Live LHE: is Vegas really dead?

It seems like LA (Bike and the Commerce) and the Bay Area (Bay 101, Artichoke Joe, and Oaks) have more games then Vegas or Reno. Reno seems to mainly have small stakes except for occasional game at the Peppermill while in Vegas it’s just the Bellagio.
Do I really have to stay in Cali and pay Cali rent to get a consistent game?

No, you can also buy a house and pay a Cali mortgage.

Or buy (and live in) a camper van, and pay Cali gas prices and parking tickets.

There have always been more LHE games in California than Las Vegas, at least in the ~13 years I have been playing in both places.
