I've often wondered at the silliness of the fact that boobies (the bloo footed kind) are a classic example of sexual selection. The linguistic irony is so win.

What's surfdoc's theorem? I'm too lazy to search the archives.

As far as this hand goes, I played it back in October 2011, so I don't remember everything. I was pretty sure that SB (who also posted the kill BTW), flopped either a set of 7's or had K7s, J7s for a flopped two pair. By the river, believe it not, I actually considered just calling. I don't remember exactly what I thought of the player, since I was up in the bay area on business and don't have any history with any of the players at the table.

No way. Vanilla remote mines with mid-air detonation. Just don't kill yourself.

I spent far too much time on this thread and wish everyone the best in relationships despite whether your views align with mine.

Dig back through the many careful hours you've spent mastering interpersonal theory and find a way not to be a completely unbearable smug showoffy condescending know-it-all prick 100% of the time.

I understand, honestly I do. After all, I'm not surfdoc or leodoc or any type of doc, but hopefully one day I will be. Until then, no way anything I say could come from a source that's qualified - so I'll refrain from posting advice on 2+2, that way your eyes will never have to be strained, ok?

Ftr I cannot think of a post I ever made towards you or in any thread you ever posted in. Maybe you are upset about the post where I disrespected the sanctity of 2+2 by revealing my opinion of stating the overall population is "not good at poker." Or maybe you dislike my freakishly awesome penguin avatar. Whatever it is, I could not care less.

Wish you the best pal (not really).

small brag. have a first date w/ a cute skier tonight that i met last time i went to windham. we met on the lift and i didn't have time to get her name/# (4 person lift and the guy was doing most of the talking + i had a girl friend on the lift behind me who likes me so i didn't want her to see i was getting this chick's #...not b/c i like her but just b/c i didn't want her to be hurt or whatever). rest of the story is in the eld forum dating thread w/ pics (of the way we met illustrated in paint, by me... not of the girl).

amazingly, this chick:
- likes quality beer,
- loves rap/hip-hop (i was raised on 94-2000 rap and my iphone is predominately that + some later eminem, roots, black thought, jayz, and some rare newer stuff),
- she's v close w/ her family, has a sister the same age as my brother and her sis is her best friend (like my brother is to me).
- and SUPER importantly, LOVES skiing and goes as much as she can....but she's not very good. kind of a beginner (only does easy blues and greens). but beginner who loves it >>>>>>>>>> girls who would give me grief about loving skiing so much (like the ex did)
- also she's very outdoorsy and loves kayaking, white water rafting etc. basically all the stuff i like to do, if this works out i'd have a partner.

Previous girl now an ex, Barron? Good, she always interfered with your gambol. Hopefully this new chick doesn't repeat that.
02-09-2012 , 02:41 PM
Which was worse: that previous gf interfered with your gambol or with your skiing?
02-09-2012 , 03:35 PM
Sigh, I miss snowboarding. It has been years. The 5 days in the rain in the past 3 months are probably doing Tahoe no favors.

In other news its 70 degrees in Oakland.

yea drew. i broke up w/ her in december. she wanted to get like, married and stuff.

seriously though there were lots of reasons we weren't a match. but did she really interfere? i thought she was super goot about that and she had nothing but nice things to say about you and dave. she even brought us that bottle of sake and glasses she swiped from izakaya.

this isn't a question lol. **** with my skiing at your own peril.

the ex had lots of redeeming qualities (among them, 2 were size D on a 105lb frame) but we just weren't a match when push came to shove (and it did as she was ready to settle down).

as they say, your last love points you closer to your true love.

also, i've NEVER been in anything (relationship/dating/anything) where i could be listening to my music and NOT have to change it when she enters the car.

I didn't really mean anything by my post. I was staring at the screen thinking of something to type as a post-mortem to the relationship so you'd reply and we could get more of the story and your thoughts about it. After about 30 seconds I got bored and typed something random that was sure to get you to respond. She was fine, you gambled all night a few times that you brought her down, and she seemed to enjoy hanging out in the poker room, which is cool. The frequency of your trips has decreased recently, which I guess is due to ski season.

Shoot me a text, btw. My phone erased like 80% of my contacts one day randomly and I bet yours was one of the casualties.
