.

Another example is if you are calling a bluff on the river, and your opponent says he missed. Instead of waiting for his hand to materialize like some *******s do, simply fast roll your A hi, since it should be good unless your opponent is an idiot or an *******.

If you have K high or worse, it is up to you to decide if you think it is indeed good, or if you want to let your opponent muck or turn his hand over, just in case he was bluffing with the best hand. This is the time you don't want to fastroll, since the action isn't on you to show your cards.

This is wrong. Fast-rolling is tabling your hand out of turn. See Tommy Angelo's book for specifics.

Brick -- did you improve your hand or win with ace-high?

Sorry I don't worship at the church of Tommy Angelo, but clearly my last 2 paragraphs are correct.

Yah, what's up with that? It's pretty clear they were just making **** up as they were going along and eventually were like, "whoops", gotta tie this up somehow 'cause the series is ending.

Kinda like X-files, but with an actual ending.

It's amazing what taking a break from playing can do to one's outlook on life.

This is true. If you order a bunch of stuff that cooks differently, you will have to be patient. If you get a breakfast jack (real whole eggs, btw) a cheeseburger, a taco, and something with chicken, it will take awhile to cook all that. But your reward for waiting a few minutes is that everything is hot, and not because it's been sitting under a heat lamp for the last 2 hours.

Cap'n, obv it's your roomate who knew he was gonna have a loud smelly one and didnt want new girl to smell or hear. As far as chopsticks go, well I can't work them. When I was in china for the olympics we went to this awesome restaraunt where apparently only hawt chicks are allowe to waitress. Anyway we ordered some noodle dish and we were all struggling and there were 4 cute waitresses in a corner laughing at us. Finally one of them came over took all our bowls and cut up the noodles for us.

I'm confused. I thought no one in a live game ever c/rs the turn as a bluff? Was that guy lying about his intentions, or do you guys know less about how your opponents play than you think you do?

I dunno. I mean, she could have needed to lay a brick and didn't want to go in his bathroom and stink it up (and it's directly attached to his room, so noises could be in earshot), so she leaves and uses the "community" bathroom (mine) to avoid embarassment.

Or he was in there busy brushing his teeth, tossing used condoms, whatever, but she has to go and so she uses the other available bathroom (mine).

I don't think a hot chick has ever cut up noodles for me. You are the man.

Another related story -- my hallway bathroom is directly connected to the dining room/dining table (they share the same wall). When we first moved in, the bathroom fan didn't work so I went to Home Depot to replace it.

Home depot guy says "you have two options in fans, the cheap, loud one, or the more expensive whisper quiet one". We bought the quiet one 'cause I'm balla like that.

A couple days later, we realized that was a mistake. When we remodeled the bathroom a few years later, the salesperson asked us again what kind of fan we wanted to put in. He starts going over dB levels, air throughput stats, extra lights, etc.

"I don't care about that stuff, I just want the LOUDEST fan you guys sell." He looks at me funny, "huh?"

Obv, I hate visualizing women taking a dump so I refuse to believe it wasnt your roommate. Also, I am sure she would make sure that it was flushed properly assuming she was actually capable of producing a log that large.

maybe she just assumed it flushed.

I think "wtf, whatever, I'll piss and flush, and then what's the worse that could happen." So I piss, and then I close the lid and flush (those of you who don't close before flushing, you guys are sick. you know how much crap gets blasted into the air?) and then I open it again and that thing is still there.
do you know if your roomate closes the lid when he flushes?

if youre not sure id say its more likely it was the female that used the bathroom.

no they do stupid things like jesses opponent was going to do. instead of making sane semibluffs they make suicidal almost no equity at all "taking a stand against the guy that betbetbets" bluffs.

brag: won money playing razz today
variance: still suck at razz
beat: turned 30k win into 10k loss yesterday

My cat takes a massive dump (for weighing 7.5 pounds) every other day. Ive always just assumed women did this also. Maybe it was her time to go?

Women = cats
Men = dogs

right?

Re: May Low-Content Thread

my medium stakes grinding headphones are starting to fall apart (quietcomfort2) and i want new ones. i see everyone at commerce with those monster red/black ones these days so not much variety. what over-ear headphones are good and cost $300ish? i was going to say price is not an object but then i looked for headphone reviews online and saw that some headphones cost $1500+ so it turns out that price is definitely an object. on-ear like the qc3 are not the headphones for me for poker and i already have in-ear headphones that i like when i need them.
