Merge offered PL 2-7 td but not limit version for a while, which was odd, but fun. I just wouldn't want to create big pots OOP without hands that should be doing really well against our opponent's range (unlike flhe where we can 3 bet OOP without that requisite). Snowing or raising to break in position is usually very profitable, esp against limit players that are on the tight/passive side. I've no idea how to correctly figure out bet sizing. And like you said, prob not too many scared players in this tourney.

Man, missing bets left and right in a rather good early morning Bellagio game.

A little over an hour into MM, new player sits down and limps UTG, raise in middle position gets called in 2 places, UTG repops it and is heads up with small blind. Flop is 984 2-tone, SB craises and UTG shoves, AA < 88.

5 minutes later the exact same guy shows up again having rebought and drawn the same seat!!

Hey any of you medical guys able to answer a question. If my mom if like the text book definition of compromised immune system is there any risk at the Rio with the legionnaires? My parents watch the limit tournament and stay a night at the hotel so they don't have to drive at night. Is this like a no risk situation now or should she avoid the hotel?

i was highly immuno compromised for years and i was always told to steer clear of situations where i might contract an infection or virus since it would be way worse for me than normal.

here, since there were only 2 cases of the disease, and since the main mechanism that it spreads is via water vapor in the air, if it were a serious problem, you'd expect more than just 2 people (i.e. if it were being circulated throughout the air conditioning systems).

the bad news is that the disease stays alive for a while once it's in a water system or in the water in the air. the good news is that it's unlikely to survive treatment that air goes through when recirculated via modern air conditioning systems

so there is SOME risk, but it appears to be minimal. if they're really worried, have them stay at another hotel and be there only for the event

Not a medical guy, but the news story said they did disinfect the affected systems, so those are cleaner than the random hotel.
