I get in town on June 11th im interested in started 20-40 25-50 30-60 40-80 or 50-100 LHE anywhere besides belagio. Rio, ARia or wynn would be my first choices. if anyone seriously interested PM me or post in here.

Rio would probably have the best chance of starting. I'll be playing a fair amount of cash there and will definitely put my name on the board if you start a list.

There's probably better places besides the Rio, the cash games (the timed games anyway) don't have automatic shufflers and the dealers are ****tier (when it comes to holdem I guess it doesn't matter.)

Aria and Venetian are probably better choices IMO

The rake is going to be the highest at the Rio.

That's all true, but it's still the place that would have the best chance of going and then continuing once it starts.

I kind of like that the Rio has all those deficiencies because it disproportionately discourages grinders versus recreational players from playing there. I feel like the games are generally much softer than other venues. Plus they have free parking.

The rake is the same everywhere now. At least WSOP doesn't have a jackpot drop.

They didn't have LHE at all last year when I checked. Everyone is happy to sign up if SOMEONE ELSE starts a list. Well, step up and start it yourself. It won't hurt, I promise.

The Pavilion is going to be the first place out-of-towners look for the game they want to play. Do it there. People want to play a couple of hours between tournaments, they're not going to travel all the way to the Wynn or Aria.

The "rake" is the same everywhere now, but Bellagio doesn't rake their bigger games. $6 per half hour time charge for 20/40, and I think $7 for 40/80. I'm guessing at least Aria and possibly other casinos would also do a time charge for bigger games. Almost certainly RIO will not. Years ago when they got 20/40 LHE going, they charged $5 per hand, and took it even if there was no flop.

I'll probably be playing cash there on the 11th so I'll start a list then if no one else has. What limit makes sense? I was thinking 25-50 or 30-60 to give it some differentiation from Bellagio but maybe that doesn't matter. I have no idea what limit a game needs to be to be held in the new high stakes area/lounge but that would be nice.

What's wrong with bullaggio?

Probably the 40+ person lists to get in to a game

The only other option really is the Rio. The real issue with finding a new spot is that casual/recreational players already know there is only spot in town to play limit. You need to find a spot that's going to grab foot traffic, otherwise the only people who know about are going to be guys who read this thread. Finding a new spot to play gets tossed around every few years. It nevers gains steam because everyone quickly realizes all the bad players just come to town planning on playing at the Bellagio where they already know the only game is.

Rio gets good traffic for 75 o8, maybee try 75 hodlem. Big enough that people would play while waiting for big plo or ofc or whatever and big enough that people would show up to play it. The larger the limit the more likely the game will start/run short handed which is also important

Right. Most of the summer people looking to play limit just ping pong back and forth between the Bellagio and the Rio, so those are the only two places you're going to realistically get any amount of randoms in the game. If you're playing high enough or get to hoard a lucky couple randoms you can make the game run elsewhere for a bit. In the end though all those guys who come in to lose a few grand playing limit while on their WSOP vacation are still all heading to the Bellagio because that's the only place they know a game runs and their plans get made to play their. The new game just ends up being a bunch of 'in the know' regs playing each other for a while everyone else still just funnels in to the Bellagio

WSOP 40/80 and 75/150 O8 games are time games, think 50/100 stud8 was as well so you should be able to get LHE for time as well if you can get this started.

Either 30 or 75 HO would be good chance to get holdem players that are comfortable enough w another flop game to play, esp considering the H will play bigger as a scoop game. And it would likely draw a lot of O8 players who, for the most part might not play expert holdem. While HOT would be fun to play, I think the cash game dealers mostly have trouble dealing draw and it might turn off players more comfortable w flop games.

It appears the WSOP is trying to keep Bravo updated. Quite a diversity of games (no LHE yet). No idea how up to date it is though.

The new super high deluxe baller area has some wild looking tables. For some screwy reason though they put wooden racetracks like the bad old MGM and Monte Carlo days.

Take a time machine back to 2008 and get to play 100/200 at Rio with Teddy Monroe and ODB.

I'd vote for HO

I think if it's HO it should be 40-80 to avoid competing with the 20 or 75 o8 games. I'll start a list today and see if anyone signs up.

So apparently there's a different board for holdem so a lhe list would be buried amongst the nlhe games instead of with all the other limit games. I didn't start an HO list because it didn't seem to make sense since someone already started a 40 o8 list. And I didn't want to walk over to the holdem board.

Cliffs: CL got confused and didn't start any lists.

Doesn't sound like that bad an idea to put it on the hold 'em list. If I were looking for a LHE game I wouldn't look on a mixed game board.

Just find Bobby Bellande and get him to sit at an empty table with green chips. The game will fill up in minutes.
